beaut cream puffs!
whenever i walk past the huge line queuing for the emperor garden's cream puffs, i'm always curious as to what it tasted like. at first i thought it was a tourist trap, but when you have locals (and tourists) alike lining up, then it must be good. so after work on monday i decided to line up for a try :)

price 10/10 - 35 cents per puff, $5 for 20, hectik price, cheapaf, make sure you buy heaps for you, friends and da fam.

cream puff 9.5/10 - soft cakey goodness then a creamy hit when you bit into the centre, plus its very small sized so great to eat as a snack. only point off was that the hot cream scalded my tongue, but gains 0.5 points because that means it was made fresh :)

service - friendly cantonese woman making the puffs, but they don't let you take pics/film the actual process

the massively long lines (which seem to be there all the time) put you off (as it deterred me many times) but its definitely worth it to try this delicacy!

this seems to be a sydney institution but what exactly is the appeal?cheaptummy filler. so even if you don’t fancy cream puffs, you have very little to lose to try it monetarily.

other dessert joints may set you back a bit if the taste isn’t up to scratch but this one is a gamble with

heard great things about this place and we happened to walk past it so we decided to check it out.

there wasn’t much of a line when we went so we didn’t have to wait long. super affordable cream puffs that are baked fresh. we purchased 9 for only $3 and they were piping hot when the staff passed it to us.

they smelt amazing and tasted great too! love how the dough is chewy and the custard inside is not too sweet. but they were nothing special as i felt that i could eat these anywhere. definitely tasty if you are wanting somecheapeats though!

hole in the wall. literally. but serves really hot custamrd buns or cream puffs as they'd call it here. mildy sweet and really easy on the tummy, these hot custard filled buns are a delight! don't expect gourmet and savor thecheapfillings of china town. great job guys.

all you can say it that it is incrediblycheapand i've come here since i was a kid so it's also nostalgic to get these cream puffs after dinner. usually the line is either super long or super short i swear there is no in between.

the stuff in the actual bakery looks like good desserts (it's all very sugary so not great for meals) but i get enough from the outside window where you buy little cream puffs for 40c each, reducing if you buy a lot.  really fresh and tasty and 10 would make a filling and unhealthy but verycheapmeal.

we always get some emperor puffs while we are passing through chinatown. this place may seem quite ordinary and hidden away but it is a true gem. reallycheapprices for such good emperor puffs. there’s always such a long line for these and that’s already a clear sign that these are worth lining up for. if you haven’t tried emperor puffs before this place is a must go!

i loooove it! have been coming here a lot ever since my friends brought me here. i get cravings for these a lot and they'recheapenough not to hurt my wallet.

it's better when it's hot, but it's still good when it's cold. sometimes i buy a lot for breakfast the next day.

verycheapand popular little snack in chinatown! there is usually a massive line outside this place at night. tastes amazing and is great value for money but be careful, they are very hot as they are cooked fresh.
