our regular weekend food spot if we don't have anything special in mind. gr8 food, coolambiencewith bright lightings and cool music. good for official parties. little bit costly. service is good. never try their experimental food festival dishes they announce every month or so - it sucks.

was holidaying in mangalore and heard that this is one of the best restaurants in the city so decided to give this place a try.it's located right in the heart of the city and we went here for lunch.theambiencewas really comfortable and inviting but we were extremely disappointed with the service. it was way too slow and they took eons to serve us our food.the food was great though and we really enjoyed the tawa fried kingfish and the rawa fried silverfish.the chicken fried rice was decent.tasted the curd rice too which is a mangalorean specialty and i was amazed to find out how a simple dish like curd rice could taste so good.enjoyed my meal here and would definitely stop here if i visit this city again. look forward to quicker and better service though!

to be honest theambienceis better than food, and also they have a singer who keeps you entertained while you enjoy your food, comming to food it's a bit over priced and the food quality can be improved to match the price.

i went with my wife to taste meenu gammathu.
service andambienceis really good, staff also very friendly. but the food means thali is not worth for money.

the food they served were all mediocre and theambiencewas just alright. i would strongly urge you guys to go with anjal "naked fry" as they refer to that dish and pomfret masala fry. really liked their veg stir fry with oyster sauce. overall experience was ok.

greatambienceand service. the seafood here is delicious! food quality and service was exceptional. i had tawa pomfret and tiger prawns masala with mangalore style dosa. keep up the great work!

accidentally i bumped into this place today, but was slightly disappointed with the food. on the other hand i was highly impressed about the hospitality, staff and theambienceof the place. not knowing what to order we decided to stick with fish thali and some good old prawns, but the prawns were extremely high priced when compared to the quantity. the food was delivered after long and unfortunately most of the items in the plate were cold, including the majestic bangda. the rice quantity was less and we had to pay extra to get more rice. overall the flavours in the plate were also not great and for 200 plus taxes the fish thali did no justification. i am not very sure with other items in the menu, but whatever we ordered was highly priced and not up to the mark. i would not recommend it if you want to taste some authentic flavours.

mangalore has many beautiful places and many good hotels too. one among them is the ocean pearl. 💕 fromambienceto food it's amazing and a really comfortable place for a stay as well. they have separate floors for non veg and vegetarian food. we tried the pomfret fish, kalmi kabab, mutton biriyani, ending our meal with some halwa 😍😍, i couldn't take pics of the other dishes since i couldn't resist eating 😋😋. among all of them, i loved the pomfret fish and halwa the most 🤤🤤. so when you visit mangalore and crave some good food, this is the one for you 😍😍

pretty satisfactory food and service!

we visited the coral restaurant in ocean pearl hotel in mangalore for a family dinner. there is plenty of space.

a complimentary welcome drink was served.

here is a review of what we ordered:

1. beverage:

fresh lime soda - it was served chilled and was quite good.

2. soup:

hot and sour chicken soup - served hot, it was thick and delicious.

3. main course:

non-veg platter - it was a chicken platter with types of chicken grill varieties, as hariyali, malai, sheekh, etc. although it was tasty, it was not what we were looking forward to. we expected a mix on non-veg varieties like lamb, chicken, fish, etc. for a price of over rs. 700/- one would expect better.

indian breads - the butter naan, kulcha and neer dosa were quite good.

chicken hyderabadi - it was pretty good. the rogan josh was quite ok.

4. dessert:

the caramel custard was good. we also ordered for jalebi-rabdi. the jalebis were good, but the rabdi was not all that great - it had lumps and was dripping as if diluted.

the staff is friendly but some of them need more training. free valet parking is available.

theambienceis good and there is live singing, but proper pest control needs to be done. there was a cockroach on the sofa which crawled down from the wall. when we informed the manager/supervisor, he said that pest control had just been done!!! ahemmm!!!

this is a wonderful fine-dining restaurant in mangalore with an array of cuisines to choose from. another hallmark of the place is regular food festivals, in which they offer delicacies from one style of cuisine and i must say they are something. happened to visit twice for these, one beong baloch food festival and another biryani festival. food was exceptional on borh the occasion.

the staff is courteous and well informed.ambienceof the place attracts family outings and is often quite except maybe for rush hours.

a higly recommended place to visit for a good lunch or dinner.

we ordered a lot more food but our hunger overpowered our photography! nevertheless we enjoyed every bit of our seafood thali. we ordered a huge pomfret , the size was shown to us prior to making it and it was cooked to perfection.... the service is great andambiencetoo... the sea food thali consisted of fish curry, fish fry, crab masala , prawn ghee roast , rasam , boiled rice, and dry fish chutney.

theambienceis nice and the food tastes good. the staff are very polite. one of the best hotels do visit in mangalore. if you're in mangaluru and looking for good hotels then can prefer this.

ocean pearl is one of most reputed & famous hotel in mangalore at the heart of city !! deir restaurant "coral" which serves great food with lots of good varieties & greatambience!! staffs are too polite and at oua service !! when i was der balochistan food fest was going on !! gr8 hats off fr d 🇵🇰 food !! n thanx for ocean pearl who made dem to eat through a food fest !! will be back again !!

a family dineambiencewith a good menu. if you are looking at celebrating any special occasion then i would recommend this place. the menu is a bit pricey but the food is good
