cool and trendy. i am an older guy and i leave this place full of great food and feeling younger! they have a great atmosphere and the food is top shelf!

i was really excited to try iguana! i heard so many great things! my friend and i got take out, we both order fajita's it was all terrible! from the salsa to the rice and beans and fajita meat! hopefully we just caught it on a bad day but won't be spending $45 on a meal for two there again.

to me it seemed like iguana is more tex-mex than mexican. most of the places we go to for mexican is more traditional, and this was throwing us off since the flavors were not those that we are usually accustomed to. i hate to give a bad review to a place that has a flavor profile to what we are not used to. we came there expecting good traditional mexican and received tex-mex instead. we struggled with the table being so wobbly, and it only takes a shove of a napkin or two under the table for that to be stabilized. also the restroom is not labeled at all and i had to get the attention of a staff member to ask where the bathroom was, and it was behind a door right next to me. the waiter was very nice and took the time to help explain things to us and didn’t seem to have an attitude when tammy sent her food back. he understood it wasn’t her cup of tea and she quickly got her remake. because the flavors weren’t quite what we expect for mexican food we probably won’t be back, however if y

hit and miss.... the food is good one time, the next time it's not. the service is awesome one time, the next time it's not. i wish they were consistent in both. oh and it's overpriced.

friday happy hour. i am going to preface this review by stating i have spent that last 8 years in california so i recognize what i consider "mexican" food is different. that being said, i loved the salsa and that is comes in a large bowl. i typically know if i am going to like the food if i like the salsa, but in this case i was disappointed. i don’t know if they are trying not to have flavor or spice or what but i had to add the salsa to the rice, black beans and my steak tacos to get even a little flavor. my friend liked the chicken quesadilla. i liked the ambiance and the happy hour drink specials and the waitress was attentive. i will go again and try something else. i just hope it’s a different cook.

bad bad bad bad service. been here a few times but will not go back ever again. not sure what is up with this place. had such good reviews but the service is just bad. and i'm not saying that from one experience. there's been several. the last time was the last straw. went during happy hour and it was not that busy. no one ever came to the table and we tried to be reasonable but 20 minutes passed. we went to the front and said we were leaving. 3 people standing at the front and one says, that's awful. i stood there a second thinking they might get a manager or give me a coupon or something but no, nothing.

wow somethings happened. what happened to the old iguana? we ate there for lunch last thursday. i had the spinach and mushroom burrito. it was not good. the spinach leaves were nasty. also, i had the veggies as a side and i almost could not eat them-- they were not done. had a bloody mary and it was gross. i can usually drink anything with alcohol in it, but i had to send it back. i think that was the first drink i have ever sent back in my life! the bloody mary's are not the same anymore. they need the old chef back. i guess he took all the receipts. too bad, because the food was amazing when he was there. the atmosphere is still good and the service was lacking. i can live with bad service if the food is good, but it was far from it! my wife's chicken was so dry you had to drink water to swallow it. the food has been getting steadily worse for the last few months. i think our lunch last week has done it for us. until i hear of a marked change, we won't be back.

where's the beef?. the price is outrageous for the little bit of food service given. i went with a friend and the music was not mexican, and it was loud. i politely whispered to the host to please lower it and they did nothing. got a chicken chimichanga and a beef burrito, where was the meat? and then to offer only one side with the lunch? i could've sworn all hispanics knew that rice and beans is one side. i chose none because i was upset. on the plus side, the flavor was very good, and definitely not tex mex, and not being mexican, i don't even know if that was authentic mexican. considering that the owners are not mexican, well, i doubt i'll go back. i can't afford the price of that place, no matter how good the flavor was. i'm still wondering where the beef and chicken was. oh, wait, i did see some little squares of what i think was meat.

the wait staff is never overly friendly, however i will take horrible service for the awesome food served here. when you order the magnificent queso and salsa along with the superb citrus habenaro salsa you would expect to have plenty of chips to go along, the margaritas are a taste of rotgut cheap tequila similar in bite to some thing that moonshiner tickle might come up with, once was enough to ruin the taste of extra goodness, leaves me wishing you could get a limeade from sonic with some top shelf mezcal juice in it. never had anything but awesomeness from the kitchen, servers come and go and none have ever treated us any different than the main objective was to get us out in a hurry.

my fiancé & i go to taco tuesday at least once a month. the price & taste are unbeatable. service is always great. friendly greetings upon entering & exiting. fun atmosphere. great salsa!

love iguana grill. this place has a nice warm atmosphere and the food is very good. i love the fresh salsa and chips. the salsa is better than most that i have tried in the city. i am addicted to it! their enchiladas are delicious and have always come out hot. i also like their cilantro rice. the bar is nice and i have sat there during lunch on busy days and have gotten good service there as well.

very good food! my favorite: classic nachos with steak. my fiancé loved the quesadillas. great chips and salsa. excellent smokey green beans too.
