hattiesburg gem. thisplaceis off the chart delicious! the food is amazing, the atmosphere is great & service is wonderful! love that they give you the same huge portions even if you order to go! the "special" cheesecake that was served on valentines day was by far the best i've ever had from anywhere! my favoriteplacefor great food!

best meal for miles around!. just ate at cotton-blues! what an experience! had been to nola for 5 days and ate all kinds of food in the top restaurants there! they paled in comparison to the food that cotton-blues served and for a 1/4 of the price! the service by ryan was outstanding. the food was hot, fresh, well presented and just plain ole' yummy! i travel a lot and i can easily say, this was one of the best meals that i have eaten out in years! wish thisplacewas near my home!!!

very good. we went on a wednesday afternoon and there were many other diners, but the dining room wasn't crowded. theplaceis really big. the menu is varied and interesting.
i ordered the blackened redfish oscar. as you can see from the photo oscar topping was loaded with crabmeat. very tasty. the green beans were also delicious. the mashed potatoes were not great, a little dry and bland. but the other food was so good, who cares? my f-i-l ordered the green tomato and blueberry streusel just to see what it was like. you couldn't taste the tomatoes. it was good.
the service was spot on. or server checked on us enough without being overbearing. she was knowledge and friendly.
we live 9 hours from here, but if you live nearby go. very good.

on our way to new orleans. wanted a unique localplaceto stop for lunch. pleasantly surprised. thisplaceis very good. fresh baked bread. service was good. prime rib sandwich was good. baked cookie dessert was very good. this is a good stop

happy anniversary cotton blues! i was one of the first customers to walk through the doors of cotton blues two years ago. as a african american female that go out alone, it is important for me to go to places that i can feel safe and welcomed! cotton blues owner, manager, chef, pastry chef and servers make me feel just that! cotton blues is a wonderfulplaceto eat, drink, listen to live music and greet and meet others! i have met many new friends at cotton blues that look nothing like me! if i've had a bad day the owner & manager knows because they ask ! if the chef hear i'm there he will come speak to me! if i want something special from the pastry chef i call ahead and by the time i get to cotton blues, it's ready! if you like fresh never frozen food cotton blues is for you! this restaurant has no microwave ! cook to order! i know for a fact the owner of cotton blues would never allow his staff to treat others unjust! i am part of the family at cotton blues and i thank them for always making me feel that way! it is my hope that all people will give cotton clues a try, i promise you will not be disappointed, you will not be treated unjust because of the color of your skin, you will get great service and good food!

maybe an off day?. i was disappointed. good ideas here and i love the decor, however the execution was off. there was a large reception takingplacewhich may have thrown off regular dining service. our waitress was distracted and inattentive, although we were her only table. the bread service was interesting and unique and flavors were good, but i had to stop someone to get them to explain components. the success of crab cakes benedict is in the timing and mine were over cooked and cold. they were also over salted and spiced which threw off the delicate crab meat and the egg, in contrast to the cold, tasteless grits. my sons steak was excellent and perfectly cooked but covered in a cheese sauce which was congealed. we were starving and had things to do so it was not worth finding the server to complain about it. the vibe was just odd overall. restaurants have days like this. we will try again because the menu is intriguing.and i hope this was a one off.

was not impressed with thisplaceat all. they attempt to be "classy" restaurant, but yet they fail. there were rotting chicken bones on the deck, cigarette ash/butts everywhere. my crab cake sandwich was overpriced and made me feel terrible afterwards. i ordered crawfish mashed potatoes and it only coriander one very minuscule crawfish. the workers were all gathered around the bar and tv avoiding responsibilities when our waiter could have been waiting on us. it took 35 minutes for the food to come out in the almost empty restaurant. don't even get me started on how expensive the alcohol was. anyways, my boyfriend and i will not be visiting here again.

so impressed. the food is way expensive and the bar is a little underwhelming when it comes to beer but i still give thisplacetwo thumbs up. i got snapper in some crawfish sauce with some amazing turnip greens. i was in heaven. we are looking forward to going back

best in the burg. cotton blues is my favoriteplaceto go out to eat in hattiesburg. it is unique for a number of reasons. the dishes offered and the ambiance are both great. the service is always fantastic and the food is great! a few of my favorites are the honey pecan crusted oysters, the rabbit tenderloin eggrolls and the crabcake for starters. the crabcake is filled with crab not too much bread crumbs. as far as a main course, the pan fried redfish was delicious this past weekend. and if you just want a burger, you cant go wrong here it was very good at lunch. honestly, every meal i have had there has been very very good. i've also been to brunch there a handful of times and its very good, plus you get bottomless mimosas with a starter!

i live in atlanta and have to travel to mississippi and louisiana on occasion and this is an excellent spot in hattiesburg, ms! i've been here 3 times already and will be returning for sure!!! great atmosphere! excellent food! and outstanding service! i love this place!

my husband & i went here for our date night after looking at the menu together. we decided to sit on the patio & really enjoyed it. there are 2 tvs & these great over sized chairs that could easily seat two people. we ordered the cheese curds as the appetizer & they came with two dipping sauces. one was a mustard i really liked & the other was a sweeter sauce but when combined with the mustard sauce it all went together so well! we mostly got the cheese curds to see what they are, pretty much fried cheese but it was tangy & had a good chew to them. let me throw in all the dish ware is so cute! anyways back to the food...
my husband ordered the salmon salad & he really enjoyed it. he was wondering with the blueberries would it be too sweet but he loved it. my order was the pulled pork pancakes first off let me say it's a huge dish, two people could share it. three gigantic pancakes & a layer of delicious pulled pork between each pancake. it came with a syrup that was amazing! i couldn't tell if it was the pancakes or the syrup but one had a great taste of lemon zest in it. this really brought out all the flavors, it would have been a little rich but that lemon zest made it perfect. this is way better than chicken & waffles! my husband had my braised greens & he rave about them all the way home, i order a side of the mac and cheese to go with my pancakes,. this mac & cheese was so good, it was elbow noodles with a breadcrumb topping made with fresh local cheese! it also had mushrooms in it & green onions on top, i'm not a fan of either but i ate that entire bowl! thisplacewas wonderful, i want us to come on a sunday for the bottomless mimosa's & bloody mary's.

outstanding - excellent food and service. we stopped here on way back from dallas to pensacola based on reviews. we were not disappointed.......greeted when stepped in front door, quick to get table, but ate at bar because of atmosphere. the bartender, jordan, was very polite and awesome - asked us our names, discussed daily specials and made food recommendations. from the fresh tasty bread with 3 dipping options, to the pecan crusted oysters and the southern fried egg rolls, then to the shrimp crepes and then finished with the homemade cheese cake topped with mango-habernaro sauce, we were delighted!!!! the manager, molly, was just lovely and accommodated our special request as well. awesome place, will go back! if traveling through, a definite stop just a few minutes off the interstate! a mustplaceto go!

my favoriteplacein town! i've never had anything that wasn't amazing. the short rib is my favorite but the shrimp and grits, brunch crepe, and cheese curds are all a close second. i would like to see a better beer selection & the staff could be more personable. but overall the food quality and menu couldn't be better and that's what matters!

best brunch and desserts in town!. by far, the best sunday brunch in town. the menu offers great variety for a good price. the bar staff is outstanding, jordan, drew and robert offer great service, would prefer to sit at the bar rather than a table because of this. atmosphere is great, especially the open view to pastry chef sean's delicious creations! if you haven't tried thisplaceyet, hurry!!
