absolutely wonderful!!.lovelovelovethis place!!!!! food is unlike anything else i've ever eaten. the staff is phenomenal!!!! doug creates some of the best dishes and drinks!!! and don't get me started on how good his gelato is.

the owner, doug kerr, also lists himself as the foodsmith rather than the chef.  that is an apt description because you see the personal touch with every item served.  everything is fresh, and most items are spicy.  you can ask for some spicy ingredients to be on the side, if you like, to let you customize the heat.  good salads, noodle bowls, and ilovethe tacos.  wednesday night is $3 wine night.  house wines, with some selection usually, are inexpensive, but still tasty.  they have both inside (which tends to be noisy) and outside seating.

ahhhmazing! the food is very good and we get to try something new every time! all time favorite is the seated ahi tuna taco with fresh fried jalepeños! so delicious - you will think of them in your sleep! the special damsel fly (sp) drinks are always delicious! although i wish they kept the strawberry mint on menu every day!!! give it a try you will not be sorry!lovedf!

this place will turn your taste buds into adrenaline junkies!. like it? no....iloveit!!! this little restaurant dares to be different! chef doug kerr is inventive and adventurous in preparing his menu! i never know what to expect when i go in for a visit, but i'm never disappointed with what i get. it can get somewhat expensive, but you get what you pay for. only the best ingredients are used at the dragonfly, so naturally prices must compensate. however, with that being said, i guarantee you, you'll not find a more unique experience with food anywhere in this area than this restaurant. the gourmet tacos and noodle bowls are delicious and unforgettable. the specials are insane and amazing! a must try for anyone looking for something extraordinary on the eastern shore!

welovedragonfly. dave and ilovedragonfly. it is usually our first choice when we head out to eat. we never had anything other than a pleasant experience and fantastic /unique food.e always take our out of town guests there and theyloveit, too. in fact, just talking about them makes me think i will go there for lunch tomorrow!

miss leslie says. . . . . .. dragonfly foodbar is by far the most exciting food experience to open on the eastern shore. every item on the menu, from sauces to entrees, is created with an attention to detail and assembled in a small, easy to eat package bursting with layers of flavor. you'd have to travel to a large metropolitan city to find anything close. iloveintroducing folks to this unique dining experience!

one of the best new places around..... dragonfly foodbar just keeps on delivering. every time my husband and i have been, we have had great experiences. welovethe comfortable atmosphere of eating at the bar - brooke and shelby are great. everyone there is awesome -- the people are a great match to the insanely good food. the crispy oysters with pickled cabbage on blue cheese french toast is to die for. foie gras tacos? yes please. they have wonderful daily specials like that. flavors are spot on. everything we've had has been seasoned to a t -- with the marriage of flavors that only a truly experienced chef can deliver. great "tapas" styled restaurant. will be frequenting here as often as possible.

judy. dragonfly food bar is my new favorite place to eat lunch and dinner. it is hard to believe that such a treasure is in downtown fairhope, alabama. the food is innovative and delicious. my favorites have been the duck confit taco and arugula salad. today i had foie gras taco, oh my gosh, the combination of tastes was so awesome, i am still shaking my head in wonder. the service is topnotch, all servers are friendly and very competent. the chef usually comes and greets as many guests as he can, that is a really nice touch. the restaurant itself is small, but very intimate in the decor. also, there is courtyard seating and it is very new orleansesque.lovethe place.
