ive been tofortunacountless of times for birthdays, lunches and dinner, the only disappointing thing is that the food are the same as what they served on lunch and dinner. they do have some dishes which are amazing and the staff can be so-so (can be attentive and you can get ignored). overall after going there alot, its not exactly one of the best buffets in auckland.

had a birthday dinner here. wasn't impressed with lamb necks being included in the "lamb shanks". but otherwise, the dinner menu wasn't anything fancy. i believe the newfortunaisn't as good as it used to be before all the changes. probably a good option if you're hungry and after a buffet style restaurant in the city. good range of desserts.

we've been tofortunamany times over the years and they"v improved leeps and bounds since they"v moved up stairs from there original outlet,the service is much better the food quality wise better,but the last few times we've been,same dishes,they need to mix it up from time to time to keep the punters interested..price wise still value for money....as other buffet restaurant in auckland not up 2scratch....

so upset my grandkids gave up waiting in line for food that i paid for!! i was bullied when i was in line for food by other customers because i took my time. a big customer walked straight in front of me and my 10 year old granddaughter was traumatized by bullying behavior when we were waiting in a long line for food and she told me she never wants to go back tofortunaand we never will..

i gave a 1 star because the food choices was very small, and nothing in particular stood out. you simply don't get your money's worth since the food they serve isn't particularly expensive to prepare with the exception of seafood and the lamb.

the desserts were good and i like the all you can drink coffee. otherwisefortunais just another valentine's but in skycity.

we had dinner infortunaand got really dissapointed with both food and the service. my partner got raw pork and allergy reaction to shellfish even though he didnt ate any seafood, and after complaining to the staff they acted very deffensive rather than helpfull and kept arguing as that its not their fault if the utensils to take the food was mixed even though thats a major health hazard. they kept arguing and repeating that they cant give us a refund even though we didn’t even ask for one. this personally has been the worse restaurant experience in my life and after such an experience i would never suggest someone to go tofortunaso that they don’t have to go through such an experience.

evenfortunalocated at sky tower, but still don't have much choice of food. price isn't expensive, so they quite busy everyday. dessert and lamb taste good, service nice and friendly.

we have been tofortunafor years, however the last two visits we had this year were very disappointed. the service was friendly and efficient, however the food quality and variety were getting quite poor.

absolutely love this place! just finish coming back from having dinner atfortuna& just had to write a review. love the food & the atmosphere. waitresses cleared tables really fast, always checked up on us. recommend to all! will be nice if there was more dinner options.

fortuna is our go-to-place when we can’t think of any special resto to celebrate special occasions or when we have family and friends visiting us from overseas and we want to take them to somewhere impressive - andfortunanever disappoints us. both lunch and dinner buffet have a wide range of choices for entrees, mains, and dessert.

one thing that i am most impressed is the quality control and the menu is changing regularly; though that means that you’ll gonna miss out on your favourites next time around 😉. staff are very polite and professional, and the place is spacious even during busy times.

you need to reserve a table beforehand and be advised that there is a time limit of an hour and a half for dining (which is quite long enough unless you spend more time flicking your phone). the price range is also very reasonable.

fortuna is highly recommended!

i've been tofortunaon many different occasions and i must say the buffet is fairly average. a variety of average food options that are still nice to eat but standard for a restaurant located in a much rather lavish hotel/building. nonetheless, the food is still good for the price paid, especially the dessert range.

i’ve been tofortunamany times for different occassions. the staff are always friendly and polite. the food is good, the space is clean and the seating area is layed out well. it’s a nice place to go if you want a variety of food. they are a family friendly restaurant which is great if you have children.

initially the food atfortunawas bland and lack flavour then there are times when it was scrumptious.... sometimes the curries can be hit or a miss... the fried rice lacked seasoning... but the fish, vegetarian pizza, salads and desserts were amazing!!! i guess 5 dollars is fair for bottomless drinks...

we went for breakfast buffet here this morning. food was amazing. huge variety of fresh fruit, cereal, different bread, different cold meats as well as hot sausages, baked beans, spaghetti, hoki noodles, fried rice, hash browns, pancakes, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs any style, just to name a few. orange juice and pineapple juice as well as coffee and tea is available and included in the price. the buffet restaurant is very clean and made us feeling comfortable. staff is very friendly and attentive. the only reason why we don't rate 5 stars was the music. not even sure if you can call that annoying noise music. anyways that was really bad and on top of that much too loud. but apart from that the breakfast buffet atfortunawas a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. we will be back (with ear plugs ha ha ha)

the food is good quality, typical roast chicken, masalas, asian and salads.

if you're a group with different cuisine needs, thenfortunais for you. desserts are good. coffee is excellent. service good. environment loud and crowded. i would go back for a monday night dinner. oh... it's best to book since it's always quite full.


negative: soda drinks not included in buffet , $5 each cup (unlimited refills). just doesn't make much sense since one is already paying $31.60, i mean it should be included atleast with the adult price.
