for what you pay this place is great. it has something for everyone. good selection of salads and hot meals and the dessert and drinks section is an added bonus . definitely not fine dining but again for the price and what you get it's s bargain. $26 pp for lunch but if you have a entertainment coupon around $19

the food is good quality, typical roast chicken, masalas, asian and salads.

if you're a group with different cuisine needs, then fortuna is for you. desserts are good. coffee is excellent. service good. environment loud and crowded. i would go back for a monday night dinner. oh... it's best to book since it's always quite full.


negative: soda drinks not included in buffet , $5 each cup (unlimited refills). just doesn't make much sense since one is already paying $31.60, i mean it should be included atleast with the adult price.

loved it. great price and good range on the hot food and salad bar. the only negative issue i can fault was the canned fruit salad for desssert, would of been good if it was freshly made fruit salad. would definitely go again when i'm in auckland next. the price is $30.90 per person and you can get unlimited drinks for $5. quite a busy restaurant (was a tuesday night). i recommend booking.

great range of food at this place. from the soups to the desserts, all are simply delicious. the environment is also very nice, great service.

come here mostly for lunch. good price and quality compared to other buffet restaurants i've been to. there is a good variety of dishes from the salad bar and hot meals. good options for toddlers and kids too. staff are friendly and clear tables in a good manner. you also can get parking discount when you eat here. since becoming meat and dairy free, not a good option coming here as not much dishes to choose from.

came here with family to celebrate my sis birthday. i really enjoyed the food. fresh, good variety and delicious. pretty affordable too would definitely come back here.

visited fortuna on a busy public holiday monday. we have been here a couple of times before and have found the overall experience very good each time. we were very quickly served and seated at our table, staff were all very friendly and helpful. only had to wait a couple of minutes to be served by a waiter that took our drinks order and within 5 minutes of entering the restaurant we were able to start helping ourselves to the buffet. the quality of the food is fantastic, definitely one of the best buffets we have visited, with a very large selection of dishes for all tastes and an enormous range of desserts to choose from too! we even managed to be seated 15 minutes before our booking time. only complaint would be the amount of people that we seemed to have to battle to get to the dishes to get our food, however, i'm sure this was due to the restaurant being full and busy on a public holiday. will definitely be back!

my partner and friends went there today and it was very crowded but still not bad . food was very good . definitely quality ingredients. lamb was super tender . smoked fish was so yum 😍. very nice presentation ! apart from it's very crowded , it's very good .

*this review is for the dinner buffet*

first off, if you're coming with a group of people, make sure you get a booking as this place fills up fast. dinner is $37 for friday & saturday and $31 for all other days. arrive on time as you only get an hour and a half to eat from your booking time. also, it's one bill per table so make sure to sort that out beforehand.

coming with a group of 13, we got the first sitting at 5:30pm. presentation was wonderful and the food tasted very fresh. the place filled up pretty quick and there were constant queues when it got busy. the range of food was surprisingly extensive although i felt the flavors were quite standard. dessert was definitely their best section and the portion sizes were perfect as you got to try a bit of everything without feeling bloated.

overall, food was refilled in a timely manner and waiters were prompt in removing plates. atmosphere was lively and staff were friendly. def keen to come back and try their lunch buffet.

the worst place, absolutely the worst. the service was horrible and they expected us to eat for only 1 and half hours only, this was the dinner menu by the way. would never come back here, the food was alright but i found my chicken to be under cooked and bloodied.

good variety of dishes. well kept premises. smears packed. they have cheaper midweek rates as oppose to weekends. must pre book. great for family birthdays however you cannot serve your byo cake.

fortuna is always my family and i's go to buffet restaurant! have been going for many years now and they have improved alot. breakfast buffet is really good, variety delicious foods. lunch and dinner also has really good selection of food! all though their customer service lacks 3/5 some workers just stare and make things awkward
but overall good place for big crowds and for birthdays etc.

went there for valentine's and obviously was packed. bookings recommended as the place is always busy. wow...food galore! wide range of food. from appetizer, main meal, side dishes, soup and teas/coffees. food was pretty average, bit crowded for me as the dining place isn't that big. tables were too close. i just wish we don't have to pay $5 for fizzies, should be included in the meal. buffet meal cost about $30+.

i love coming to the fortuna buffet restaurant!. there is always a good choices of food and plenty of it. also great price too $30.90 from sunday-thursday. you get an hour and a half of dining time which is pretty cool, time just flies though. this place is great for parties, large function and of corse dinner dates. we were lucky enough to get a table by the window and it was lovely seeing the evening sky turn to dark.

one thing to recommend is that you have to book in advance because this place is always booked out. during the peak of the session the lines to the food are very long and people are not always courteous of others which is a down fall. but we timed it good so we didn't wait in line to get our food. the staff are very good friendly and professional. as soon as they see an empty plate they clear it right away.

overall we always have a great experience at the fortuna restaurant and we will be coming back for many more meals to come!!
