cezan burak has been my favorite chef on social media due to his unique and outstanding dishes he makes. so how could we miss his restaurant visit when in turkey. we went to the main branch in atlier. theplacewas super crowded with waiting for 10 mins and it was worth the wait. the food was so good. we ordered the mixed kebab and their famous meat platter. it was made live and it was so good. we loved the taste the flavour. we even had the assortrd appetizer. just like the food the people were so friendly and staff was outstanding. loved it. it was worth the hype.

perfect food and excellent service, i loved the way they host you in and help you with the orders!
they are funny, friendly, helping, and entertaining.
the food was something else in this world, it is my favoriteplacein istanbul till now! the spices, the meat, the rice, everything was mouthwatering!

atmosphere: busy, crowded and noisy
service: poor
order: different orders we were a big group of people.
presentation: normal
taste: poor. meat was over tenderized to make it soft to a point it lost the taste.
portion: normal
price: very high and dramatically over priced for the taste, service, commercial treatment you get.

i find theplaceway too overrated and too expensive for the poor quality you get.

i love thisplaceso much! the food, mixed bbq platter and lamp chops and appetizers were delicious in every way! i loved it although it was quite expensive, i would love to come back! the waiters were so nice and friendly especially ferhat, if you go there ask for him! do give theplacea try its worth the hype although i waited 2 hours to meet burak i did not see him which was sad but hopefully next time inshallah when i come back!

the waiters had such a bad attitude that we had to leave theplacewithout trying any food
the food looks great but the waiting staff and chefs look dirty so we did not want to take any risk
i personally would not recommend it if you care about hygiene and service

there's a lot of hype about thisplaceon instagram however in my honest opinion, it doesn't live up to expectations. in fact, we were so disappointed that we wanted to leave asap. theplaceis packed. and i mean packed. there's always a crowd. it feels like all the middle eastern tourists come here for lunch. i think theplacehad more tourists than locals. i don't have anything against tourists but you can easily see that the hype is for them and not the locals. its too noisy and it seems like everything is in a rush. i thought the prices would be mediocre, but everything was so expensive. i mean, why charge 8 tl for a small glass of ayran? anways...i ordered pistacchio kebab and my friend got a begendi kebab. both of them were very standard. especially the begendi was so bitter, we thought that either the eggplants were dead or there was a ton of lemon zest inside. the hummus was average and the eggplant salad was nothing special. oh and they get your name after youplacethe order and bring a large sized pide with your name on it. ours came at the end of the meal. it was cold, dry and not tasty at all. we also had a kunefe at the end. there was nothing different about it. i can easily show you several cheaper and better options. the only thing we liked was the waiter being kind. he served us well and was helpful and chatty. other than that, i'd not go to thisplaceagain...and unfortunately, i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. i'm truly sorry about having had this opinion but all that stuff on instagram seems like its for show. go to anotherplaceif you want unforgettable kebabs.

we flew all the way to try thisplaceand it definitely rose to our expectations.
their food is a must try, i loved their way of presenting appetisers for us to select from.
i also loved the hospitality, they were very helpful and friendly and they took very good care of us.

we had high expectation for thisplacespecially after recommendations from relatives and friends. however after paying it a visit in ramadan, it wasn’t what we expected and in particular for the price they charged us.

1, theplacewas so cramped with tables and people that you couldn’t even breath or find proper seating.
2, the food was okay but nothing special. since we went for iftar, we were offered one quantity of each type which i was quite surprised and also the food took ages to be served.
3, desserts were nothing special basic kunafa with several pieces of watermelon and sweet melon for 4 people.
4, there was only one wc to cater for the whole restaurant and most of the time it was packed. for aplacewith that size, i would have presumed they would have several wc’s.

i will probably go to a different restaurant next time having now known that i can get the same food and quality at a cheaper price but ultimately with a piece of mind. i am writing this review with a fat migraine.

so thisplaceis the reason we flew to istanbul. burak has been my husband’s cooking inspiration for a while now and when we had a short break we decided to go and try to meet him. we got to the restaurant early around 3-4pm to avoid people traffic. best decision ever because on seating we saw the man himself who came over to say hello and meet our daughter. he took the cutest pictures with us despite being very tired that day. the staff, the shisha and the food was just amazing. we will go by here everytime we go to istanbul. we ordered the lamb cooked in salt in the over and after a spectacular fire show at our table we dug in and we were not disappointed. great atmosphere, great food and great prices!

we had rly high expectations since theplaceis very famous especially for lebanese people. we heard abt it and how the food is special and tasty
unfortunately we hated thisplaceand will never come back again when in istanbul
we were 6 people, none of us liked the food
we ordered 1 plate ( kofta with cheese and bread ) we couldn't taste it!! the smell was horrible
hummus had a weird taste, labne with mint was nt bad as well as stuffed chicken cooked in salt paste , the show was gd

service is really bad and slow! food is normal i dont know what the fuss is all about!placeis over crowded it took them almost 40 minutes to bring our plates! portion is not really that bad and taste is ordinary normal! overall, i believe the hype is not worth it and the waiters arent really that friendly! prices are expensive a little with respect to everything!

we heard a lot about this place, located in ateler area, we were very excited to try the various dishes from the famous chef burak’s menu, we were starving so we ordered a lot of dishes, we were pleasantly surprised with every dish, everything was full of flavours, we loved the turkish tabouleh, the kebabs were just amazingly tender and tasty. theplaceis constantly full and you have to wait outside for a minimum of 30 mns to get a table as they don’t take reservations, but it was definitely worth the wait, if you ever visit istanbul, you must eat at this restaurant.
