this place was strongly recommended by my foodie colleagues and i am glad i did not regret.one of the few places that serve spicy korean food. loved the mandus (korean version of momo) and their seafood broth (my beef eating colleagues are crazy about their beef stew). the noodles are very spicy and will light your tongue on fire while you crave for more. the condiments they offer is very unique (you may skip the stinky kimchee though) and is not served anywhere else in the city. this is as authentic as you can wonder. the ambiance is average- clean, clutter free and hygienic. dont expect it to be like one of those typical fancy cafes.visitit for the 'not so mundane' menu and only if you are a sucker for trying new cuisines. definitely on my must try list

we dined at hae kum gang saturday night for dinner. the ambience is slightly over done and seems a bit out of place in bangalore but it definitely adds to the korean theme.
we ordered bibimbap, the ice cold soba noodles and avocado california roll. every table is provided with their 6 complimentary side dishes. the food was truly amazing. the food seemed very authentic and each dish was flavourful. despite being vegetarian we really enjoyed ever bit of the meal. hope tovisitagain soon.

being a korean food lover i was searching for a place in bangalore and i found this place. ..small cozy place with very friendly staff ..bibimbap is a must try. .kimchi soup. ..generous quantity was so full could not try much dishes but will definitelyvisitthis place on my next visit

i was a new customer for hae kum gang and decided tovisitthem with a hungering for korean food based on how highly rated they were. i ordered four dishes- the kanpunggi, jeyuk bossam, pork donburi and the chicken hamul jjambong. the kanpunggi and pork donburi were amazing- well-flavoured hearty. the hamul jjambong noodles were a wonderful surprise and i couldn't get enough of them. the portions are also fairly big and impressive. the ambience is really cute, unique and a welcome departure from the usual trend in bengaluru. service is a fair bit slow so be sure tovisitonly if you have a slow day with time to spend and enjoy the place! on the whole hae kum gang is definitely worth visiting at least once to get your fill on kpop posters and their favorite foods!

hae kum gang. one of finest korean restaurant with yummy korean food. as you enter you see kpop idols posters around giving a great feel for kpop fans out, well furnished royal decor with korean culture inside with some korean dolls dressed in hanbok the traditional korean dress. lite korean music playing along kpop music.
well maintained staff nd a hygienic place.good ambience and services.
food was amazing, the banchan side dishes was wow with kimchi adding flavours. kimbap is a must try, kanpunggi-sweet n spicy sauced fried chicken was one of my favourite ,chicken sizzler chicken chulpan was great. eating in chopsticks felt good. totally enjoyed the food.
love tovisitagain nd enjoy korean food😋😋

waited a long time to go here and i was absolutely delighted with the place. it's a really unique and pleasing ambience with good music and amazing staff.
the food was delicious and i couldn't have asked for anything more from a restaurant. the food is decently priced. even if you are not familiar with the korean cuisine, i would definitely suggest you give it a try. if you expect it to be really spicy, the food might not be for you. but it's surely worth it.
will surely love tovisitagain.

was my firstvisithere and i loved it. the food was great. we ordered one pork and one vegetarian kimbap. both were delicious. a meal on its own, quite filling. the ambience is good too. overall great experience!

i have been interested to try the korean cuisine here. unfortunately the friend with whom i visited the place was wary of korean food and wanted to try the california roll variations.

by way of decor, the focus was not on it, it is pretty plain and simplistic. though the chairs looked a little ostentatious.

the korean music in the background was unobtrusive. the waiters kept disappearing for some reason. barely three tables including ours was occupied since it was a weekday night.

the items which were brought in  as accompaniments were very interesting -  the kimchi was particularly good, so was the sprouts.

the california roll variations of cheesy salmon roll and the bulgogi roll were awesome. the portion size is one of the best i have seen in bangalore.

this place is definitely on my list tovisitagain to have the korean dishes.

the ambiance of the place is really nice and different. i had visited this place in hope good red meat. they well lived up to my expectations but i feel the price was slightly high. overall it's a good place and a mustvisitfor those who want to try korean style.

a well set korean restaurant with nice ambience.this was my first experience with korean styled food and it was amazing.

we ordered kim bam chicken & crab (korean sushi), shrimp fitters (they were big), kanpunggi (chicken based sweet & spicy dish & seafood ra myun and everything was just amazing. the quality, quantity & taste was great.

the ambience of the place was really nice & cozy, it felt a bit like korean experience from inside. the staff were really helpful & they even gave us extra empty bowls for ra myun.

will definitelyvisitagain.

it was my 2ndvisitto this estaurant. it was the taste of food which made me go there again.
the taste of food was as expected, very good. but the service was horrible, the worst service i've ever seen at any restaurant.
the starter took almost 30 mins to reach the table and the main course could never even make it to the table even after waiting for another 45 mins & the icing on the cake was the response of the staff or rather the lack of it. it looked like the restaurant staff was wearing the best noise cancellation earphones that he just ignored my grievances and swiped the card of the bill of whatever we ordered.

i love to enjoy different cuisines and planned tovisitthis place going by the ratings but it was disappointing. i have tasted japanese, korean etc. i have little sense of how korean good taste. this place is just another name. if you dine here you will spend but not enjoy the food. so if ur looking for tasty korean food this is not the place.

after a lot of recommendation i decided tovisitthis place and especially for some delicious sushi.
i tried the salmon california rolls which was filling and very tasty, the crispy fried chicken was a little dry and blend, the ram yung tasted very basic or maybe i just had higher expectations. wine cooler was a good pick but the best item was the california rolls no doubt.
would love tovisitagain and try some more dishes in future for sure.
