coral is one of the restaurants in hotel ocean pearl which is one of the best hotels in the city. this place is decent to visit with amazing ambience and have a calm dinner. food is fine, not too great. this place has a live music show usually on sundays and it's not rock music but it's enjoyable. good range of cocktails and mocktails available here. it's a place suitable for family or office lunch/dinner parties.

considering mangalore standards this place definitely stands out. food is reasonably priced and i have been eating at this place quite regularly. average ambience, good location and great food. they have a sea food speciality which does not fail to impress.

the place is extremely overrated. visited the place with a lot of expectations but i was extremely disappointed with the quality of food served. i will definitely not visit this place again and would recommend foodies to go elsewhere as there are much much better places to go to for a satisfying lunch/dinner. the only positive aspect of this place is the ambience, which is really good.

i visited this restaurant on new year's eve with my family. while there was a queue waiting, it was not long before we were let inside and shown to our table.
while first impressions were quite good, with live music and good ambience, i eventually felt that the place is overrated for what it serves.
the chicken manchow soup was quite good and tasted a little different for what i've normally had in other places.
coming to the starters, the chicken lasuni kabab. while tasty, i wasn't really impressed with the way the chicken was cooked, a tad too soft for my liking, i felt there was something wrong with it.
for the mains, we ordered hyderabadi dum biryani, i was quite suspicious at how quick the service was at this point. we hardly waited five minutes before being served. the biryani failed to impress me. the rice was clumpy and dry and i could tell that it was not fresh. which explained the quick service.
overall, if you are looking for a fine dining experience i would recommend that you choose from the many other choices available. i don't think i will be coming to this place again.

very good place with live music. loved the food. the seafood is really good and the squid was simply amazing with its flavours. main course was filly with sufficient portions.. well maintained ambience with diligent staff and respectful service. a recommended restaurant when landed in m'lore

i was living at the ocean pearl and took a take away from coral. the staff and the manager are very friendly. the ambience is very friendly and meant for family groups. the sukka prawns with beer dosa was heavenly. the coconut infusion was fresh, the spices were well cooked and the balance was perfect. the beer dosas were light and soft. the masala fried tiger prawns were a delight. absolutely soft and perfectly cooked with a spicy undertone to keep your taste buds satisfied.

had been to this place for my birthday with family and it made my day. lovely ambience with soulful live music of the golden era. good food and service. and it's not too hard on your pocket too. would love to visit again.

very good place with live music. loved the food. had ordered drums of heaven and haryali kebab as starters with nan and veg kadai as main course. ambience is good. kudos to the singer with excellent voice. the choice of music that was sung was also good. fast service. the staff was polite and courteous. will definitely come back

this restaurant in ocean pearl, the big building near the pvs circle. the restaurant has nice interiors, nice location. the place is known for seafood. it is delicious.

this is a restaurant not worth the status it holds. if you want to have a good dining experience we have a lot of other places to choose from. the only plus is the ambience that it provides and nothing else is worth the money. the service is just pathetic. coming to the food it is decent but not worth the premium price tag. the consistency is not at all maintained. we've seen few good days but majority of our visits were not that great. the price is quite high for what you get. good for just a one time experience

the restaurant is located in ocean pearl serves vegan as well as non veg ambience is good however service is really pathetic for a restaurant of such calibre food tastes alright not all that great as one expects it to be but still a authentic restaurant to go out with friends although relatively pricey compared to other restaurants which serve better than coral does for a comparatively cheaper price and i advice you still try this although it isn't bad menu is decent and nothing extravagant !

ocean pearl is an elite hotel in mangalore. the multi - cuisine restaurant under this hotels belt is coral. the restuarant offers live music too, a bonus when you are celebrating a birthday.
on a recent visit, my friends and i ordered for white sauce chicken pasta, chicken steak in red wine and chicken stronganoff, each one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the cosy ambience.
the restuarant is also famous for the various food festivals it hosts, as it offers various flavours to the foodies in mangalore.
