relatively long lines during the weekend but wellworththe wait. the puffs are cooked fresh so they come out very hot (be careful when biting in!). the dough is thin and soft, while the filling is a mildly sweet custard. each puff is bite sized so they go down very easily. we ordered a pack of 9 for $4. remember to bring cash as there is a surcharge for card.

um. um. im not calling it bad honestly. i think it's great and the filling is so satisfying and the cake is fluffy. but im sort of disappointed. the size is perfect but i guess all the hype and the long queues made me expect something more than just tasty food. but!!

the long queues is totallyworthit!! its perfect in everything but theres something missing for me so!! yeah!! 9/10 recommended!!

all they do is custard cream puffs, that is all and it’s amazing!

what’s the rule - if there’s a line, get in it! coz if it’s good it’sworthwaiting for.

such an amazing price - $5 for 18 delicious bites of heaven - yes!!!!

terrible terrible service. dear potential customers - do not come to this store. the staff and especially manager are completely unprofessional and rude. the distress they cause is absolutely notworthit. the manager was rude when conversing and demanded tips. i don't think a restaurant that is unwilling to provide basic care and service to their customers isworthgoing to.

beaut cream puffs!
whenever i walk past the huge line queuing for the emperor garden's cream puffs, i'm always curious as to what it tasted like. at first i thought it was a tourist trap, but when you have locals (and tourists) alike lining up, then it must be good. so after work on monday i decided to line up for a try :)

price 10/10 - 35 cents per puff, $5 for 20, hectik price, cheap af, make sure you buy heaps for you, friends and da fam.

cream puff 9.5/10 - soft cakey goodness then a creamy hit when you bit into the centre, plus its very small sized so great to eat as a snack. only point off was that the hot cream scalded my tongue, but gains 0.5 points because that means it was made fresh :)

service - friendly cantonese woman making the puffs, but they don't let you take pics/film the actual process

the massively long lines (which seem to be there all the time) put you off (as it deterred me many times) but its definitelyworthit to try this delicacy!

emperor’s garden cream puffs. a chinatown institution. the lines are long and the service is abrupt, but these hot, custard filled little balls areworthit. last night during our wait in the queue we were treated to a kid trying to master the kickflip, while his friends rated him on his form. his friend, no matter what, wouldn’t give him a 9/10 – a score reserved for the greats. at one stage he told him “you’re no tony hawk,” which is true.

the emperor has a big army of followers, and there are good reasons why people are so addicted to the emperor's cream puff. it's soft, slightly crispy, sweet, creamy and super cheap. the only nasty part is lining up, but it'sworththe wait. i give the cream puff 4 bears.

this place is my guilty pleasure. the line is long but soworthit! even if you’re not going for the puffs and want to explore in their bakery, their selection is wide and made fresh to satisfy your taste buds.

this is a tiny hole in the wall kiosk in the heart of china town which attracts a queue a mile long! i had to see what the fuss was naturally 😊 there is an amazing automated machine that spits out these tiny little puffed dough balls filled with hot oozy custard. so delicious! 1 for 35c, 3 for $1, or 18 for $5. the line does move fairly fast, it’sworththe wait 😊

we always get some emperor puffs while we are passing through chinatown. this place may seem quite ordinary and hidden away but it is a true gem. really cheap prices for such good emperor puffs. there’s always such a long line for these and that’s already a clear sign that these areworthlining up for. if you haven’t tried emperor puffs before this place is a must go!
