repeat customer. i've visitediguanagrill numerous times and intend to continue to do so. the food is good and consistent. they have many options for me as a vegetarian and are always accommodating when i ask for a little menu item tweaking.

coral snake margaritas!!. a friend and i wandered in after sushi at their neighbor's, pachinko parlor. we had wanted to check outiguanasince our recent move to okc, and were not left disappointed. we had a great time at the bar, the bartender was very engaging with our questions about different bottles of tequila and had a lot of information about tequila for us. we tried the coral snake margarita, and like their salsa it was incredible. habenero and apricot, it was the perfect marriage of spicy and sweet. i could have one any time. soon, i'll get to try their food, but for now i'm satisfied with the bar.

"not as good as it used to be". my husband and i went toiguanashortly after it opened and loved it. being texan transplants we're always looking for good mexican food. we thoughtiguanawas the place. sadly, the last time we went it was a big disappointment--especially for the price. the wait was long--which is normal--but the servers were overbooked and the kitchen way behind. then, after waiting forever, our food was subpar. bummer.

love to come toiguanaon tuesdays for 1.50 tacos, 2$ tecate, and pitchers sangria/margarita swirls (cheaper to share it pays for itself and waiters don't mind dividing...they even divide ticket with shared queso!!!) salsa is always fresh and not too onion-ey or garlic-ey....perfect for fun with coworkers and friends. family friendly and it doesn't get too wild, if u are with kids i suggest sitting in restaurant area where it's more open. in the summer it's a beautiful place to sit on patio and bring ur puppy too..fun place to watch games & has a beautiful bar. not bad for 1.50 mini tacos.

my favorite is the beef and fish. i love all the different vegetables - not for the meat and cheese guy! seek adventure -adventure ! the colors are beautiful 😍 makes the food more enjoyable by their vivid selection of veggies accompanied with their tacos.

went here for lunch - big mistake - the lot was full and there were about twenty to thirty folks in line waiting their turn to get in ... so i went elsewhere.

came back for dinner at 2100 ... hillbilly's next door was doing live entertainment ... almost ended up there but i wanted mexican and soiguanawon.

surprise no line and the place was almost empty - yes!

salsa was chunky with tomatoes - pretty much mostly tomatoes. nice flavor but little spice. they got the salt right so it was satisfyingly tasty.

ordered the guacamole fresco appetizer. it was pretty good and a bit spicy warm - nice.

ordered the dueling rellenos. deep fried anaheim peppers stuffed with different fillings. really nice presentation with a guacamole drizzle and chipolte sauce drizzle. extremely tasty. it came with two sides and i ordered a third.

the fire grilled vegetables turned out to be pretty much grilled peppers of every sort, color, and flavor along with some onions. really, really good. the varying flavors and heat levels of the individual peppers was interesting.

the citrus white beans lacked something - salt in particular. it came out amazingly bland and tasteless. adding a bit of salt brought out the pleasing cilantro that the chef had incorporated. a touch of black pepper increased the depth of flavor. perhaps someone failed to check the seasoning this evening? it happens.

the roasted red pepper rice was just ok, not exactly noteworthy. if anything it was just a touch greasy like spanish rice can sometimes be. it had plenty of salt btw.

the star of the meal - the grilled peppers (...er 'vegetables'). running a pretty close second were the rellenos.

$2 tuesday tacos night. i had not been toiguanagrills taco tuesday in a very long time. but i do see that the crowds die down a little bit. i don't know if people have kind of burnt themselves out on the tacos.they still have wonderful drink specials i love the sangria swirl margarita it is so delicious. they also have a modelos especiales for only 2 dollars you can get a lime to go with it. that beer complements the grill fish tacos very well.i can say if you can around 9 o'clock you will maybe have less features of the special tacos with a feature on taco tuesday. but you can enjoy the fish chicken shredded beef shredded pork ground beef tacos at your liking.

lunch was so goodiguanago back for more!
this was my first visit toiguanagrill and i was in a hurry so i had the lunch special chicken enchilada with cumin beans and roasted veggies. the complimentary chips & salsa were excellent. the salsa is mild, but it's fairly bursting with fresh tomato flavor and they give you a very generous portion. the enchilada was very good as well. they didn't go crazy with sauces and cheese--everything was just right. the atmosphere was contemporary mexican accents, but not tacky. service was friendly and efficient. i hope to go back for dinner soon.

why i looooveiguanamexican grill. katie makk. that is the single most reason i loveiguanaand continue to eat here after three years. she is the best bartender/ bar manager! she has vast knowledge of product, as she has had five years experience at iguana. she is very very polite, friendly, but not overly friendly, professional, helpful, thoughtful, responsible, and she is also very easy to talk to and feel comfortable with. if you ever go to iguana, i recommend eating/drinking when katie is working! she knows how to take care of a customer! she is the best!!!

best salsa in town. if you are looking specifically for tex-mex, this isn't the place for you. however, if you are looking for great food, i recommend this place. the salsa is to die for. i love the selection of drinks and the specials. tuesdays can be a little too much as they are so busy, but the tacos are always very good. i love trying new foods andiguanagives me that opportunity. my favorite menu item is the chile relleno. some places just do not do a good job with the breading on their rellenos, but iguana's is excellent.

wanted to like, two strikes. i like the midtown revival andiguanais a place i want to like, but the service is too off-putting. last two times i've been, have been uncomfortable and i left with a bad taste in my mouth.

once, with my young son, the table prep kid came over and practically threw the silverware set ups at us and just looked really hostile - not a good start. i wondered what the heck did we do, or do i remind this kid of someone he hates?

the other time, i sat in the bar area with my baby boomer parents and had no choice (other than to leave) but to overhear some off duty employees acting like donkeys and cursing harshly at the bar. my mom, and other ladies don't want to hear this, you ridiculous jackasses.

this place needs some leadership, some class and some help hiring people. when i dine out, i tend to value the service over the food in some cases. in these cases, the food didn't matter because the experience had already been ruined. i won't make plans to return.

iguana feels like a totally different restaurant lately. it used to be a really great local place to get awesome food that was made with high quality ingredients. everything has changed- prices are higher, quality is way, way lower. like taco bueno low.

the most disappointing thing is thatiguanawas the spark that ignited midtown okc. this was the restaurant that drew a lot of people to the area and started 9th st.

i won't ever come back to iguana- the food isn't worth eating, especially at the prices they charge. if you are in the mood for mexican in midtown, go to 1492. hate to say it, butiguanajust isn't the same

to me it seemed likeiguanais more tex-mex than mexican. most of the places we go to for mexican is more traditional, and this was throwing us off since the flavors were not those that we are usually accustomed to. i hate to give a bad review to a place that has a flavor profile to what we are not used to. we came there expecting good traditional mexican and received tex-mex instead. we struggled with the table being so wobbly, and it only takes a shove of a napkin or two under the table for that to be stabilized. also the restroom is not labeled at all and i had to get the attention of a staff member to ask where the bathroom was, and it was behind a door right next to me. the waiter was very nice and took the time to help explain things to us and didn’t seem to have an attitude when tammy sent her food back. he understood it wasn’t her cup of tea and she quickly got her remake. because the flavors weren’t quite what we expect for mexican food we probably won’t be back, however if y

loveiguanagrill. this place has a nice warm atmosphere and the food is very good. i love the fresh salsa and chips. the salsa is better than most that i have tried in the city. i am addicted to it! their enchiladas are delicious and have always come out hot. i also like their cilantro rice. the bar is nice and i have sat there during lunch on busy days and have gotten good service there as well.

went to eat at theiguanatonight with my family. my daughter got the cheese tamales for her meal and they seemed like they were made a week ago they were so dry. i had the chicken fajitas with grilled vegetables. at theiguanagrill they don't serve fajitas in a cast iron skillet. they serve the fajitas on a plate with no onions or green peppers.i guess they think that this is a better way to serve them. the chicken was absolutely the driest chicken i have ever ate in my entire life! they also serve the tortillas in dinner napkins which does not keep them moist or warm.i will never ever eat at this restaurant again. my wife said the tea was good though. you make the choice yourself as to try this restaurant or not.
