i’ve been to fortuna many times for different occassions. the staff are always friendly and polite. the food is good, the space is clean and the seating area is layed out well. it’s a nice place to go if you want a variety of food. they are a family friendly restaurant which is great if you have children.

breakfast buffet here is the best
so many options! some food does dry out even if you are there early (bacon)
value for money, can’t beat it. lovely to watch auckland city wake up while you devour all sorts of fresh fruit, eggs, waffles and danishes. yum. even though i don’t work graveyard hours anymore i’ll wake up early to come back soon!

considerably cheaper buffet than other places. vegetarian might have limited options. nice and species. staff is very friendly. we had a reunion function. so we made sounds i think which might disturb another guest. happy to go often

always love this place especially because they have a range of everything ! beats valentines any day hands down when it comes to buffet ! service is great and food is great !

good selection of food and value for money great the quality of the food was good but not great. i would done again as long as wasn’t looking for something truely delicious.

initially the food at fortuna was bland and lack flavour then there are times when it was scrumptious.... sometimes the curries can be hit or a miss... the fried rice lacked seasoning... but the fish, vegetarian pizza, salads and desserts were amazing!!! i guess 5 dollars is fair for bottomless drinks...

went here for lunch, has a good buffet especially if you just want different varieties of food that is good value for money. will definitely be back here sometime soon.

best value for money, comfortable seating all the usual buffet food youd expect well cooked, lovely service, came for tea but also frequent breakfast, reminds me of how valentine use to be

generally, it is an acceptable buffet. it had a bit of everything, but does not have much variety. my favourites were the seafood and the desserts. it is mostly great for large gatherings or great number of guests. but, not a good place to have a chat. there will be lots of noise and coming-&-going.

haven't been here in a while, but my husband surprised me with my birthday dinner last night! i was very impressed! food is hot, fresh, plentiful. oysters were also big, fresh and delicious! as usual last night was busy, but lovely customer service from front counter, to our serving hosts, kept the flow and patrons happy. thank you fortuna, we will see you again in a few weeks!!

went there for lunch and it is $25 per head. food is average to be honest. nothing special. dinner service is somehow $35 per head with the exact same thing! how can they justify charging more for the same food? not enough choices for main courses. if you won the vouchers to eat for free then go, or else go else where as it is not worth it. service is great though.

never been dissapointed, venue and location is a ten and the price you pay for your buffet meal is a ten can't go wrong here. fresh and yummy food. family friendly.

i’ll start with the good points. definitely value for money. good range of spread, although quality is inconsistent especially with the hot meat dishes where a little seasoning could go a long way! the desserts are the highlight, passion fruit cream topped mini pavlovas were to die for. now for the bad. the service was shocking. it’s a busy restaurant especially on a saturday but the reception staff were inattentive. it was our first time visiting and no one explained the seating arrangements so we chose our own. halfway through our meal we weren’t so much asked as told to move but no one offered to move our plates, drinks etc. what a shame.

i've been here a few times and i've never been disappointed with the quality of food that is put out. for the price you pay for, i reckon it's worth it 😉😄
