outstanding food and service! it looks like this restaurants reputation has outgrown it's building. great oyster appetizer and fried green tomatoes. grouper main course was unbelievable, along with bourbon bread pudding that was a yummy end to a delicious meal.

thank you for your support. i work for the owner of fisherman's corner restaurant and want to thank all of you who have come out to try our great food. most of the reviews i read are positive. all of the reviews i have read have been fair and honest.

fisherman's corner is what we call our "five star shack". it doesn't have much of a view (those of you who have commented on the overpass are right) and it doesn't have a large seating capacity (the kitchen is even smaller) but it has fabulously friendly staff and fantastic food!

we do our very best to create fine dining ambiance in a fish camp-like building by using fresh white linens, maintaining an award winning wine list, featuring live music on weekends, and serving delicious food.

everything we serve is fresh and homemade. only fresh gulf seafood is used and nothing comes from a can! great food takes time and the wait is well worth it! we have no heat lamps and no microwaves - but what we do have are culinary trained chefs who put passion into their food.

so, please make a reservation to avoid the waiting list, please do not be afraid of the "hole in a wall" exterior and please forgive us the limitations that go with running a terribly busy restaurant out of a very small kitchen.

we will do our best to make your experience well worth the wait.

this food snob thinks it's awesome!. being from new orleans, my husband and i are true food snobs. rarely are we impressed with restaurants when we travel. that being said, fisherman's corner not only met, but exceeded our expectations. the service is friendly and the food is fresh and phenomenal. my only "complaint" is that it is very small and therefore you should either have a reservation, go early, or be prepared to wait. but take heart, the wait will be worth it!

wow, what a "hole in the wall" place that's off the beaten path. the wife and i arrived around 5 and the wait was around 30 minutes. i thought about leaving because i was hungry but glad we stayed. we got the fried green tomatoes (see pic), creole linguini (see pic) and red snapper and grits (see pic). the food was full of flavor and we couldn't even finish. two thumbs up.

pretty good shrimp and fried gouda grits (though they claim spicy & it was not spicy but still good. they absolutely nailed the nola style bbq shrimp. messy but worth it. limited beer selection & it's not much to look at beside the overpass but the food is great and staff is sweet.

stopped by for lunch after morning golf on a sunday afternoon. they were serving a brunch menu. we ordered gumbo and the spicy shrimp/oysters for appetizers. gumbo ingredients were good but the gumbo tasted as if the roux has been burned. but the concept was on point. the spicy oysters were my favorite of the two (we did half and half). i got the shrimp and grits and i hands down would order this again. flavor and textures were great. i got mine spicy and it had just the right amount of heat note. other members of the party got the bbq shrimp and fried seafood "salad". the bbq shrimp were rich with flavor but tough to peel. the salad is like a seafood basket on greens. enjoyed the batter and the variety. wait staff was great. logan did a great job. will be on the beach food list for us. small spot and menu seems to vary gotten to make each visit a little different

awful service, staff runs around like it's the end of the world, and as we sat next to the host stand we could hear them deny phone orders because they are "too busy."

loved the food! and it is not that expensive at all, especially compared to sunset grille or other restaurants around the perdido key. the food is delicious.

best food during our vacation. three of us had lunch on sat and the food was amazing. the grilled shrimp, done without butter due to a dietary necessity was the best shrimp i've had all week. one in the group had the shrimp and grits and said they would order it again, even tho they aren't a "grits" person. the other meal was a crawfish po'boy and sweet potato fires that was great. the fried cheesecake was unique and very good. our waiter, jacob, provided us with outstanding service and made sure that all dietary needs were met. have recommended this restaurant to others. it is one place you want people to know about so they stay in business, but don't want it to get so big that you can't get a table!

bad. i had a shrimp poboy and it was horrible. it was not even close to the menu description - there was nothing on it except lettuce and raw tomatoes. the tomatoes were supposed to be oven roasted and there was supposed to be creole remoulade as well. there was no sauce at all, apart from the grease the shrimp had been fried in that had soaked into the doughy, chewy bread. gross.
