this place is consistently good, the service is always on point and super friendly. i think it's the best place on crown st to get coffee and it's a nice to sit on the outdoor tables and people watch.

my sister and i were delighted by our coffee and sweets here the other weekend. the coffee is excellent, and our choices of white chocolate/pear muffin and banana bread with dulce de leche certainly satisfied our sweet tooths. the staff were helpful, but a little unfriendly (probably the saturday morning rush!) we will definitely be back to try the savoury food soon.

lovely cafe on crown street that has a very warm neighbourly vibe and is filled with locals. the menu is fresh with great presentation. street parking is very easy in this area. you can sit inside or outdoors. i highly recommend the fouratefive salad and the french toast.

this place had been on my list to eat for over 3 years, and finally decided to come here for a long overdue catchy up!. 2xbaked eggs and 2xcapps. baked eggs: almonds, feta, moroccan tomato sauce, toast-$18. this yolk was good (the other a bit too cooked). i heard good things about the baked eggs here so was keen to try it, and my first and last baked eggs for winter. the first bite was good, but after the second, i knew it was going to get even more salty. i think the feta was a nice addition to add some creaminess, luckily they did hold back since it would've gotten even more salty. loved the almonds for a bit of crunch. one of the eggs were cooked well, and both eggs looked like it covered the whole dish, but i thought there was a bit too much tomato in proportion with the egg. there was a good amount of spice in the tomatoes, just too much salt, not enough acidity or something to break through all the salt. the bread was toasted nicely, but not enough bread to help balance out the sauce as well.

four ate five is a very popular little cafe in surry hills, very busy, trendy and healthy. this is my current number one breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. four ate five is my favourite for multiple reasons; first of all they make great coffee. second of all, they make amazing smoothies and juices and they also sell kambucha. the food is absolutely delicious! roasted toamt and avo dish and also baked eggs are an absolite must try! highly recommend.  full review on my blog

not sure as to why this cafe is so talked about and loved - the food is generally expensive, basic and meanly proportioned. the coffee is good and the food is passable, however i'd skip this one and save your dollars.

great food and drinks. would come back again. ok customer service. good vibes. minimalistic cafe.

this cafe is a definitely a high contender in comparison to the other cafes in surry hills. it's hipster, modern, cool, and leaves you wanting more.

i get my coffee from these guys early in the morning most days and they are all so lovely and welcoming and each make an effort to remember my order, which says more than you think. inspired by the specials on the board, we were dying to try the food, and, once we made an effort to dine in, were not disappointed. overall, very flavoursome and friendly.

at the recommendation of my cousin, we tried this place out for a coffee and a bite to eat. a busy little inner city sydney cafe. bustling with locals and regulars.
the service is pretty good here.
the food and coffee quite decent too. some nice food choices.
if this is in your neighbourhood them go check it out. even though its over 1000kms out of my neighbourhood it was still worth the visit.

the staff we're so kind to let us in on a rainy sunday to escape the rain even when they were just about to close up. we ordered three of the sandwiches they have, and wow do they deliver. such interesting combos of flavours and so perfectly portioned.
would very much like to come back 🙌🏼

had been eyeing this brunch spot for quite some time, but haven't had to chance to sit down and try it out due to the sheer popularity of this place. it is always brimming with people inside the cafe, as well as full house in the outdoor seating area.

finally had a chance to try it out one day passing through surry hills and me wanting to have a lighter option, i went for the smoked salmon bagel with avocado, ricotta, lemon and capers. bagel was toasted a little too much because it was a nightmare to cut through, felt like i was amputating a tree log.
the handcut rosemary topped chips were crunchy on the outside, whilst still hearty and soft on the inside. delightful to eat with a bit of tomato sauce on the side.

it was the best tasting bowl of salad i ever had so far. i love every ingredients on the plate, from the kale to the brown rice to the purple cabbage, everything was packed with flavours.

saw people ordering the chips and i will definitely be back soon to try them : )

good job guys!

my only disappointment was that i found this place on my last day in sydney. went on a melburnian recommendation and it was sensational. very generous burger sizes packed with flavour. the sweet potato crisps are fantastic but too many makes you feel regretful. the cookies are a good take home treat too.
