i was intent on trying it and found the gozleme itself was pretty crispy and the taste and filling did make up for the serving size with a great duck and cheese mix that was very tasty.

had my birthday dinner here and what a night it was! ordered banquet $60pp, the food was fabulous. serves were so generous we packed two take-away containers from leftovers. ambiance was so romantic. the service was par excellence and it certainly made my birthday even more special. will return for sure.

excellent taste of turkey. i visited on sunday and was in for a turkish feast at meze bar. the lebanese beers were outstanding, very unique and a great way to start. dips with fresh bread took the edge off my hunger and set the stage for all to come. kofta, eggplant, delicious liver & onion (not like your grandma made!), salmon with artichokes and okra, and even lamb testicles for those wiling to go the extra mile down the taste extravaganza! i finished with a dessert plate, with all 3 desserts and a pistachio coffee, which was sweet and rich and perfect. love my meal, great service & can not wait to get back for more!

great spot! nice outdoor setting! food is decent, well breakfast anyway! unlimited turkish coffee and tea. good spot for groups and couples.

efendy is the turkish word for gentleman; and somer is a true example of one. he has created a warm and welcoming space in meze bar which sits beautifully with the relaxed, communal style of eating. i can highly recommend a trip to balmain to try it out. and if you go of an evening, make sure you try the delicious tektek shots such as vishne, sour cherry and cinnamon infused vodka with dom benedictine and apple tea ($5) or a lebanese 961 pale ale delicately flavoured with thyme, sumac, chamomile, sage, anise and mint ($8). cheers!

sivrioglu’s cooking is familiar enough to be recognisable to australians who understand that turkish food is more than a late-night doner, but turned up and twisted enough to be sophisticated and surprising as well.

great place and service ! the outside verandah is a perfect place to dine in for a wonderful meal and drinks . enjoyed everything that was served to us a apart of set menu - 100% recommended. would love to drop back for the turkish breakfast one day .

i had the best dessert i’ve ever eaten here. i’ve never forgotten it. it was a pale green pudding with persian fairy floss on top, not sure of the name.

second time i've been to efendy and it was as delicious as the first. staff were attentive and friendly. my favourite dishes were the prawn and the octopus. also loved the knafeh for dessert. i love the relaxed atmosphere with exceptional service and food.
