was holidaying in mangalore and heard that this is one of the best restaurants in the city so decided to give this place a try.it's located right in the heart of the city and we went here for lunch.the ambience was really comfortable and inviting but we were extremely disappointed with the service. it was way too slow and they took eons to serve us our food.thefoodwas great though and we really enjoyed the tawa fried kingfish and the rawa fried silverfish.the chicken fried rice was decent.tasted the curd rice too which is a mangalorean specialty and i was amazed to find out how a simple dish like curd rice could taste so good.enjoyed my meal here and would definitely stop here if i visit this city again. look forward to quicker and better service though!

to be honest the ambience is better than food, and also they have a singer who keeps you entertained while you enjoy your food, comming tofoodit's a bit over priced and thefoodquality can be improved to match the price.

service and ambience is really good, staff also very friendly. but thefoodmeans thali is not worth for money.

a nice place for a quite meal... slightly better maintained than sagar ratna downstairs. thefoodis almost the same though. the indian dishes are all fine, oriental not so great. they used to have this apple pie for dessert that was pretty good... that doesn't appear on the menu here though.

coral is one of the restaurants in ocean pearl which serves genuine north indian food.  we were there for a small get together. the service andfoodare genuine and yes! one can order an actual dal makhni in south india which tastes the same. 

the manager is humble and takes care of the customers. we ordered few rotis, dal makhni, chicken tikka masala & a biryani which reached our expectations. would recommend anyone who are in mangalore missing north indianfoodor someone who craves north indian food.

thefoodthey served were all mediocre and the ambience was just alright. i would strongly urge you guys to go with anjal "naked fry" as they refer to that dish and pomfret masala fry. really liked their veg stir fry with oyster sauce. overall experience was ok.

located at the heart of the city, a good place when you crave for variety offoodat the same time. consistency in taste is something this place misses, but quality is never compromised here. hakka noodles has marked a place in my taste bud.

imagine a typical foodie from delhi, arriving in the city of mangalore and seeing some good south indian dishes (of which i am not such a great fan) having his first meal, with mixed expectations. coral jazz is that good place to hang out and have a few beers, butfoodtaste is something not to boast that much of, though did a decent job. had prawns ghee roast, chicken tikka and fish curry. for all those going, would recommend poultry than seafood.

great ambience and service. the seafood here is delicious!foodquality and service was exceptional. i had tawa pomfret and tiger prawns masala with mangalore style dosa. keep up the great work!

accidentally i bumped into this place today, but was slightly disappointed with the food. on the other hand i was highly impressed about the hospitality, staff and the ambience of the place. not knowing what to order we decided to stick with fish thali and some good old prawns, but the prawns were extremely high priced when compared to the quantity. thefoodwas delivered after long and unfortunately most of the items in the plate were cold, including the majestic bangda. the rice quantity was less and we had to pay extra to get more rice. overall the flavours in the plate were also not great and for 200 plus taxes the fish thali did no justification. i am not very sure with other items in the menu, but whatever we ordered was highly priced and not up to the mark. i would not recommend it if you want to taste some authentic flavours.

the good
1. garlic naan: the garlic naan was terrific, it was served hot and the aroma from it was mesmerising
2. neer dosa: a mangalorean icon, when made properly it melts in your mouth and this one did.
3. chicken ghee roast: i am a little biased towards ghee roast, it is one of my favourites and one in coral did impress.
4. kashi halwa: the kashi halwa was fantastic, it was served hot and fresh with pistachios sprinkled on top.
5. rabdi jalebi: i was the best for the last, eating those crispy and wafer thin jalebis with rabdi is not something anyone would forget soon.

the bad
1. caeser salad: caeser would be rolling in his grave for naming this sad excuse of a salad after him. the lettuce was older than me and chicken was chewy and tasteless
2. mutton stew: it was extremely bland.

went for a dinner on a very busy saturday night, the waiters were smart and prompt andfoodwas served without any delays.

food reached after 1 hour 15 minutes because of the confusion at the restaurant delivery and wrong bill number by mr bhat who was given clear instructions from my end .. also he did not pack wheat lacha paranta though i told him senior citizens not well maida cannot be eaten .. be saod sure no problem and did the opposite plus sent thefood1 hour late ..cold a d spoilt .. calling them fbe delivery of coral the person who picks the delivery calls keeps keeping the phone down and does nothing and most of the times the reception keeps ringing them and they don't pick the calls and made the delivery boy also wait for 30 minutes .. horrible service .. shameful despite me calling from another city and giving them instructions in writing and phone

food was good. quantity of thefoodwas good. malai paneer, the paneer was hard. paneer tikka masala was a bit salty.

one of my favourite restaurants in mangalore. i have been dining at this place from a long time. thefoodi ordered today was a big disappointment. chicken in murgh rezala was overcooked. the subzi makhzadi seekh has absolutely no flavour and was the worst starter i ever had upto date.
