the food andservicewere great. the restaurant just raised the corkage fee from $25 to $35. this is a 40% increase to open your own bottle of wine. pure greed. there are quite a few other great steak restaurants nearby that don’t have such an excessive charge. i have a big personal wine collection which frankly is better wine than the restaurant serves. guess i will get my steaks at other places.

best steaks!. chops city grill in bonita springs has a loveley dining room and bar with an open kitchen and i try to get to this restaurant each time i visit. my last visit was 20 december 2011 and as usual, theservicewas friendly, knowlegable, and accomodatiung to a food allergy. the steaks for three of us were cooked to perfection and the side dishes were fabulous-i love the corn creme brulee and truffle fries. the one disappointment was that the asparagus had been overcooked but this really doesn't take away from the rest of the meal and i plan to be back in march!

don't go to this place. i don't mind paying a high price menu price, but this place falls far short of many places for steak etc. water dripped from the ceiling on 2 (out of 6 of us) and had to shift on the table to miss it. theservicewe poor - probably because the waitress know that 20% tip/gratuity was built into the bill. never going back. cheers. rick

wonderful steaks and food; stopped going due to service.... i loved their food but after they try to pull a bait-and-switch with a steak (no joke) and theirservicebecame rude (circa 2006), we never went back. of course this was years ago and a lot has changed. maybe one day i will venture back that way. i was insulted when they became like many other places with the "snowbird attitude" which primarily consisted of getting people in and out quickly. who cares how you treat them because there will always be more to take their place. they forgot some of us actually live here... year-round. i know, who would have thought? i would have to imagine this has changed. it was a shame because blue water bistro in coconut point opened up after we stopped going to chop's and i have always had great meals and greatservicethere.
