great food experience. wonderful, fresh food, with some inventive twists. i ate there twice while in fairhope, and tried many of the tacos and appetizers. the tunatacowas a standout for me, but everything was just great. loved the turnip "fries"-weird little veggie that takes darned well to this treatment, to my surprise! the friend oysters on blue cheese stuffed toasts were divine, but share them-very rich. dragonfly was a real surprise to find. great staff.

disappointed again. bottom line if you are going to charge 8 or 10 dollars for an oktacoand i mean 1tacoserved in a paper cup no less than make a good martini! there are items on that menu that clearly have blue cheese. requested blue cheese olives in my martini told sorry no, also asked for vermouth and it and it came without! crappy martini! then i ordered a glass of rose, told sorry out! server sucked and had a "can't do attitude"! this place is overpriced and overrated!

wonderful menu and i haven't been disappointed yet. i've tried severaltacooptions, the salmon was one of my faves. i've also had one of the noodle bowls that was also very tasty. tiny restaurant with limited inside seating but plenty of tables outside. beware however that they have a limited menu during the fairhope arts and crafts festival.

my wife and i went here for the first time tonight and it was amazing! when you walk up its a little confusing because you see a bunch of people sitting outside you have to walk past to actually get to the hostess. they were packed when we went, but the weather was nice so we chose to sit out side instead of the wait. server was at our table within a minute taking drink orders. we both had a variety of tacos, i got the 2 dollartacospecial which was a chicken curry. my second was the blacked ribeye, third (and my favorite of the three) was the seared tuna tacos. all three were great but the wasabi sauce paired with the perfectly seared tuna stole the show. my wife really enjoyed her tacos also. what i really liked they had about 10 different choices, and you could pick them individually as you wanted. and after reading the variety on the menu, you get as many different ones as you can eat! great food, good service even while busy. this place has become are go totacotuesday spot!

fun and inventive. the crab fritters were very crisp flavorful, and not at all greasy. the tacos were all decent, and the flour tortillas seemed slightly fried for an interesting texture. the groupertacospecial was also tasty. it was definitely something different for the area.

will definitely go back. unique menu, friendly service, reasonable prices and very good food make this a definite for a return trip. greens salad with candied pecans, purple onion, sliced omelet-style fried egg, and a lemon vinaigrette was surprisingly good and different. the firecracker shrimptacowith spicy asian slaw and the fried oystertacospecial were both delicious. finished with a very good peanut butter vanilla gelato. like the salad, a unique combo but it worked and i would have it again.

this place deserves to be on your "must eat" places list! the service, the atmosphere and the food are all excellent and i'm glad we sampled a variety of their dishes. i had a bowl of spicy udon noodles, pork and baby spinach, which i chowed down quickly! my wife had a spinach salad and a shrimp tempuratacothat was amazing. we added a little extra heat with their homemade dragon sauce that was spicy good and full of flavor! i was still wanting more, so we finished it off with a plate full of fried turnip fries that were delightful! glen provided us with exceptional service and i think we talked with the owner, who was passionate about the food, shared his insight about his menu and even sent us home with some dragon hot sauce! we can't wait to go back!

ahhhmazing! the food is very good and we get to try something new every time! all time favorite is the seated ahi tunatacowith fresh fried jalepeños! so delicious - you will think of them in your sleep! the special damsel fly (sp) drinks are always delicious! although i wish they kept the strawberry mint on menu every day!!! give it a try you will not be sorry! love df!

dragonfly food bar. what a great place to eat, fairhope has nothing like it anywhere, unbelievable flavors, i have tried everything on the menu, its all great. the chef specials are out of this world. my favoritetacois the duck, and you must try the gellato, wow. fabulous food and great service, and courtyard dinning, a great place for lunch or dinner.

judy. dragonfly food bar is my new favorite place to eat lunch and dinner. it is hard to believe that such a treasure is in downtown fairhope, alabama. the food is innovative and delicious. my favorites have been the duck confittacoand arugula salad. today i had foie gras taco, oh my gosh, the combination of tastes was so awesome, i am still shaking my head in wonder. the service is topnotch, all servers are friendly and very competent. the chef usually comes and greets as many guests as he can, that is a really nice touch. the restaurant itself is small, but very intimate in the decor. also, there is courtyard seating and it is very new orleansesque. love the place.

dragonfly is refreshingly different and delicious!!!. finally... a restaurant that abstains from the ubiquitious "fried or steamed" platter! dragonfly offers some of the best creations i have ever enjoyed! i could literally eat here twice a day... and have before!!! the prices are very affordable for lunch, as well as for dinner, which offers a slightly different menu with plates as well as tacos.

the lunch menu offers a large variety of tacos, as well as noodle bowls and delicious salads. dragonfly offers everything from a duck confittacoto a seared tuna sashimi taco. the taste pairings are out of this world and every item is a treat. my favorite is the tuna sashimi with a wasabi crema. the salads are great as well. they are large, but are not overdone. just like the aiolis and the cremas, the salad dressings are mouth watering. the shaved cucumber salad with a citrus soy vinaigrette is my favorite. all the salads are perfect accompaniments with the tacos. polish it all of with homemade gelato. once again, the taste pairings are insanely good, such as the lemon basil. it is refreshing, sweet, and a relief from mundane ice cream and pie.

the atmosphere is fun and the location is great. hands down, this is the most innovative and delicious restaurant on the eastern shore.
