a beautifully decorated resturant, the painting is the highlight of the decor in this beautiful establishment.

i had the pleasure of enjoying a buffet breakfast at koi, thank you to the capital hotel, it was included in the overnight stay.

the layout is not the best as everyone is cramming to get there breakfast, i would suggest they plan the layout of breakfast eats in a more orderly way.

the omelettes where great, the salmon was a disappointment as it wasn't as subtlety smoked as normally is.

the hot chocolate a winner, along with the mini croissants.

i would love to give the meals another try, especially the sushi and dum sum.

we have been waiting and waiting to visit koi....

and it was soooo totally worth it! wow and wow again!!

the food was awesome!! the service above average with a very personal touch. thank you theo.

will definitely be back 😀😀

after an evening spent at the capital hotel we had breakfast at koi. you can also order room service from koi as the hotel doesn't have their own kitchen and work in conjunction with koi. the decor is that of pastel colours with oriental flair. the breakfast is set up buffet style with a variety of options. we ordered poached eggs and they were cooked well, with fresh croissants and salmon. i had a red cappuccino and my fiancé just had orange juice. we also had fresh fruit and yogurt. the staff are friendly and the manager is very hands on.

super modern finishes of great taste. outstanding service. curious to try some more interesting options on the menu. the salmon and tuna poke bowl was delicious.

we were really looking forward to the opening of koi! and it certainly didn't disappoint! the food was excellent! dim sum, sushi fresh and tasty as can be with the best range of dipping sauces! our waiter could have been more attentive, and they are still waiting for there liquor license but a great spot for a tasty meal.

this place has the best sushi ever! soo yummy! we just stopped by for some takeaways and decided to have drinks and sushi while we wait....gorgeous restaurant, very modern... insightful and polite waitstaff....
we had the beef ribs for takeaway and they were stunning! 😋

modern scandinavia decor and an open space makes this restaurant feel breezy. it is situated on the menlyn maine square, so you can get some fresh air, but are still in the shade. we ordered tapas including sea bass ceviche, waghu sliders 🍔 and 🍣. it was all delicious but the ⭐️ of the show was the ceviche. absolutely incredible. the service too was top notch, our waiter, stalin, is a true professional.

was really looking forward to dinning at koi, and it went beyond our expectations, their food is well prepared in some different class, nice deserts, mains and starters with different tea choices.. i'm really coming back again, we felt welcomed and very appreciated.. loved everything about it

shocking service! called for the manger twice and he didn't bother coming. my side salad came after i was done with my fish (and i'm a slow eater). food was average too!

brendan linder and i had a lovely lunch here one sunday afternoon and the food for the most part was spectacular and fresh. the music created a vibrant atmosphere and made for an afternoon well spent. the tempura prawns and my sushi platter was sensational. the pad thai noodles were flavourless and require much improvement. the deep fried dim sum were also memorable. the service was slow , but due to them opening recently that was expected. i look forward to coming back ☺️

cockroaches!!! ... now that i have your attention... koi at menlyn maine literally had cockroaches everywhere! we wanted to enjoy a lovely dinner but unfortunately did not happen. we initially received terrible service from one of the waiters and then when we finally got our food after waiting 45 minutes with nobody checking on us, we got our food with a side of cockroaches. we asked them what was going on and they said they had recently fumigated ... if that’s true then why are you open? koi is a health hazard, i don’t care how good people say the food is, unless you enjoy eating cockroaches (which is literally fine) then go to koi menlyn maine, if not, then don’t go. have a blessed evening. goodbye

also, we unfortunately couldn’t take pictures of the cockroaches because they were running around the table at speeds faster than usain bolt so...

i had been meaning to visit koi for some time, and i had, in the meantime, done my research with regards to their menu as well as other reviews - and i must say it lived up to the hype. except for the lengthy wait for the food, the food itself was exceptional. tried out three of their speciality sushi, the soft shell crab as well as the korean bbq wings, and i must say every single food item was lip smacking! can’t wait to go back😍

the menu is limited but delicious. the dim sum and bao buns are authentic and tastey. i had the chocolate fondant for dessert. it was sweet, tangy warm and cool.

impeccable service. their line fish was perfect. it was a bit of a pity that their 'signature' cocktails were not available but what we had was still amazing.

the food is delicious. small bowls to share where you can taste a couple of dishes. best sushi in pretoria. nice vibe and service was really good.
