hard to beat cooking and service like this, the shrimp is right-on. you'd be hard pressed to find better. the caught of the day is always our favorite,

always good! we've never had a bad experience and we eat there somewhat regularly as we live only a few minutes away. excellent for seafood, but plenty of options for non seafood eaters as well.

excellent service for appetizers (frog legs and marinated crab claws) and great entrées of blackened grouper topped with shrimp on a bed of mashed red taters, and the shrimp and grits ... which were on point!

food:  almost all fried.  the fish didn't have much flavoring.  this is a sign of an establishment that does not have the capability to actually cook something to make it edible so they just fry it all.  don't say frying everything down here is a regional specialty, because it's not.  the crab that came with the platter was intact.....and it was.....soggy.  yes, a whole crab that was soggy.  how does this happen?  i could not pull meat from this poor creature so in effect it died for nothing.  the shell was like wet paper.  mind boggling....a soggy crab.  the pasta and shrimp dish was so greasy that every bite was dripping what i determine to be butter.   the appetizer didn't mix well - fried green tomatoes are either fine by themselves or with ranch.  whatever they topped it with was not good - at all .

service:  meh.......it wasn't even busy during the time i was there and there was plenty of staff yet service left much to be desired.

ambiance:  has a coastal fishing shack feel which i liked.  non-pretentious and relaxed.  you can almost come right off the beach into the restaurant.

price: extremely overpriced for what was received.  my advice is to go deeper into pensacola (near palafox) for some truly wonderful dining options which are worth their expense without being over-priced.

bottom line:  for $70 between two people, i would expect much better food quality than what i received. service could have been a touch better.  the only reason this restaurant is: 1- still in business and 2- charges what it does is because of the touristy location and the fact that it is literally under a bridge..

worth the trip!. i ordered the seafood platter and best i ever had. seafood was fresh. the fried shrimp appetizer was awesome. will be going back. my friend had the sirloin with some kind of crab sauce that was delicious. serving size are rather large and we ended up taking half home for later. service was good and manager stopped by our table to make sure everything was to our liking.

excuses !. we thought we would try the fisherman's corner.. walking in we were greeted by brent who kept us waiting at the door making excuses about the bench seating being uncomfortable and the looks of the building from outside...fix the seats and throw some paint on the outside...simple ! brent talked our ears off about how great the food was, and that all of the snowbirds eat there...well maybe that's because eating there beats driving trying to look for a restrauant. i ordered the parmesan chicken and there was no parmesan on the plate, the angel hair pasta was starchy and stuck together, and no bread or roll was offered.. my husband had two large pieces of bread with his oysters..so he offered me one of his bread slices...we weren't that impressed with the food, and will pass this place by on the way to the beach...
with the food, and will

probably will not go back. we went there based upon all of the good reviews.
the outside looked a little rough but it was busy and had a pretty good feel inside.

we started with the eggplant parm appetizer which our waitress totally forgot until we reminded her. then when she "rushed it" from the kitchen and it looked like it was thrown together quickly, i guess because it was.

i had the chicken and my wife had a fish dish. the chicken was bronzed which i thought was seared and roasted. i was wrong. it was covered with a terrible tasting seasoning which totally ruined the flavor of the chicken. my wifes fish was very dried out.

our waitress was fairly rude and we felt honored when she graced us with her presence.

i would say fisherman's corner has potential but on the night of our visit the food and service was bad. there are other restaurants in the area that are consistently good so i do not think we will be back.

love it!. this is definitely a "don't judge a book by its cover" kind of place. i'll admit pulling in to this place i was concerned. i walked in and i was still a little concerned, but they had white table cloths so it can't be too bad right? the food was absolutely amazing...worth the 30min wait. it's a tiny place and very popular so i recommend reservations even during the week. it was so good i went back a week later when i had guests visiting from out of town.
the seafood was incredibly fresh. unfortunately they didn't have crab cakes when i went back the second time, but i respect the fact that they don't serve you something that isn't freshly caught...the crab cakes are delicious. having come from the d.c. area i'm spoiled by maryland blue crab cake expectations even though i'm in pensacola. i've been really let down on more than one occasion since moving here, but they did not disappoint. a lot of crab and not a lot of breading/fillers...perfect. steak was done perfectly and the bread pudding was equally perfect...that's another popular dessert item in the gulf and for some reason restaurants think they can't screw it up, but they do; just because it's simple to make does not mean the flavor should be simple; it's a popular thing to make with stale bread, but it tastes like it when you do. i've had bricks of bread pudding and i've had melt in your mouth bread pudding...fisherman's is melt in your mouth. can't wait to go back...favorite restaurant in the area hands down.

disappointed. i have eaten at fishermans corner many times during different trips to the beach. i was most disappointed the other night when we dined at fc. i don't think the frying oil had been changed in quite some time. the onion rings and fried shrimp were greasy and that was the first time that was the first time that had happened.
