fork andstixis a small place, tucked away off a side street in the loop. without knowing it was there, you'd easily miss it, and what a shame that would be. i'm curious as to how some of the more standard dishes taste, but i was really happy to see some options that normally aren't on my radar. i can easily see how both the khao soi and sai oua made list of dishes you should try. while not every dish hit on all cylinders, there's enough to like here that it should definitely make your rotation on places to try.

went to fork andstixlast weekend based solely on reviews. it was nice weather so we sat outside at a cute little table under some nice shade trees and where promptly waited on. we started of sharing two appetizers, which were both yummy and generous in portions followed by two different curries once again very generous in portion. the food was delicious and the service was great the only thing that i would caution is beware of the spice, the curries were warm! but that being said we loved it!

beautiful and delicious thai food in st. louis!. i did not think i would ever find really fresh and authentic thai food in st. louis. fork &stixdoes it right! i had read such wonderful reviews of this place, so on our first visit tonight, we wanted to sample several items. we started with the crispy spring rolls, which were perfectly fried and overstuffed with carrot and cabbage. delicious! next we tried the som tum paired with an order of muu ping and sticky rice. perfection! for entrees, we had shrimp pad thai and chicken khao soi. my husband preferred the more familiar taste of the pad thai and i loved the gorgeous bowl of yellow curry soup. both dishes were brighter in appearance and taste than any thai food i have had in st. louis. even my $8 glass of hess cabernet was tasty! the server was friendly and competent, the dining room cozy and comfortable. i found everything to be excellent and cannot wait to go back!

hoy jaw + hung lay, you guys.. here's the deal: fork &stixis the best thai food i've had in st. louis. by far. admittedly i haven't been to every thai restaurant in the city, and if i taste something better, i'll update this review. but for now, it's the best. they serve northern thai food, which makes it unique. the flavors {sweet + spicy} are bold and the textures are exactly as they should be. when you go to fork & stix, it's off the beaten path of the loop...a little quieter, a little more relaxing...like your own little thai mecca. and it's approachable. if you've never eaten thai food, or if you're not that adventurous of an eater, trust me...you'll still like fork & stix. if you are adventurous, you'll have even more fun.

get the hoy jaw {fried dumplings w/crab and shrimp mixed with minced pork and served with a thai sweet chili sauce} and the hung lay curry {it involves pork belly, pork loin, and an addictive curry that seems to hail more from india than thailand...sweet, sour, and spicy}. you'll love it.

fork &stixis not only my favorite thai restaurant in st. louis, but it’s easily one of my favorite restaurants in the whole city.fork &stixowner phatcharin wanna is bringing st. louis its first taste of chiang mai style thai food, and thank goodness for that. aside from the city’s laid-back atmosphere, chiang mai is known for its incredible array of street snacks.
