had my birthday dinner here and what a night it was! ordered banquet $60pp, thefoodwas fabulous. serves were so generous we packed two take-away containers from leftovers. ambiance was so romantic. the service was par excellence and it certainly made my birthday even more special. will return for sure.

sivrioglu’s cooking is familiar enough to be recognisable to australians who understand that turkishfoodis more than a late-night doner, but turned up and twisted enough to be sophisticated and surprising as well.

the was my first experience in turkish breakfast. even though the spread on the menu for fixed menu looked amazing, the quantity of actualfoodminus the spreads etc jams was lot to be desired. the only actual mainfoodwas the scrambled egg and sausages plus pita bread. not worth the 30 plus dollars per person.

the downstairs part of efendy restaurant makes you feel like you are in a meze bar in istanbul. thefoodis fresh and tasty, the waiting staff are warm and friendly. and then there’s the beers, gin and traditional turkish aperitifs like raki (an anised flavour aperitif). if you want a casual and fun night in the inner west, efendy is the spot! #efendy

came here with the group of 4 after checking out the review and picturesque photos of brekky platter.

for drinks, we got served apple tea or black tea.
then the platter comes with the selection of jams and dips, 3 kind of cheese, ham and watermelon. we also get a plate of tomato scrambled egg, and a tiny portion of cut up sausage with side of breads

we didnt end up finishing the dips/jam as they dont even given enough bread.

the bill came up as $140 for the total, $35/person it seems didnt add up, we received the same amount offoodwith 3 people sitting on the next table to us.

at least for $35 per person you can get 1 and half decent portion for breakfast in a normal cafe. keen to try other menu they offered but breakfast menu is tad expensive compare to what you get, i guess you pay for the experience.

beautiful location and layout. i fell in love when i first walked in. didn’t have a booking but the staff where able to find us a table, requested for outside seating since it was such beautiful weather. we got to enjoy the sun andfoodat the same time... how good is that? and you get unlimited refill on apple tea!!!

ordered the breakfast grazing board, and it felt like i took a trip back to my childhood. it had all of the little things i forgot about which made me and my tummy very happy. only downfall was.. it wasn’t enough... i felt i could eat what came comfortably by myself and feel full. and then when the cost comes into place, i was then a bit more disheartened. per person for what was given, didn’t seem fair on the ratio side of things.

i also did return with a group of 8 to try the dinner menu, again the dishes where there but they wherent filling enough for the cost. bit confusing as to which dish is bigger than the other, especially if your big eaters and you want to be satisfied, it’s a tiny bit hard. unless you get a few dishes together like they where pushing us to do (defiantly doesn’t add up cheap this way too mind you) but we didn’t do it anyways.

would i return? possibly... if i’m on a semi full stomach and want to just enjoy the atmosphere

i have been to efendy several times and every time i am not disappointed. thefoodis amazing, the staff are wonderful and friendly and the feel of the restaurant is great. i have only been here for dinner but will have to try their breakfast.

it was such a special lunch at efendy! we had the edendy feast to enjoy many different kinds of dishes. guess what...we had amazing food!!

if you are planning to order the feast, you have to get ready for a big meal! you will be so full after this...

the staff were helpful and friendly. even though it was a hot day, the table outside was very pleasant.thefoodlooked great and were divine. i personally enjoyed skewed chicken and lamb pizza kind of thing. and the slow cooked lamb was tender and juicy. i loved turkish mess dessert! it’s so creamy, sweet and beautifully presented.

they have special breakfast menu between 9am to 2pm so i’d love to try it next time!

read the reviews about this place and so was convinced to go. and boy, was i not disappointed! i absolutely love all middle easternfoodand eat it all the time and this was by far the best turkishfoodi've ever had!

we did the set menu meze and it was phenomenal! every course was incredible and there was so much of it! could barely move after! so worth the money it's unreal!

also big shout out to our waiter, he was so attentive and lovely!

he even made a wine suggestion which was absolutely on point for what i wanted!

another consistent meal at efendy, really good place to go and recommend for family or friends, relaxed vibe. plenty offoodgiven, not cheap but then rents in sydney hey...

very pleasant surprise ! efendy put a traditional, delicious twist on all time favourites from the hommus to the lamb. everything was beautifully presented, cooked to perfection and amazingly tasty. the highlights for me were the slow cooked melt-in-your-mouth lamb shoulder and the kunefe dessert! the lamb was perfectly seasoned and was so tender it fell apart. this was a beautiful end with thin bird nest like pastry, crushed pistachios and a refreshing rose water after taste. most importantly it was a perfectly balanced dessert, unlike most turkish and greek pastries this one was not overwhelmingly sweet. overall, our experience was faultless, service was prompt and friendly and thefood! definitely worthy of a revisit!

our first visit, we went for easter sunday lunch. thefoodwas soo flavourful & delicious. all staff were very welcoming & friendly. we will be back again! highly recommend efendy for all occasions. thank you for a wonderful afternoon :)
