ms.. very disappointed in the service. we had a group of 8, spent about $400 between food & drinks. one member of the group found a clump of hair on her plate. it was pointed out to the waitress. we did not ask to speak to a manager nor did we ask to have the dish removed from out bill. a few minutes later, the owner came to our table with the dish in hand and told us there was no way that came out of his kitchen that way and he thought someone at our table pulled the hair out of a comb or brush and put it on the plate. completely inexcusable behavior by an owner/manager. we explained our tab was $400+ dollars why would we do something like that to have a $10 meal taken off the bill? not to mention, not one person had a comb or brush with them. 2 of the ladies had no purse at all and the other 2 ladies in the group had only small change purses with them carrying license and credit card. everyone one else was male.

i live in savannah and frequented that restaurant 2-3 times per month, held many business dinners at the venue but after this treatment will absolutely never step foot in theplaceagain nor will i ever recommend to anyone else. sad thing is had we not been treated in this manner and accused of "planting a wad of hair" we would have most definitely continued to visit and spend our money at this restaurant even after finding the hair. we certainly understand that unfortunately things like this happen and no restaurant is free from accidental mishaps. shame on the owner for such an unnecessary and ridiculous display of professionalism, or lack thereof.

jazz’d was recommended by a lot of people when asked about the best places to have a night out in savannah. they do not take reservations unless it is for a large group, so we had to wait about 40 minutes to get a table on a saturday night. theplacewas very loud on account of having 3 bachelorette parties being hosted there.

i ordered a citrus basil martini and it was fantastic. to start off with, we ordered the calamari, firecracker shrimps and the hot spinach dip. even though theplacewas extremely busy, we got our food on time. the firecracker shrimp was amazing. the shrimps were fresh and the sweet and spicy sauce was well balanced. the hot spinach dip lived up to its reputation. it had lots of artichoke pieces smothered in hot cheese and spinach. the calamari, however, was a disappointment for me. it was soggy and the coating was flaking off. the marinara sauce was not impressive either.

we decided to order the chorizo sliders as well. even though we were not waiting for two long, our waitress, simone, checked in with us to see if we got our sliders on time. when we told her that we are still waiting on it, she apologized and went to check on it. the came back and informed us that she had forgotten toplacethe order and apologized profusely. she then gave us a complimentary seared tuna. this ended up being my favorite dish of the night. the tuna was fresh and the wasabi aioli and wonton base were perfect parings for it. the service was impeccable and we felt well cared for. simone was an excellent hostess and gave us some other recommendations for restaurants as well.

the noise level at the restaurant is a bit bothersome. they should also get some new, comfortable chairs. not the idealplacefor a romantic dinner but the atmosphere is great for drinks and a quick bite as the food and drinks are incredible.

the food was reallly good. although they say that they have "small plates" which is a complete lie. everything is regular portioned so we all ordered way too much food, but it was fun to taste basically the whole menu. our favorite dishes were the she-crab soup, the seared ahi plate (still thinking about it) and the chocolate torte. i give thisplace2 thumbs up for sure!

good date spot. not really tapas by spanish standards, but the same idea, just enlarged for the enlarged american. also, the onlyplaceright now where i can get snail. decent wine too. pricey, and the quality of food could be more consistent. when it is tourist season and they get really busy and quality drops.

way to ruin our wedding night!. let's start with the fact that we wanted our experience at jazz'd to be awesome. they came highly recommended by friends and we selected them as a venue for our wedding night. perhaps our expectations were too high. for how nice it looks, you expect jazz'd to be upscale. the food and drinks (although priced at an upscale level) are not quite up to par. the food was good at best and the drinks were watered down. prior to our wedding we went to jazz'd to try them out with friends. the drinks were tasty yet weak. the service was very slow. the food was good but not all it had been hyped up to be. we decided to give them another chance as we enjoyed the atmosphere with the live music and thought it would make a funplaceto hold post wedding festivities. when we made arrangements for our wedding we were told to be sure we were there at 9 and not late. on the night of our wedding we showed up before 9 and ended up having to wait about 45 minutes to be seated in the small room we had reserved for our wedding party. it was embarrassing. our guests wanted to know why we were having to wait. i didn't have a good answer. the hostess simply stated that there were still diners in our area that had eaten there prior to nine and were finished eating but hadn't left and they should be finishing up soon so we had to wait. it was ridiculous. they weren't even apologetic. when we were finally seated we had one waiter for 12 people and it took a long time just to get our first round of drinks. when it came time for our cake (which we had prearranged with them) we physically had to track down our waiter from in the kitchen to bring it to us and follow through with our requests. after we had the cake the waiter did not return the rest of the evening to check on us, see if we needed drinks or anything. we had to physically track him down again just to get the bill. the service was so bad that we ended up sending about half of our guests home early because they were bored and there was no one waiting on us. completely ridiculous! i had my heart set on thisplacebecause i thought with the live music and ambiance it would be perfect. even the live music was a let down as the musicians took very frequent breaks for long periods of time playing prerecorded music instead. completely appalled by thisplaceand will never return! save your money!!

unimpressive! the interior is weird it is in a basement and has a 90's feel meaning it needs to be redocarated. it was presented as a jazzplacebut had a 70's cover band singing to younger crowd. music got be annoying. the waitress was curt and the food was less than impressive too. tasteless steak! i wouldn't return if i was back in town.

favoriteplacefor a date, early drinks, tourists. im a local, but my visitors love this place. amibiance and food is amazing, as is the presentation. theres a variety on teh menu. drinks are a bit expensive, and there will probably be a fair wait on a friday/saturday. very good food and very good attention to diet restrictions/food allergies. romantic place.
the only complaint some guests i know have is the fact the live music (incredible) is loud, so older or the hearing impaired may find it hard to coversate/too much to handle. but its jazz'd right? bring on the music.

ok tapas, nice atmosphere. loved the basement location, speak-easy type of bar with cool drinks and sinatra-esque performers. the tapas we ordered were pretty good but didn't have that extra something that would make me rate this a greatplaceto eat. the chicken lettuce wraps seemed to lack seasoning. the lasagna was good but with all the cheese it was hard to tell if it had any other flavor. our other choice came out cold originally and we had to send it back to be re-cooked. if i lived in savannah i might come back a few times, but if you're passing through town there are other places you might want to hit instead. good drinks spot, though.

along the streets of savannah lurks a seductive nook called jazz'd. the restaurant is located in a lower level of a building. when i approached the building, i was excited to see that i was actually going downstairs to enter. the stage is set before you walk into the place. when i walked in, theplacewas better than i imagined. low lighting and paintings of jazz musicians, the ambiance envelops your mind. jazz'd is an eclectic joint that serves food tapas style while enjoying live jazz music every evening! for those who are not familiar with tapas, the style is simply small plates of food; appetizers, little bites. the menu is extraordinary and unequal to most. the dishes are so appetizing to your mind, eyes and mouth it is hard to figure out which plates to choose from. the menu has items such as: asiago grouper-unbelievable. anyone who says cheese and fish do not "go" together has not been to jazz'd. the grouper is crusted in the cheese, pan seared and is accompanied by an artichoke
