imagine a typical foodie from delhi, arriving in the city of mangalore and seeing some good south indian dishes (of which i am not such a great fan) having his first meal, with mixed expectations. coral jazz is that good place to hang out and have a few beers, but food taste is something not to boast that much of, though did a decent job. had prawns ghee roast, chicken tikka and fish curry. for all those going, would recommend poultry than seafood.

great ambience and service. the seafood here is delicious! food quality and service was exceptional. i had tawa pomfret and tiger prawns masala with mangalore style dosa. keep up the great work!

accidentally i bumped into this place today, but was slightly disappointed with the food. on the other hand i was highly impressed about the hospitality, staff and the ambience of the place. not knowing what to order we decided to stick with fish thali and some good old prawns, but the prawns were extremely high priced when compared to the quantity. the food was delivered after long and unfortunately most of the items in the plate were cold, including the majestic bangda. the rice quantity was less and we had to pay extra to get more rice. overall the flavours in the plate were also not great and for 200 plus taxes the fish thali did no justification. i am not very sure with other items in the menu, but whatever we ordered was highly priced and not up to the mark. i would not recommend it if you want to taste some authentic flavours.

biryani was a tad dry and laccha paratha should not be using maida ( refined flour )

food quality was good, quantity was less more then mutton gravy was there, got complementary gulab jamun, pickle and onion salad which was impressive

it has no flavors and meat didn't look fresh

the good
1. garlic naan: the garlic naan was terrific, it was served hot and the aroma from it was mesmerising
2. neer dosa: a mangalorean icon, when made properly it melts in your mouth and this one did.
3. chicken ghee roast: i am a little biased towards ghee roast, it is one of my favourites and one in coral did impress.
4. kashi halwa: the kashi halwa was fantastic, it was served hot and fresh with pistachios sprinkled on top.
5. rabdi jalebi: i was the best for the last, eating those crispy and wafer thin jalebis with rabdi is not something anyone would forget soon.

the bad
1. caeser salad: caeser would be rolling in his grave for naming this sad excuse of a salad after him. the lettuce was older than me and chicken was chewy and tasteless
2. mutton stew: it was extremely bland.

went for a dinner on a very busy saturday night, the waiters were smart and prompt and food was served without any delays.

delivered a wrong order instead of murg kalonjee tikka. definitely done intentionally thats very disappointing. this is the only place i order from but i think i need to find a better restaurant. delivering something which i dint even order shows lack of respect to customers.

the noodles and biriyany was plane… absolutely no taste .
mutton was good tho.
