was here last nite for dinner. it is famous chain of hyatt for chinese cuisine.

i have visited there mumbai hyatt chinahousenumber of times. best time to visit mumbai ch is after 10.30pm.

ahd ch is on 2nd floor of hotel. resto is best in town in terms of decor, styling n setup. the best part is they have huge open kitchen with glass section n u can watch 2-3 young chinese chefs preparing food for u.

service is very good, good staff n specially jasmin, he will help u guide u for your order.

we had soup-sichuan veg wonton in spicy broth. 5/5

one eggplant starter. it was like potato wedges , nothing new. 2/5

clay pot veg with sichuan chili sauce.3.5/5

fried rice 4/5.

best in d city.

(to old staff that was there in the opening of chinese: i love you guys, the old original chinahouseteam from the opening times and we all miss you a lot. i have a lot of memories here but sadly few of them are not so good now. hope to meet u guys altogether again if i at all get that luck.)

to whom it may concern,

this current rating is done regarding a visit a while ago. being a regular customer i am sad to see the restaurant business going up but service quality going down. i have been visiting chinahousethe fifth or sixth time since their opening and im upset to see that the whole teams has been shifted into different other sessions. all that is left is one nice guy who remembered us. others are cold faces who hardly cared about our needs. we had come to chinahouseexpecting that it would be a quiet place for us to have dinner as it usually has less customers on weekdays. that day the place was filled with good amount of people so we have requested to get a table away from the crowd so that we get some privacy. first the stewardess rewuested that we wait and she will ask for permission. she came back with a refusal saying that the session on the other side is closed. so in disappointment we have requested just to keep the ac slower becos boo was not keeping so well. she said that she will reduce it. 5mins later with customers sitting in around us, which made the whole place real noisy, she came back to serve other customer in the table next to us, we didnt figure that there was a big change in the ac so we asked and she replied saying that she did it alrdy, which we cant say anything becos we dont wna look like we are too demanding. we started deciding what to eat and here comes a steward in a suit asking us for our order. when asked questions regarding the japanese menu, he clearly have no idea of what is being served and had to check it up several times with the kitchen. i have no problem with that. but the idea of him expecting that i shud be able to decide right after him giving me unclear information was quite wrong to me. he said coldly but professionally if i am going to take time deciding then he will first take someone elses orders. we are like 'um ok'. so he went off and used a very different tone and spend a lot of time taking some other big business class foreigner customers with their order, patiently and warmly, the difference was clear. i guess cos we were in casuals and they were in formals? that only he would have known. the only thing that had saved this review from being a zero was that half way waiting, one of the stewards who recognises us showed up and greeted. so we flooded him with our needs and he fulfilled all of them without a single question!!!!! the seating area, the ac in that empty sitting area, water, small snack starters, everything. without a question! we told him how different the whole place has become and how much changes have been done regarding the service standards and staff arrangements. he was very apologetic and had really brought us back to heaven from hell.
for this passionate staff of yours i would love to give you guys a five star rating cos he really saved the whole restaurant cos this is one of the few places which i get to cure my home sick with nice people and service and food. however, im giving a two to raise awareness to the management about how new staffs are ruining customers' experience over here. i hope the management would instead of only putting all the best people to develop and settle new places, please also put efforts in replacing them with same passionate and well-mannered staffs in order to maintain the service quality you had from the beginning till the end. if not then at least train them to become one.

boo had made me a birthday party yesterday night at chinahouseand its the best birthday ever! (not only that boo sahil fernandes has been doing a perfext arrangement with the decor team and communicating with the hyatt team💕) the chinahouseteam has played a very big role throughout the whole time! a bit slow (just very very bit as i understand few dishes preparation time is long) but very good service😊 very warm and cheerful and helpful staff💕 a😱best part is awesome food for both non veg and vegetarian😋😋😋 as a chinese i would say they have really done a very good job in making the veg food taste authentic as well cos here in india with limited ingredients its quite hard to make good authentic veg food but you guys have done a really good job! no doubt in all 7 course there is one or two course which has to be a bit indianised but i still say i love them💕😱 good job china house👍 (rating: 4.5)

craving for some good chinese food??chinahouseis where you should visit.

i visited this place with my family for lunch. a perfect place where we could find food that would satiate every one's taste buds. good ambiance and amazing service would make you feel special. our server mr. bhagwati made sure we had the best dishes from the menu.

coming to the food, we had ordered vegetable noodle soup. it is same as veg. clear soup served at other places. dumplings and dimsums are a must have for any authentic chinese cuisine. we had ordered crystal vegetable dumpling and baby corn, carrot and beans dimsums. it tasted amazing with the sweet chilli sauce.

stone spicy local potato with chilli, onion and celery had a perfect blend of spices. we ordered clay pot seasonal vegetables with shichuan chilli sauce along with fried rice with bean sprouts, bell pepper and chinese cabbage. this is something which one shouldn't miss. noodles lovers should definitely try wok fried udon noodles with black pepper, green onion and bell pepper.

a chinese meal is incomplete without hot pot tea. though only no tea is mentioned in the menu, do ask for a separate tea menu. from the list of teas from east, we ordered crystal tea which had infused flower flavors.

on and all, a must visit place of you are looking for a great experience with some amazing food.

chinahouseis breaking it out again with all new menu and new chef (still not updated on zomato) we had amazing time after a long time at hyatt regency as chinahousehas opened its doors again , got the same warmth and vibes like before with delicious food like never before . we ordered all vegetarian food:

the wonton soup and hot and sour soup was amazing!

starter
assorted mushroom dumpling
beijing spinach pancakes with pine nuts
lotus root fritters with potatoes served with sweet and sour dip

main
sizzling treasure vegetables with chestnut and mushrooms in sweet onion sauce, main course was served in hot stone bowl which was tempting

fried rice with smoked bamboo shoots, green onion and sinchuan chilli oil.

twice cooked crispy noodles with seasonal vegetables sauce.

desserts
and the star was the bulls eye desert which was divine 😇

my experience at chinahousewas great, i went on a afternoon lunch date and we ordered prawn tempura, dan-dan noodles, kung pao chicken and ended with stone bowl bull’s eye, chocolate cake - litchi gold swirl.
i would recommend this place and gonna visit again to try more.

so it was our 3rd anniversary and we wanted to have a fine dining experience in chinese cuisine. we got to know about 'chinese hot pot by the poolside' festival happening at chinahouseand booked the table asap. since, we had a flight to catch after dinner; i called them to book a table and prashant told me that they will take our orders in advance so that we don’t have to waste time in ordering. once we entered the restaurant, prashant and akash kept everything ready as discussed and made sure that we finish our meals in time. to ensure we had the perfect hot pot experience, they regularly monitored our table. we were highly impressed by their impeccable hospitality!

about the event:
hot pot is a delicious and fun communal eating experience hailing from eastern china. it involves a huge bowl of broth placed in the center of a table that is heated there via induction or flame. ingredients ranging from raw vegetables to thinly sliced meats are placed on the table so that diners can submerge them in the broth to cook before eating.

we ordered:
vegetarian chinese hot pot

broth:
mild herbal vegetable broth

vegetable hot pot includes:
fried tofu, corn on the cob, coriander, lotus root, tomatoes, carrot, assorted zucchini, assorted exotic mushrooms, ice berg lettuce, broccoli, napa cabbage, bok choy, spinach, winter melon

served with:
udon noodles and jasmine rice

dips and accompaniments:
peanut & sesame dip, soya chili sauce, chiu chow chili, sweet thai chili sauce, sliced thai red chili, braised peanuts, spring onion

overall, we found this concept much more than just a culinary experience. it’s like a social do-it-yourself cooking experience where the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table, in a manner similar to fondue. in china, the suggested reason behind hot pot is that it has the power to enhance friendship and unite family members or colleagues.

if you want to have a great time with your partner or want to go for a date, this place is just perfect! this will definitely give you one of a kind fine-dining experience.
p.s.: they also arranged a complimentary anniversary dessert, isn’t that cute?

had a wonderful birthday lunch. though things were coordinated on prior the experience was surreal. we were catered to by a great team. prashant helped us plan everything for the birthday and akash and his team (pardon me for not recollecting your other team members names) made sure everything was executed well.
they had a good grasp of the menu and we were recommended the dishes as per our palette.

looking forward to try out your new revised menu for the chinahousesoon..

went to chinahousetoday and was highly disappointed with the service and quantity of food as well as worst service on a monday evening.hope they improve in future days.would not recommend to my near ones.

i went to chinahousewith my relatives on dinner for the first time in ahmedabad as i am from udaipur but the experience i got was awesome, especially the warmth and suggestions which i got from the server karan, i really appreciate his work which made my meal even tastier and also the ambience was very nice. i'll surely visit chinahousefor the next time when i'll come again to ahmedabad 😊

i have visited chinahousea couple of times and everytime i am greeted with amazing staff from the f&b and kitchen team
especially karan and dhawal from chinahouse
really great service and food and amazing ambience

you have to relish two things to love this place: a quiet ambience, and ‘chinese’ chinese fare. and if you have to be lucky to have karan as your server.

to add flavour, try their orange-clove drink. i could go back to chinahousejust for that.

undoubtedly one of the best family dinners.

family dinners like these should be memorable. chinahousereally did step up and match my expectations and give us an amazing peaceful friday night family dinner with awe striking food.

we’re vegetarians so i called up beforehand to ask about the way they cook their vegetarian meals. without hesitation they answered that they have separate utensils, etc for vegetarian so told us not to worry, this really did ease our worry!

we had the:
-sichuan hot & sour vegetable soup with bamboo shoot;
-crystal vegetable dumplings;
-clay pot seasonal vegetables with sichuan chilli sauce
-fried noodles with beansprout, bell pepper, chinese cabbage & mushroom
-vegetable maki roll

i must say, all of the dishes were made to perfection and absolutely delicious! we had asked for no mushrooms due to my grandparents not liking them and they were so helpful and easy going about it.

the service was fantastic, you really feel special! with valet parking and a staff member always around to help, it really made a difference! we even asked to meet the chef to tell him we loved his dishes, the lovely chinese man was absolutely delighted. couldn’t speak english that well, bless his soul, but that didn’t matter, what mattered was his talent for cooking!

the price was actually very affordable, nothing at all, just like peas for amazing food and an experience like this!

the privacy and attention we got alongside the lovely food made the evening extremely special and one the five of us will always remember!

thank you, china house! i’ll be sure to come again when i’m back!!

so it was her birthday and she loves chinese so there was no other place than chinahouseto take her and make her happy with the best chinese food ! they have pure chinese flavoured food as there was a live kitchen where you can actually see which sauses and products they are using and that were from china i guess! so we have ordered dumplings which has a very authentic taste and also we have ordered crispy vegetables as our starter which was again very tasty and last but not the least we have ordered chilli garlic noodles which was so so amazing! please try their noodles if you go there! and please visit chinahouseif you are also a chinese lover! ♥️ staff was very helpful and generous!

your tastebuds would be blown away and you shall experience a state of complete bliss after a magnificient luncheon at this spectacular asian cuisine serving fine dine restaurant.

 it gives me immense pleasure in penning down another exalted experience with "vegetarian" chinese cuisine in ahmedabad. this sublime restaurant serving unbeatable chinese food prepared right in front of you with utmost care, using some of the best ingredients that oozes of flavours and some special techniques offers one of a kind fine dinning experience.

the service is impeccable and they have curated an amazing menu for their guests.


drinks:
1. herbed yezi - refreshing coconut and lychee drink loved the flavours.
2. anise si - star anise was the main ingredient of the drink, it was a spicy treat.
3. ginger ròuguì ale- as the name suggests, a strong ginger flavour elevates the drink which otherwise works as a good intermediatry between each meal to cleanse your palate.

dimsums:
1. crystal edamame pouch - steamed dimsum pouch with black truffle paste, stuffed water chestnut & fur beans the combination worked wonderfully.
2. mushroom medley - shitake mushroom, black & white fungus dumpling another marvellous item these were to die for.
3. ying yang dumpling - black & white sesame dough stuffed with vegetables and sweet potato tastes great when dipped in their inhouseoils/ sauces, the chilly oil being perfect.
4. beijing dumpling - asparagus, celery, peanut & fragrant chilly oil this lot had a noticable crunch element that added to the texture of the dimsums and tasted great.
5. crispy golden puffs - these were lite, yam coated dimsums stuffed with vegetables and curry leaves a rather different take on dimsum.
6. pumpkin chiu chow dumpling - lotus stem is a major ingredient in asian cuisine as it provides the crunch to a dish and has adds to the elements in a dish and also has a subtle flavour hence does not overpower other flavours going on in the dish this batch of dimsums are stuffed with lotus stem, asparagus and chilli oil.

so the dimsums are basically bland, in order to suit your tastebuds you can always add salt and pepper as well as the sauces/ oil that are on the side to improvise according to your liking.
if you are a dimsum fan you shall go bonkers over the varities they have to offer, even if you are not you shall surely start to like them if you have them here.

main course:
1. udon noodles - thin rolled flat noodles just a blessing these noodles were cooked so well and the sauce was so delectable you cannot not like this main course, a sureshot favourite during all visits here.
2. silken tofu - delicious melt in your mouth tofu with a medium spicy gravy that works well with the fried rice.
3. sticky fried rice - a bowl of sticky jasmine rice tossed in soy sauce the staple maincourse item here!
4. shandong potato - thin slices of potato in ginger gravy an itense flavour that hits your tastebuds and is like a blow in your mouth definately too strong for me. gee. .

their ongoing dimsum festival is till the 31st of october! #dimsumhavesome
