worth the wait!. head there early or eat there late and avoid peak times. otherwise be prepared to wait. the food is well-thought out with small details such as rosemary in the chips or bircher with stewed and fresh fruit. the ingredients are fresh and seasonal. the coffee is sublime and the atmosphere is casual and laid-back surry hills. you get all of this for less than $15 a main for brekky and lunch. the attraction is reasonable prices forgreatfood. i might add that the attraction in the window is a zumbo's delicious brownies and pastries too!

great coffee,greatfood andgreatservice!
the benedict was 10/10 for us (although one of my friends found it a bit acidic). the shakshuka flavour was 👌 but was vegetarian and didn’t have optional chorizo selection on the side even.... which is a bit strange. bircher muesli was fresh and tasty too.
only downside is the price for the portion.... quite expensive for what you get to be honest, both for food and for coffee 🤔
but tasty enough that i’d go back again ✌️

probably the best cafe in surry hills!greatbuzzing location on crown st. i’ve been here numerous times & love it each visit.
first time we came there was a lengthy table wait on a saturday brunch, but it was worth it. my friend got the weekend special dish & i got the lamb baked eggs with mint yoghurt, which was such a unique and amazing dish! i overheard the waiters chatting about how it’s exactly what to eat if you’re in a food coma which is so accurate lol
the servings are generous, flavours are complex & it’s just overall hearty filling super tasty real food. the coffee is also excellent, and was served super quickly. very smooth and strong.
i usually stop by before going to the library from a cappuccino here because it’s so great.
it has the quintessential surry hills vibe; very aesthetic, trendy, minimalistic, & full of interesting quirky folks.
one of the occasions i went though, there was an extremely rude & snarky blonde male waiter who had some serious passive aggressive issues & clearly thought he was in some kind of reality show. i haven’t seen him since though so hopefully he’s been let go. made the experience unpleasant

overall awesome place & amazing value for money

wow, this place gets busy on a sunday morning but it is well worth waiting for! inside or out? get amongst it with the enthusiastic diners inside even though it is 38 degrees and probably hotter in the kitchen. service is good considering how busy they are!greatcoffees to start. fight the power superfood smoothie with banana, cacao, soy milk, toasted almonds, dates and cardamon is thick and delicious too. chose the breakfast bowl and the mexican! (see photos) both amazing choices and enough sustenance to see you through to late afternoon! highly recommend!

one of the first restaurants i visited in surry hills . lovely suburb ! lovely restaurant! lovely service ! i liked the seating arrangement as well , most tables are joined together and gives you a feeling of one big group!😊
we had a sandwich , the toast was a bit too hard but the filling was dish ! also had the moroccan style eggs , they were the best i've ever had . delicious with a good hit of spice . had the chai latte as well , but it had too much cinnamon.

i will return !greatexperience !

decided to stop here on a whim and glad we did. this little cafe has a very solid selection of food and drink, all reasonably priced and generous in size. i went for the pulled pork sandwich at $13 and thought it was probably the best i've ever had. we also ordered the hand cut chips that were very tasty. service was friendly and the food came out promptly.
four are five was agreatchance visit. we'll definitely be back again.

came at 11:30 and was lucky enough to grab an outdoor seat where it wasn't cramped and had a breeze after a 5-10 minute wait. the wagyu meatballs, 3 cheese melt and rocket sandwich was filling however hard to eat by hand. the bread at the bottom was soggy due to the the sauces however the bread on top was crispy and had melted cheese on it and drizzled in olive oil. the sandwich altogether wasn'tgreatbut was very filling. personally didn't like the rocket in the sandwich or the olive oil.
