fork and stix is a small place, tucked away off a side street in the loop. without knowing it was there, you'd easily miss it, and what a shame that would be. i'm curious as to how some of the more standard dishes taste, but i was really happy to see some options that normally aren't on my radar. i can easily see how both the khao soi and sai oua made list of dishes you should try. while not every dish hit on all cylinders, there's enough to like here that it should definitely make your rotation on places to try.

best mother's day gift!. so my daughter who lives in chicago called to get a gift certificate for me at the last minute. sh had the nerve to ask them to deliver it to my house (about four blocks away). not only did they do it, but they added a flower planted in a lovely vase. that is service above and beyond! as usual, the food was exceptional!

amazing thai restaurant that doesn't usually show up in your search results when you're looking for options. i wonder why. the food is simply delicious and value for money. yummy!

went here on recommendation of a few friends. probably in the quietest area on the delmar loop, this restaurant has a very peaceful vibe. indoor and outdoor seating available. the staff is very courteous and friendly. the food is delicious. just one piece of advice, the tea is not hot, i ordered cha yen tea which turned out to be iced drink. overall experience at the restaurant was very amazing.

went to fork and stix last weekend based solely on reviews. it was nice weather so we sat outside at a cute little table under some nice shade trees and where promptly waited on. we started of sharing two appetizers, which were both yummy and generous in portions followed by two different curries once again very generous in portion. the food was delicious and the service was great the only thing that i would caution is beware of the spice, the curries were warm! but that being said we loved it!

the tom yum soup is a wonderful starter. it tastes very fresh, and had a pretty good bite (you can cool it down if you prefer). the service is outstanding- they are all very attentive and work together. i also had a delicious soup for my entree, the khao soi entree. i was reluctant because the description didn't sound like it ended up tasting. it was very flavorful, layered with spice and curry. i will go back for this meal again soon.

okay, so as you can tell we love and know our thai food! very sweet servers and attentive. service was quick and well done but overall it was still a very average dining experience. my taste buds were not screaming for more. the price is lower than most but the serving size is a great deal smaller. nam tok was delicious but again much smaller portion size than others for the same price. spring rolls were pretty average as was the pad thai. the pad khee mow was not very impressive. it lacked flavor and any remnant of a glaze or sauce. they also used a thin noodle versus the typical wide noodle. both noodle dishes were about the size of a ramen packet. i'm fine with this serving size as adequate eats but the price should reflect the smaller portions. it does not. one time visit for us but thank you for the kind service. wish i had got some pictures but totally forgot on this one.

beautiful and delicious thai food in st. louis!. i did not think i would ever find really fresh and authentic thai food in st. louis. fork & stix does it right! i had read such wonderful reviews of this place, so on our first visit tonight, we wanted to sample several items. we started with the crispy spring rolls, which were perfectly fried and overstuffed with carrot and cabbage. delicious! next we tried the som tum paired with an order of muu ping and sticky rice. perfection! for entrees, we had shrimp pad thai and chicken khao soi. my husband preferred the more familiar taste of the pad thai and i loved the gorgeous bowl of yellow curry soup. both dishes were brighter in appearance and taste than any thai food i have had in st. louis. even my $8 glass of hess cabernet was tasty! the server was friendly and competent, the dining room cozy and comfortable. i found everything to be excellent and cannot wait to go back!

hoy jaw + hung lay, you guys.. here's the deal: fork & stix is the best thai food i've had in st. louis. by far. admittedly i haven't been to every thai restaurant in the city, and if i taste something better, i'll update this review. but for now, it's the best. they serve northern thai food, which makes it unique. the flavors {sweet + spicy} are bold and the textures are exactly as they should be. when you go to fork & stix, it's off the beaten path of the loop...a little quieter, a little more relaxing...like your own little thai mecca. and it's approachable. if you've never eaten thai food, or if you're not that adventurous of an eater, trust me...you'll still like fork & stix. if you are adventurous, you'll have even more fun.

get the hoy jaw {fried dumplings w/crab and shrimp mixed with minced pork and served with a thai sweet chili sauce} and the hung lay curry {it involves pork belly, pork loin, and an addictive curry that seems to hail more from india than thailand...sweet, sour, and spicy}. you'll love it.

good. i started out with the pad thai and my husband got the green curry. after 2 bites we had to trade because his curry was too spicy for him. both dishes were very tasty.

great thai food at incredible prices! byob, though... date posted: jul 28, 2013 category: thai address: 549 rosedale ave saint louis, mo 63112 this place has some of the best thai food in the area, and best of all it is very reasonably priced.  pictured below is the hung lay curry, which was incredibly tender and tasty.  a must order for meat eaters.  for vegetarians get the khao soi with tofu (pictured in the title image above). there is no liquor license but you can bring your own booze, or at least your own wine.  we saw several people bringing in bottles of wine with no problem. the iced-coffee was very good.  it wasn’t overly sweet like some places make it.  it had a nice bitter flavor. the tum yum soup was delightful as well.  the only detraction of the place (besides a lack of booze) was that it did not look terribly inviting.  from the exterior you would not think it had some of the best thai in the area. give it a try! pros : great food, great prices cons : poor atmosphere.  byob. charlie’s favorites :  hung lay curry, tum yum soup christine’s favorites : khao soi with tofu, iced coffee, papaya salad share the love of good food... 1 0

very good thai food. everything was nicely prepared with fresh ingredients. we had the chicken sateh, which were okay and the hoy jaw (deep fried dumplings -- pork, shrimp, crab filling wrapped in tofu skin) which i wish had more shrimp/crab and less pork. for entrees, we ordered the khao soy noodles and the hung le curry (on the good recommendation from the whiskey and soba blog). i am not a fan of coconut milk or of sweetness in savory foods, but i thought the khao soy was delicious and it had both. the pork in the hung le curry was tender and the curry sauce had a lot of different strands of flavor to savor. very pleasant clean atmosphere, even when it was full and lively, we had no trouble holding conversation.

fork & stix is not only my favorite thai restaurant in st. louis, but it’s easily one of my favorite restaurants in the whole city.fork & stix owner phatcharin wanna is bringing st. louis its first taste of chiang mai style thai food, and thank goodness for that. aside from the city’s laid-back atmosphere, chiang mai is known for its incredible array of street snacks.
