ms.. very disappointed in the service. we had a group of 8, spent about $400 between food & drinks. one member of the group found a clump of hair on her plate. it was pointed out to the waitress. we did not ask to speak to a manager nor did we ask to have the dish removed from out bill. a few minutes later, the owner came to our table with the dish in hand and told us there was no way that came out of his kitchen that way and he thought someone at our table pulled the hair out of a comb or brush and put it on the plate. completely inexcusable behavior by an owner/manager. we explained our tab was $400+ dollars why would we do something like that to have a $10 meal taken off the bill? not to mention, not one person had a comb or brush with them. 2 of the ladies had no purse at all and the other 2 ladies in the group had only small change purses with them carrying license and credit card. everyone one else was male.

i live in savannah and frequented that restaurant 2-3 times per month, held many business dinners at the venue but after this treatment will absolutely never step foot in the place again nor will i ever recommend to anyone else. sad thing is had we not been treated in this manner and accused of "planting a wad of hair" we would have most definitely continued to visit and spend our money at this restaurant even after finding the hair. we certainly understand that unfortunately things like this happen and no restaurant is free from accidental mishaps. shame on the owner for such an unnecessary and ridiculous display of professionalism, or lack thereof.

i thought the plate sizes were generous for tapas. the caesar salad dressing was very flavorful, frittata was filling and tasty. loved the fig and mango chutney with frittata. the services was professional and the atmosphere was well thought out and hip. also really enjoyed live band. all in all, a very enjoyable evening.

only so-so. visited jazz'd on a sunday evening. we were seated right away and had a large comfortable booth for a party of 7. decent wine choices. many options on the menu. food was okay - not the worst, but not terribly wonderful. service was slow. and dishes were not brought out well - for example, i ordered two tapa's plates and they were brouht at the same time. might try again to see if service improves.

love this basement bar. i loved this place. going down the stairs was a little intimidating but once inside, everything was so "friendly". the bar tenders are pretty good.

overhyped, loud, unsophisticated and mediocre. definitely not worth waiting 2 hrs for a table

great and varied tapas. band also good, but get a seat far away, they are loud.
the tapas are not the usual choices, but some wonderful variations.

this is a small tapas (small plate) restaurant in the downstairs of savannah. here is how to order: pick two small plates per person and share at the table. works really well with 3-4 people. athe food was good. the truffle fries were a good start but my favorite two dishes ordered were the (1l chevre (goat cheese), tomatoes and toasted bagettes and the (2) muscles (broth was amazing). we also tried the oyster special with cheese and bacon which was good but not oustanding. the blackened salmon is highly recommended, and comes with a wonderful charred crust texture and great flavor. the shrimp and grits are not the traditional creamy grits and was more tomatoe based, and not favorite. for drinks, the basil lemon martini was ok, and a little sweet (i prefer drier). the jazzed manhattan is my recommendation. they have lived music, at least on weekends which is nice. the atmosphere is a little loud after the music starts (~9am) but a recommended spot close to city market downtown.

we highly recommend the citrus basil martini. we enjoyed shrimp and grits; fire cracker shrimp egg rolls with edamame and the truffle frites.

dropped in for dinner here last night. server was very attentive and professional - tapas are quite large, he warned us. (really app size or a little bigger - perfect for a light dinner with a first course and dessert). we ordered the tapas for 2- 2 soup or salad, 4 tapas and 2 desserts with coffees for $65. all were very good, the only rock star was the shrimp & grits (yep, really) - they added a bit of sofrito to the shrimp and the locally ground gouda grits were perfectly cooked - light and tasty.

jazz’d was recommended by a lot of people when asked about the best places to have a night out in savannah. they do not take reservations unless it is for a large group, so we had to wait about 40 minutes to get a table on a saturday night. the place was very loud on account of having 3 bachelorette parties being hosted there.

i ordered a citrus basil martini and it was fantastic. to start off with, we ordered the calamari, firecracker shrimps and the hot spinach dip. even though the place was extremely busy, we got our food on time. the firecracker shrimp was amazing. the shrimps were fresh and the sweet and spicy sauce was well balanced. the hot spinach dip lived up to its reputation. it had lots of artichoke pieces smothered in hot cheese and spinach. the calamari, however, was a disappointment for me. it was soggy and the coating was flaking off. the marinara sauce was not impressive either.

we decided to order the chorizo sliders as well. even though we were not waiting for two long, our waitress, simone, checked in with us to see if we got our sliders on time. when we told her that we are still waiting on it, she apologized and went to check on it. the came back and informed us that she had forgotten to place the order and apologized profusely. she then gave us a complimentary seared tuna. this ended up being my favorite dish of the night. the tuna was fresh and the wasabi aioli and wonton base were perfect parings for it. the service was impeccable and we felt well cared for. simone was an excellent hostess and gave us some other recommendations for restaurants as well.

the noise level at the restaurant is a bit bothersome. they should also get some new, comfortable chairs. not the ideal place for a romantic dinner but the atmosphere is great for drinks and a quick bite as the food and drinks are incredible.
