so i come here for the first time and it was my bday dinner. the service started off well with a soup which was the best out of everything we ate.weorderedof chicken wrapped in banana leaf chicken satay the starters took very very long to come. the starters were good but wasn't worth the wait. then weorderedfor paneer kuthran and rava chicken punjabi aapam and kulcha. the aapam and kulcha were very good and soft. now getting to the curries. both the curries had similar flavour and different colour. the paneer had some capsicum. all this took so so long to arrive. i was very unhappy with the wait but otherwise a nice place for family dinners.

coral is one of the restaurants in ocean pearl which serves genuine north indian food.  we were there for a small get together. the service and food are genuine and yes! one can order an actual dal makhni in south india which tastes the same. 

the manager is humble and takes care of the customers. weorderedfew rotis, dal makhni, chicken tikka masala & a biryani which reached our expectations. would recommend anyone who are in mangalore missing north indian food or someone who craves north indian food.

accidentally i bumped into this place today, but was slightly disappointed with the food. on the other hand i was highly impressed about the hospitality, staff and the ambience of the place. not knowing what to order we decided to stick with fish thali and some good old prawns, but the prawns were extremely high priced when compared to the quantity. the food was delivered after long and unfortunately most of the items in the plate were cold, including the majestic bangda. the rice quantity was less and we had to pay extra to get more rice. overall the flavours in the plate were also not great and for 200 plus taxes the fish thali did no justification. i am not very sure with other items in the menu, but whatever weorderedwas highly priced and not up to the mark. i would not recommend it if you want to taste some authentic flavours.

iorderedfor paneer tikka masala and got chicken tikka masala. also the order was delayed a lot. after waiting so much we didn’t get what we ordered. also the kalmi kebab was not well done.

one of my favourite restaurants in mangalore. i have been dining at this place from a long time. the food iorderedtoday was a big disappointment. chicken in murgh rezala was overcooked. the subzi makhzadi seekh has absolutely no flavour and was the worst starter i ever had upto date.

noodles given was very soggy and manchow soup tasted bad was a plastic taste. even chicken lollipop . haveorderedearlier, however last evening experience was really horrible.

we visited the coral restaurant in ocean pearl hotel in mangalore for a family dinner. there is plenty of space.

a complimentary welcome drink was served.

here is a review of what we ordered:

1. beverage:

fresh lime soda - it was served chilled and was quite good.

2. soup:

hot and sour chicken soup - served hot, it was thick and delicious.

3. main course:

non-veg platter - it was a chicken platter with types of chicken grill varieties, as hariyali, malai, sheekh, etc. although it was tasty, it was not what we were looking forward to. we expected a mix on non-veg varieties like lamb, chicken, fish, etc. for a price of over rs. 700/- one would expect better.

indian breads - the butter naan, kulcha and neer dosa were quite good.

chicken hyderabadi - it was pretty good. the rogan josh was quite ok.

4. dessert:

the caramel custard was good. we alsoorderedfor jalebi-rabdi. the jalebis were good, but the rabdi was not all that great - it had lumps and was dripping as if diluted.

the staff is friendly but some of them need more training. free valet parking is available.

the ambience is good and there is live singing, but proper pest control needs to be done. there was a cockroach on the sofa which crawled down from the wall. when we informed the manager/supervisor, he said that pest control had just been done!!! ahemmm!!!

silent and subtle interiors they had..very peaceful..customer service good and warm hospitality..we tried their fish thali which was topnotch!squid,prawns,king fish were tasted fresh n spiced so well n tasty that drooled us to order one more.alsoorderednorth thali as well which all the veggy side dishes.tomato soup was on another level to explain the smooth texture of the soup.these two thalis are must try!

guys!! this place serves real quality food.. we hadorderedfor kalmi kabab, murgh malai n chicken biryani.. biryani quantity was good.. kalmi kabab was not like kalmi kabab but it was still good.. overall v liked it.. n d litchi juice they served was tropicana litchi delight which i had expected more from dem..

weordereda lot more food but our hunger overpowered our photography! nevertheless we enjoyed every bit of our seafood thali. weordereda huge pomfret , the size was shown to us prior to making it and it was cooked to perfection.... the service is great and ambience too... the sea food thali consisted of fish curry, fish fry, crab masala , prawn ghee roast , rasam , boiled rice, and dry fish chutney.

awesome place and food.... especially we regularly visit this place for fish thaali.. the fish tastes very fresh. quantity is good as well .. the staff is really courteous and helpful... chicken biryani.. naan.. butter chicken.. gobi manchurian.. weorderedwere really good... its a great place to visit

had visited today ... weorderedfish thali .... it’s was brilliant... for 300 rs, der is anjal fry, prawn , crab , a vegetable..rice, papad ,.. which is a bargain for 300 rs...good quantity of food...throughly enjoyed ...

hadorderedsilver fish rava fry, kane masala fry, jalapeño poppers, squash, fried rice, lemon soda ,egg ghee roast, sea food risotto,paneer butter masala , mushroom masala with butter naan n ma most fav litchi with icecream 😍😍😍😍

its one place i do try to visit once atleast on ma visit to manglore 😘😘😘

i hadorderedpollo curry patha shrimps , mutton biryani and lamb steak with sauted vegetables , the pollo currypatha shrimps was not that great , i did rate that dish a 5/10 the lamb steak was okay 6/10 and the mutton biryani was good but the tadka was a little less , i did rate it a 8/10
