never had food so bad that it was pretty much inedible. they ruined bibimbap, which is probably the easiest korean dish out there, so much that i couldn't manage to finish even half of the bowl. it just tasted horrible. not sure how thisplaceis rated up so high, i've been to many korean diners but this is not it.

now it’s a duplicate korean restaurant. totally disappointed and disgusted with the food. visited thisplaceafter years, food was horrible. polite service but very delayed. after waiting for a long time they served us food that was below standard. first taste of kimchi had me questioning this place. should have cancelled rest of my orders right away. and whole dining experience spoilt with spoilt stale food. earlier it was an authentic korean restaurant almost fine dining but now after tasting food here i feel instant noodles tastes better than what was served here, that too served in plastic bowls and plates now. even after informing them the food was not good, they were least concerned and didn’t even acknowledge instead just made sure the bill was paid. they didn’t even give a glass of water. not worth any stars zero!!

we used to love this place. everything about it. now it’s a shabby, dirtyplacewhere the staff just doesn’t care. everything we ordered was bad. looked like they used maggi or some packaged noodles. ridiculous.

hae kum gang well lived to it's expectations with food. we ordered bibimpap and a mushroom veggie with pork with it's sides. it was the most fulfilling and amazing dish i have ever had in my life. not only does the taste of the food impress you, but also the look. i couldn't control my happiness when i saw the meal, and it was pure heaven to sit there and go though that wonderful meal.
also, they gave us complementary watermelon with orange juice, which was amazing. really yummy!
plus, if you like your tiny space to sit and be at, a few seats are placed as such too. the restaurant is on the 2nd floor, and you don't need to be above or atleast 21(it was anotherplacewhere we ended up almost going in to in the ground floor *facepalm*)
special thanks to the chef who made it all possible.
hope this helps.

thisplacewas strongly recommended by my foodie colleagues and i am glad i did not regret.one of the few places that serve spicy korean food. loved the mandus (korean version of momo) and their seafood broth (my beef eating colleagues are crazy about their beef stew). the noodles are very spicy and will light your tongue on fire while you crave for more. the condiments they offer is very unique (you may skip the stinky kimchee though) and is not served anywhere else in the city. this is as authentic as you can wonder. the ambiance is average- clean, clutter free and hygienic. dont expect it to be like one of those typical fancy cafes. visit it for the 'not so mundane' menu and only if you are a sucker for trying new cuisines. definitely on my must try list

hae kum gang is one of those rare places in the city serving authentic korean cuisine. have been here twice and have had a lovely experience both the times. theplaceis infact a non vegetarian's paradise with so many varieties to choose from. and to top it all their portions are huuge and each dish comes with hell lotta accompaniments. i actually love each and every item that i've tried :

- kimbap
- dolsot bibimbap
- jeyuk (pork) chulpan
- kimchi seafood california roll
- mandu (momos)

let me tell you that they have the best california rolls in the city. for the ones who havent explored sushis before i suggest start with their california rolls. it'l set your base for the japanese ones. the flavour of the rice is a bit different from the japanese counterpart & even the size is a bit bigger. the kimchi seafood one that we tried were amazzzing. it had the delectable combination of salmon, tuna, squid & crab. would highly recommend this one. chulpans are the korean version of sizzlers and comes with 6-7 condiments.the stir fried pork along with their inhouse kimchi and sweetened baby potatoes is toothsome. their kimchi tastes different from what we get at the chinese restaurants. it might feel a little pungent in the first bite but works eventually. the bibimbaps are the korean version of rice bowl with meat and lotsa veggies. its actually lighter on the tummy. even their momos (mandu) taste heavenly. one thing which i didn't like was the haemul pajeon. it's a seafood pancake which looks like our good old mughlai paratha but tastes slightly different. the overall dish somehow didn't work for me.
they don't have alcohol but a hot cup of flavourful jasmine tea/ginseng tea is a great option for keeping company. overall, their quality of food is unparalleled. would love to try their donburis & ra myen on my next visit.

sevice gets a little slow if it's crowded. price wise it's a great value for money for the portions they offer. a hearty meal for two would come within 1500/-

great job team hae kum gang.

bon appetit 🍽️

we dined at hae kum gang saturday night for dinner. the ambience is slightly over done and seems a bit out ofplacein bangalore but it definitely adds to the korean theme.
we ordered bibimbap, the ice cold soba noodles and avocado california roll. every table is provided with their 6 complimentary side dishes. the food was truly amazing. the food seemed very authentic and each dish was flavourful. despite being vegetarian we really enjoyed ever bit of the meal. hope to visit again soon.

it is a nice and cosy place. though it does talk about being an authentic korean restaurant, the interiors are no different than any normal indian restaurant. we ordered kim bap and soondubu. both were pretty good and the side dishes were great too. but the quantity of the side dishes was far too less, added to that the rice with soondubu was less too. hungry, we ended up ordering the rameyeon and mandu combo. however, the rameyeon tasted like maggie noodles and the mandu was the usual momos we could get at a street vendor. though i liked theplacei left a little disappointed.

i’m someone who researches the restaurant and reads every single review before even going there. so i thought 4.6 on zomato, what could possibly go wrong? clearly, i was mistaken. after pressuring my friend to come here instead of our usual hang out spots near church street, it was the biggest letdown. theplacewas cozy and had good ambience. the service was pretty quick. the prices are high but the quantity was good enough. but here comes the bad part. the food was absolutely disgusting. i ordered the kim bap and some noodles. i struggled to eat three spoons. my friend managed four spoons. it was that bad. there was no taste. the food wasn’t warm. it was bland and soggy. i hate writing bad reviews but this is the first restaurant in bangalore that has disappointed me on so many levels. i still cannot believe i set aside a day just to go here and eat expensive food that tasted worse than dried leaves.

this cosyplaceis a real gem! i had been meaning to have korean food for ages and finally found a niceplacethat makes good korean food at a reasonable price... and great sushi as well... such a rare find! the chicken bibimbap and dragon prawn sushi were yummy and the portion size was really good as well. the presentation was also a treat to the eyes :) the service however could be improved but the delicious food makes up for it!

was on a trip to bangalore - decided to come here because of exceptionally high rating of 4.4 but theplacedid not stack up. service was good - waiters were helpful in selecting dishes. menu was small and not confusing. small servings of kimchi and tofu (particularly) are very good. for the main course, i ordered a noodles dish (seafood originally, but i asked them to make it with only shrimp and chicken), and a crispy salmon roll. unfortunately, both these did not turn out to be what deserves even a 4 rating. noodles were good but chicken pieces/strips in it were hard - probably low quality or reused from the previous day (cannot ascertain but that's how it tasted). sushi roll was alright. one has got to taste sushi in manhattan before one starts raving about this sushi. unfortunately, for me, this sushi got compared to what i had the previous night at itc gardenia's japanese restaurant. sorry did not stack up enough for me. photos attached.
