over hyped!
taste: pathetic
cost: too much  (prices have increased and not same as the menu shown here)
quality: you might as well puke if you had a look in the kitchen.
quantity: very filling
items tried: mutton palav, chicken palav, boti curry, chicken fry.

writing this review after trying their food twice. definitely can miss this. rrr serves better food at almost the same cost with better taste and quality.

during the visit to mysore, this was one place i wanted to tick off my bucket list, with the help of my wife (even though she is pure veg), she ensured that i get to the place.
i took half mutton pulav and kaima. taste is good, almost similar to shivaji military hotel in bangalore. though the texture looks diff, both are pulav and people call them biriyani.

worth the money.

if you are non vegetarian, this is one place you should visit in mysore.

the quantity . quality of rice, quality of mutton/ chicken. everything else also is so great. i like the way they serve of the leaf plate. the unique taste of the pulav we get here is remembered overseas too. hahahahahaha. oldest hotel still existing in mysore maybe

the famous authentic mysore style mutton palav.
i have had heard about this very famous hanumanthu mutton palav, which made me to travel all the way from chikmagalur to mysore.

they are having two outlets in mandi mohalla itself,i was confused which one is the original. the one i entered first was already getting closed coz the palav got over there.
they said we have another outlet in the next cross.
it was looked after by their cousins they said.

we went their and ordered two mutton palav and mutton kurma.

the hotel walls were full of photo frames hanging.
the photos were of vip's who visited the hotel.
it also included the famous cricket player brett lee
some of my freinds say that they don't like the taste of hanumanthu palav.
coz they compare the taste with the normal biryaniii.
i don't think it should be. because there are some dishes which should be eaten the way they are.

i came to know about this place a couple months go when i came to mysore. the mutton pulao that is served here is quite famous and have been even featured on multiple food channels and a couple of forums and social media. so, i had my own expectations for this place.
one fine day, i with some of my friends visited the place for some mutton pulao, quite excited all of us!
well, it sucked, all of it. they charge 180 for full portion of it, and half serving comes for 150.
the rice had a weird sour taste to it and tasted nothing like any other pulao i have ever had, also, they served only 2 small pieces of mutton for it’s price of 180.

verdict : not recommended at all.

p.s. - there are 2 shops at the location situated roughly 150mts apart. they are both owned by the same people. just fyi.

peace. ✌🏻
