greg norman australian grill

while on vaca my boyfriend and i were looking for a nice steakhouse. we made a great choice with greg normans! bread was yummy and warm, which is always agoodsign. appetizer: we always get crab cakes when we go out. instead we decided on artichokes & parm and they were really yummy. we both got filets medium rare, nice cut of meat. we both chose the bacon bourbon glaze which was sweet and delicious with the filet!! sides we chose were sautéed vegs, garlic mash & risotto were just okay nothing special. service was great, atmosphere was great. we are inside but they also have outside seating with water view. we were definitely satisfied customers.

had to leave. service was so slow... waited more than 30 minutes for entree after salad. it never arrived. we could not find server or manager to ask if there was a problem. finally went to front and told manager we were leaving . not sure what the problem was , but not agoodexperience.

this place is awful. the young hostess with the blonde hair was very rude. the steak was dry. the risotto had no flavor. the brussel sprouts were drenched in vinegar. we skipped dessert because we were scared to try it, everything else was so gross. go to agoodlocal steak house and spend the money there. this is a total tourist trap.

atmosphere and service was very good. food wasgoodbut not great. for this price, we expected much better flavors as food was a little bland. my son and i had steak which was a little dry. we also had seafood and pasta dishes which were very good. overall it was agoodplace but not the best. if your looking for a great place, this is not it.

wife and i decided to make this one of our dinners out while on vacation. she knows i'm a fan of greg norman, so it was really a no brainer. i'm pleased to say this was a great dining experience. restaurant ambiance was sophisticated, but not snobbish. felt completely comfortable in golf shorts and polo (no surprise there). we had reservations at 6:30 on a thursday and we're seated promptly at a comfy table with cushy seats big enough for four. we asked for a smaller table that would seat us closer to the windows overlooking the water. they obliged. our waitress, lynn, took our drink order and gave is time to go over the menu, which was very impressive. great variety of pallet options from surf to turf. meantime, the restaurant started to get busy and we found ourselves in a high traffic area. the restaurant manager stopped over and asked if it would be okay for him to make our dining experience more enjoyable by moving us a couple tables over to avoid the high traffic area. seriously? we had not even mentioned to each other yet that it might be an awkward spot. great start to the night. we received our drinks and ordered. i ordered the fillet special and my wife ordered the seared ahi tuna, both rare to medium rare. bread came next, which was piping hot and delicious, and there was plenty of time forgoodconversation. we waited a bit longer it seemed than we are used to at fine dining restaurants, but they were busy and we were in no hurry. our food arrived and looked as appetizing as it sounded on the menu. tuna and fillet we're exactly as we ordered and lynn stopped back the right amount of times to check on us...you know, she didn't do the one time drive by to check it off her list, but she didn't make so many stops you got creeped out and it becomes the topic of your conversation. both main course dishes tasted asgoodas they looked and the accompaniments elevated the flavors to new levels. the net result was a great experience. the entire staff was courteous, the food was excellent and the view was inspiring. a++ and i'll definitely be back!

pricey but worth it.goodchoice for a nice dinner out. two of us were looking forward to the lamb - but it is no longer on the menu. the capresse salad was big enough to share and it was fresh and delicious. the side dish of mushrooms was delicious. the entrees were allgood- sirloin, rib eye, and prime rib and filet were all great.
a little pricey - but worth it for a nice night out. also overlooks a small marina - nice ambiance.

dark restaurant.goodfriendly service but food was average at best. one in our party had a steak which was terrible. tough steak.

good food, odd atmosphere. short and sweet: i ordered the brisbane filet, and it was very good. i loved the seasoning and the steak was cooked just as i asked. however, the waiter did not ask me if i wanted any sides, and i did not know i had to specifically order them. so my steak arrived nice and lonely with no sides. odd.

the seats were very comfortable and the location is great - right on the inter-coastal waterway. however, the music being played was 90's-2000's top 40 music. my wife and i found this pretty odd. usually you can't find coldplay and rod stewart playing in the background of a nice steakhouse.

the ahi tuna was sushi grade and cooked very well, or rare in this case. overall the food wasgoodbut the service left a little to be desired. the wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive but they seemed somewhat understaffed. overall agoodchoice.
