iguana mexican grill

salsa needs jalapenos, garlic, onions. i asked for corn tortillas for my tacos and they put them on the griddle to heat them up instead or steaming or frying for a few seconds (smacks forehead). the waiter didn't know the happy hour specials and looked at me dumbfounded when i asked him to find out for me. this place used to be awesome, what happened??

after an outing with my close girl friends, i just had to take my husband!  we came on a weekday for lunch, and it was very busy!  there were tons and tons of people in suits (looks like they were lawyers from the court house) and many friends meeting for lunch.  it took about 10-15 minutes until we were seated, so if you want to stop by lunch, come here early.  

the waiter who served us was very intuitive, on making sure our drinks never ran down, and extremely helpful - all while teaching another new-hire server!  as for food, we ordered their chimichanga with a side of beans, and guacamole w/ salsa and chips.  the chimichanga was easily one of the best we've tried - it was perfectly crispy on the outside (even with their special cheese sauce covering it) and was absolutely delicious.  the salsa, guacamole and chips were great as well!  great place for speedy service, food, and an exuberant atmosphere to chill and hang out in!

great brunch spot. go early to get a table. not a large place, but it's very comfortable. service was great and i would definitely recommend this place as a midtown stop.

$2 tuesday tacos night. i had not been to iguana grills taco tuesday in a very long time. but i do see that the crowds die down a little bit. i don't know if people have kind of burnt themselves out on the tacos.they still have wonderful drink specials i love the sangria swirl margarita it is so delicious. they also have a modelos especiales for only 2 dollars you can get a lime to go with it. that beer complements the grill fish tacos very well.i can say if you can around 9 o'clock you will maybe have less features of the special tacos with a feature on taco tuesday. but you can enjoy the fish chicken shredded beef shredded pork ground beef tacos at your liking.

taco tuesday never gets old. i love their $1 fish tacos & $4 sangrias. i happen to sit across from oklahoma city thunder player jeremy lamb for dinner.

gotta love $1 tacos @ iguana gril in bricktown okc on tuesday. they even have modelo especial for $2. free salsa & chips.

lunch was so good iguana go back for more!
this was my first visit to iguana grill and i was in a hurry so i had the lunch special chicken enchilada with cumin beans and roasted veggies. the complimentary chips & salsa were excellent. the salsa is mild, but it's fairly bursting with fresh tomato flavor and they give you a very generous portion. the enchilada was very good as well. they didn't go crazy with sauces and cheese--everything was just right. the atmosphere was contemporary mexican accents, but not tacky. service was friendly and efficient. i hope to go back for dinner soon.

attempted upscale environment with prices to match. lunch specials aren't too bad, $10 for 1 enchilada & 2 sides. i would describe the food as fair, at best. the salsa appears to be made fresh, and is pretty good.
in all, the food doesn't really stack up to most other mexican restaurants in the area.

pork verde burrito. good stuff. had this off the lunch menu. really good sized burrito and very good. the chef took a little creative liberty to impress us. pretty fun.

wrong food. zero service. poor waiter was running 90mph and no manager in sight to help this lad out. to bad we chose this place for graduation night with guests. won't bother to come back.

pretty good, not very big portions. had the chile rellenos which were pretty damn good. my only complaint is that the side of rice they gave us was not very much at all. the rice was extremely flavorful but there was maybe four bites of it. the grilled vegetables were bell peppers and onions, which essentially are fajita vegetables. great experience and would highly recommend this to others, just don't go if you haven't eaten all day because you probably won't be full after the meal.

disappointed. just ate early evening meal. atmosphere is very good as was the service. unfortunately the tastiest part of the meal were the chips!
my quesadillas were grilled properly, but were virtuously tasteless - chicken was not seasoned at all and resembled canned chicken. our son's tacos could be similarly described. the one word that describes our experience - disappointed.

i hate to say this but this used to be one of our most favorite places to eat. at first we were surprised at the mostly empty parking lot when we pulled in. once we sat down we were thankful that the salsa hadnt changed at all, but the menu had drastically changed, the prices were outrageous compared to the portions you get (which were very small) and the food was very bland. we are gonna give it one more chance but right now we are very disappointed!!

we looked forward to coming here for a while and it was worth every bit of the wait!! for starters, the salsa is totally fresh and the best anywhere!! the food was unique compared to any other mexican resturaunt and the drinks were incredible!!

this place used to be good, now it is mediocre. the portions are small, the food is bland, and the prices too high for what you get. the salsa was tasty, but the guacamole was awful. the beans tasted like the came out of a can. i have no desire to return.

salsa! que bueno!. i absolutely love the salsa here. it is very fresh with everything diced to perfection. not too much heat; just the way i like it. for my meal had the chimichanga lunch special. the chimichanga was nice and hot, the chicken inside was seasoned well. the sour cream sauce they serve on top was different from the queso i get other places. it was pleasantly good. i also had their green rice as my side. also something different and i enjoyed every bit of it. for my first visit here, i was impressed with my meal and definitely will be back.

let me preface by saying, despite the terrible service, the soul reason i'd return to this super hip spot is for their salsa. great salsa. incredibly fresh, chunky-tomato wonderfulness. that being said, servers, you're not that cool. i promise. tattoos or not. the servers i've had should really try to dial back the pretentiousness. i know the mexican restaurant you work as a waiter at is next door to the womb room, but you still work at a mexican restaurant nonetheless. for tips. remember? asshole-ness seems to be a server prerequisite at this place. for that reason i'll dodge this place (and their delicious salsa) for as long as i can. i'll make that sacrifice, just on principle. let me add that these bad experiences with the service was a consistent happening, finally leading me to write this review.
