best fish tacos i've had on maui to date, a mix of mahi mahi and ono (wahoo for us mainlanders) the decor is fun, eating on surfboard tables and benches and getting to share the experience with other diners is part of the fun. there is a line up and a bit of a wait but for good reason,greatstaff aeemed very appreciative of our visit and actually thanked us for coming.

this review and rating is based on this type of
restaurant. you order at the front cashier and then pick a table where they bring you the food. the menu was full of fish options and other. the calamari was tender and not over cooked (which can unfortunately be quite common at many places), the coconut shrimp and thai pineapple dipping sauce was delicious, fish tacos were delicious, while the plain cheeseburger and remaining fish dishes were as expected with no surprises. the menu commented on the famous coleslaw, which although good, i was not sure why it was “famous”. service was fast and friendly, cost was reasonable and ambiance wasgreatif you want to make some noise and be with a groups of friends just have agreatbite to eat.

the best fish tacos in kehei.greatstaff also. we also had the fish and chips which were the best fish and chips in kehei also. do not expect the usual heavy battered fish, instead it is done more in a very well seasoned light breading. two kinds of fish are included in the basket and that is ono and mahi-mahi. the fries were a little lackluster but not bad. they were the regular shoestring type. we also had the seafood chowder which was excellent although a little bit salty.

delicious. must eat here!! this is a must for anyone in the vicinity. the fish tacos are to die for. we went twice while in maui.greatservice. clean place. wonderful food. i also signed up to urbanspoon just to give this restaurant a positive review.

fresh and fantastic!. this place is as amazing as everyone says it is. i would add though that it would begreatto get 1 fish taco for a lower price, perhaps this is an option already and i just don't know about it though. call it a canadian size if you like.

fish tacos are large and delicious! order them with a bowl of the brown rice and eat your tacos over the rice to catch all the food that drops from your tacos. then add some chalula to the rice and you have agreatdish to eat or to take home. highly recommend this restaurant.

my husband and i tried the "fish taco mountain"...delicious! it's everything you find on the fish tacos heaped over brown rice (minus the tortilla)..if you're someone who isn't a fan of the messy taco experience or gluten free, this is for you! it's also big enough to share or take some home for left overs..the employees were also very nice..we'll definitely be back.

update (2017):
my husband and i have dine here regularly since my first post and they have been consistent since then. i generally still order the "fish taco mountain"...my husband has tried the tacos and a few of the salads and has not been disappointed.

i also love that they have a fewgreatchildren's menu choices. i am not a fan of the typical breaded chicken nuggets or mac and cheese fare you generally see on children's menus.. my son loves the grilled mahi mahi available in kids size.

good fish tacos,greatseafood chowder and the best onion rings i've ever had!!! the batter is super crunchy and light and not greasy at all! we were in kihei for 4 days and we ate here twice. no disappointments!

the place is off the hook! th best fish tacos and fish n chips we have ever had, hands down. this a must stop place for agreatmeal, andgreatservice where the hands on owner and staff take pride in their fresh food. they will also take the time to givegreatexplanations to the menu items. we will be back soon!

nice and easy food!. this is agreatlunch or light dinner spot. it's a walk up and order place, take a seat and your food shows up in an appropriate amount of time, indicating they cooked it just for you. we had one order of blackened ono on brown rice plus one order of their fish tacos, both dishes were delicious. it's a bummer they won't sell you just one taco as that would have been plenty for me. of course, it wasn't like i was suffering as i finished off the second because it was so good!!
