this is a small tapas (small plate) restaurant in the downstairs of savannah. here is how to order: pick two small plates per person and share at the table. works really well with 3-4 people. athe food was good. the truffle fries were a good start but my favorite two dishes ordered were the (1l chevre (goat cheese), tomatoes and toasted bagettes and the (2) muscles (broth was amazing). we also tried the oyster special with cheese and bacon which was good but not oustanding. the blackened salmon is highly recommended, and comes with a wonderful charred crust texture and great flavor. the shrimp and grits are not the traditional creamy grits and was more tomatoe based, and not favorite. for drinks, the basil lemon martini was ok, and a little sweet (i prefer drier). the jazzed manhattan is my recommendation. they have lived music, at least on weekends which is nice. the atmosphere is a little loud after themusicstarts (~9am) but a recommended spot close to city market downtown.

modern tapas. we went around 5:30 on a monday night, so i can't speak to themusicor the bar scene, but the tapas were very good. we had the mushroom ratatouille, five onion soup, and humus plate, and all were delicious. the server wasn't thrilled with us (probably because we weren't drinking) but she was very professional and efficient, so i can't complain. recommend.

great food, great value. we got the $60 tapas for two. lamb, sirloin was excellent. portions are near entree size and generous. prepared well. great drinks at a reasonable price. this is a new savannah favorite.musicon our visit was so so but the food more than compensated. this is less than waterfront restaurants while having far better food.

way to ruin our wedding night!. let's start with the fact that we wanted our experience at jazz'd to be awesome. they came highly recommended by friends and we selected them as a venue for our wedding night. perhaps our expectations were too high. for how nice it looks, you expect jazz'd to be upscale. the food and drinks (although priced at an upscale level) are not quite up to par. the food was good at best and the drinks were watered down. prior to our wedding we went to jazz'd to try them out with friends. the drinks were tasty yet weak. the service was very slow. the food was good but not all it had been hyped up to be. we decided to give them another chance as we enjoyed the atmosphere with the livemusicand thought it would make a fun place to hold post wedding festivities. when we made arrangements for our wedding we were told to be sure we were there at 9 and not late. on the night of our wedding we showed up before 9 and ended up having to wait about 45 minutes to be seated in the small room we had reserved for our wedding party. it was embarrassing. our guests wanted to know why we were having to wait. i didn't have a good answer. the hostess simply stated that there were still diners in our area that had eaten there prior to nine and were finished eating but hadn't left and they should be finishing up soon so we had to wait. it was ridiculous. they weren't even apologetic. when we were finally seated we had one waiter for 12 people and it took a long time just to get our first round of drinks. when it came time for our cake (which we had prearranged with them) we physically had to track down our waiter from in the kitchen to bring it to us and follow through with our requests. after we had the cake the waiter did not return the rest of the evening to check on us, see if we needed drinks or anything. we had to physically track him down again just to get the bill. the service was so bad that we ended up sending about half of our guests home early because they were bored and there was no one waiting on us. completely ridiculous! i had my heart set on this place because i thought with the livemusicand ambiance it would be perfect. even the livemusicwas a let down as the musicians took very frequent breaks for long periods of time playing prerecordedmusicinstead. completely appalled by this place and will never return! save your money!!

unimpressive! the interior is weird it is in a basement and has a 90's feel meaning it needs to be redocarated. it was presented as a jazz place but had a 70's cover band singing to younger crowd.musicgot be annoying. the waitress was curt and the food was less than impressive too. tasteless steak! i wouldn't return if i was back in town.

tremendous tapas, drinks, and music. jazz'd does a great job of serving hearty tapas, amazing drinks, and greatmusicin a pleasantly intimate atmosphere at a reasonable price. their idea of tapas is above-average sharing-size portions of a large variety of creative appetizers ranging from traditional spanish fare to flavorful modern takes on items like spare ribs and stuffed mushrooms. the caramel-apple-tini my girlfriend ordered was ridiculously good. service was great, and the blues band that was playing last saturday night was unbelievable. all in all, a great experience.

excellent ambience. had the tapas for 2. absolutely delicious and very filling. chorizo stuffed mushrooms and creme brûlée were my favorites. my husband enjoyed the lasagna and 5 onion soup.musicwas very relaxing and romantic. our server, greg, was very courteous, professional, and was on top of things - timing was excellent. never had to wait or ask for anything, he just knew. thank you for a very pleasant valentine's day experience.

favorite place for a date, early drinks, tourists. im a local, but my visitors love this place. amibiance and food is amazing, as is the presentation. theres a variety on teh menu. drinks are a bit expensive, and there will probably be a fair wait on a friday/saturday. very good food and very good attention to diet restrictions/food allergies. romantic place.
the only complaint some guests i know have is the fact the livemusic(incredible) is loud, so older or the hearing impaired may find it hard to coversate/too much to handle. but its jazz'd right? bring on the music.

we got the tapas for 2. enough food for 2 ladies. jeff our waiter was attentive. the crabcakes were full of berating and no crab. sent them back and got shrimp and scollop skewer which was good but a bit salty. the tuna is the underbelly cheaper cut but seared nicely. the beef is filling and tasty. the she crab soup was a 9. themusicis all over the place. the duo we heard played blus and smooth jaz and some pop covers. the housemusicwas classic rock, kind of strange for a jazz place. the pomegranate martini was delicious. chalone pinot smooth but a little fruity.

bummer. last time i went there-in december, the place fell short of my expectations. food wasn't nearly as good as i remembered it to be. maybe they changed chef's?

along the streets of savannah lurks a seductive nook called jazz'd. the restaurant is located in a lower level of a building. when i approached the building, i was excited to see that i was actually going downstairs to enter. the stage is set before you walk into the place. when i walked in, the place was better than i imagined. low lighting and paintings of jazz musicians, the ambiance envelops your mind. jazz'd is an eclectic joint that serves food tapas style while enjoying live jazzmusicevery evening! for those who are not familiar with tapas, the style is simply small plates of food; appetizers, little bites. the menu is extraordinary and unequal to most. the dishes are so appetizing to your mind, eyes and mouth it is hard to figure out which plates to choose from. the menu has items such as: asiago grouper-unbelievable. anyone who says cheese and fish do not "go" together has not been to jazz'd. the grouper is crusted in the cheese, pan seared and is accompanied by an artichoke

really likes it. the food, service and ambiance were great. themusicwas good but very loud. you could not hold a conversation with table mates unless you were speaking loudly. the portions were just the right size, we have 4 different menu items and were very satified.
