fork and stix is a small place, tucked away off a side street in the loop. without knowing it was there, you'd easily miss it, and what a shame that would be. i'm curious as to how some of the more standard dishes taste, but i was really happy to see some options that normally aren't on my radar. i can easily see how both the khaosoiand sai oua made list of dishes you should try. while not every dish hit on all cylinders, there's enough to like here that it should definitely make your rotation on places to try.

the tom yum soup is a wonderful starter. it tastes very fresh, and had a pretty good bite (you can cool it down if you prefer). the service is outstanding- they are all very attentive and work together. i also had a delicious soup for my entree, the khaosoientree. i was reluctant because the description didn't sound like it ended up tasting. it was very flavorful, layered with spice and curry. i will go back for this meal again soon.

great thai food at incredible prices! byob, though... date posted: jul 28, 2013 category: thai address: 549 rosedale ave saint louis, mo 63112 this place has some of the best thai food in the area, and best of all it is very reasonably priced.  pictured below is the hung lay curry, which was incredibly tender and tasty.  a must order for meat eaters.  for vegetarians get the khaosoiwith tofu (pictured in the title image above). there is no liquor license but you can bring your own booze, or at least your own wine.  we saw several people bringing in bottles of wine with no problem. the iced-coffee was very good.  it wasn’t overly sweet like some places make it.  it had a nice bitter flavor. the tum yum soup was delightful as well.  the only detraction of the place (besides a lack of booze) was that it did not look terribly inviting.  from the exterior you would not think it had some of the best thai in the area. give it a try! pros : great food, great prices cons : poor atmosphere.  byob. charlie’s favorites :  hung lay curry, tum yum soup christine’s favorites : khaosoiwith tofu, iced coffee, papaya salad share the love of good food... 1 0

khaosoiis amazing. smaller menu than other thai places, but the khaosoiwith tofu is one of the best things i've ever eaten.
