greg norman australian grill

while on vaca my boyfriend and i were looking for anicesteakhouse. we made a great choice with greg normans! bread was yummy and warm, which is always a good sign. appetizer: we always get crab cakes when we go out. instead we decided on artichokes & parm and they were really yummy. we both got filets medium rare,nicecut of meat. we both chose the bacon bourbon glaze which was sweet and delicious with the filet!! sides we chose were sautéed vegs, garlic mash & risotto were just okay nothing special. service was great, atmosphere was great. we are inside but they also have outside seating with water view. we were definitely satisfied customers.

the reason to try greg norman’s australian grill is for the country club atmosphere.  upon entering the restaurants, the wood fixtures, leather chairs & dark colors assure your senses that you are now in an exclusive country club. 

we had dinner on the deck, which overlooks the inter-costal and a marina.  it was well shaded from the sun & a comfortable area to have dinner.  also, it was entertaining to watch the different watercraft cruise by.   

our meals were expertly prepared & presented, enhancing that feel of an eloquent country club. the wait staff was calm and very attentive on meeting our needs.  the mojitos were amazing with very fresh minting leaves.  depending on your budget, the cost is on the upper side.  

the experience at greg norman’s australian grill feeds not only your tummy, but feeds your ego.  sometimes it isniceto indulge yourself and feel a little bit wealthier.

will never come here again.niceresturant inside, but food is extremely overpriced for the quality and taste. there were 13 of of us abd everyone tried something different. everyone of us left food on our plates. no one was satisfied. no sweet tea in a southern resturant. really? never again.

pricey but worth it. good choice for anicedinner out. two of us were looking forward to the lamb - but it is no longer on the menu. the capresse salad was big enough to share and it was fresh and delicious. the side dish of mushrooms was delicious. the entrees were all good - sirloin, rib eye, and prime rib and filet were all great.
a little pricey - but worth it for anicenight out. also overlooks a small marina -niceambiance.

never again. we had a party of 6 -- a "thank you" dinner for the couple who set up our myrtle beach vacation. our condo had given us a coupon -- buy 1 dinner and get 1 half price -- could be used on 4 dinners. and we told the waiter of the coupon when we sat down. he ripped it from my brother's hand and stormed away. the rest of the wait staff was veryniceand very good...but the waiter, another story. my brother ordered a steak, which was tough. he sent it back and it came out rare (he ordered it medium well), waiter took it back and it came out again (waiter had a helper bring it out)...still not right, but my brother ate a little of it. we figured a steak house would know how to cook steak....guess we were wrong. all this..and the waiter added a 20% tip to our bill, when their policy is an automatic 20% for 8 or more. last time i go near that place.

very good food,niceatmosphere, makes the south look aliitle better

good food, odd atmosphere. short and sweet: i ordered the brisbane filet, and it was very good. i loved the seasoning and the steak was cooked just as i asked. however, the waiter did not ask me if i wanted any sides, and i did not know i had to specifically order them. so my steak arrivedniceand lonely with no sides. odd.

the seats were very comfortable and the location is great - right on the inter-coastal waterway. however, the music being played was 90's-2000's top 40 music. my wife and i found this pretty odd. usually you can't find coldplay and rod stewart playing in the background of anicesteakhouse.

all in all, good experience and good food!
