a high-end asian food restaurant on the 2nd floor of the hyatt on ashram road, the restaurant is agreataddition to the gastronomic landscape of the city.

ambiance and decor: classy dim lighting creates a very special ambiance to the restaurant. this is very ably complemented by thegreatdecor and artifacts. the rather large restaurants has very thoughtfully been divided into smaller sections that imparts a cozy atmosphere as well as keeps noise levels down. rating 4.5/5

service:  great attentive service that starts right from the entry till the end of the meal. the waiters are familiar with the cuisine and can help you with your order. rating 4.5/5

food: i ordered a chicken hot and sour soup which was just okay. i have had significantly better flavoured hot and sour. the kung pao chicken was lip smackingly good. the prawn siu-mai was excellent, the chicken was soft and juicy and the shell perfectly thin and soft. 4/5

all in all an an excellent speciality asian restaurant that i will wholeheartedly recommend to all.

overall a really nice authentic chinese food experience.

suggestions provided by chef yuzuo were apt! we loved dumplings in spicy broth soup and the dim sums weregreattoo.

for mains we tried fried rice with chicken, egg and asparagus. it was very flavourful.

the only negative point was the service. nobody was there to attend us and order took a lot of time.

i visited this place with my family for lunch. a perfect place where we could find food that would satiate every one's taste buds. good ambiance and amazing service would make you feel special. our server mr. bhagwati made sure we had the best dishes from the menu.

coming to the food, we had ordered vegetable noodle soup. it is same as veg. clear soup served at other places. dumplings and dimsums are a must have for any authentic chinese cuisine. we had ordered crystal vegetable dumpling and baby corn, carrot and beans dimsums. it tasted amazing with the sweet chilli sauce.

stone spicy local potato with chilli, onion and celery had a perfect blend of spices. we ordered clay pot seasonal vegetables with shichuan chilli sauce along with fried rice with bean sprouts, bell pepper and chinese cabbage. this is something which one shouldn't miss. noodles lovers should definitely try wok fried udon noodles with black pepper, green onion and bell pepper.

a chinese meal is incomplete without hot pot tea. though only no tea is mentioned in the menu, do ask for a separate tea menu. from the list of teas from east, we ordered crystal tea which had infused flower flavors.

on and all, a must visit place of you are looking for agreatexperience with some amazing food.

delicious food andgreatservice. it's a bit expensive but is compensated bygreatservice and 50% off on wednesdays. i booked my reservation through the hyatt dining club.

they are also willing to make some small customisations to your food as per your taste. want more mushrooms ,chicken or add a completely new vegetable.

only a little disappointing factor was less options in poultry mains.
vegetarians will have a lot to choose from.

so it was our 3rd anniversary and we wanted to have a fine dining experience in chinese cuisine. we got to know about 'chinese hot pot by the poolside' festival happening at china house and booked the table asap. since, we had a flight to catch after dinner; i called them to book a table and prashant told me that they will take our orders in advance so that we don’t have to waste time in ordering. once we entered the restaurant, prashant and akash kept everything ready as discussed and made sure that we finish our meals in time. to ensure we had the perfect hot pot experience, they regularly monitored our table. we were highly impressed by their impeccable hospitality!

about the event:
hot pot is a delicious and fun communal eating experience hailing from eastern china. it involves a huge bowl of broth placed in the center of a table that is heated there via induction or flame. ingredients ranging from raw vegetables to thinly sliced meats are placed on the table so that diners can submerge them in the broth to cook before eating.

we ordered:
vegetarian chinese hot pot

broth:
mild herbal vegetable broth

vegetable hot pot includes:
fried tofu, corn on the cob, coriander, lotus root, tomatoes, carrot, assorted zucchini, assorted exotic mushrooms, ice berg lettuce, broccoli, napa cabbage, bok choy, spinach, winter melon

served with:
udon noodles and jasmine rice

dips and accompaniments:
peanut & sesame dip, soya chili sauce, chiu chow chili, sweet thai chili sauce, sliced thai red chili, braised peanuts, spring onion

overall, we found this concept much more than just a culinary experience. it’s like a social do-it-yourself cooking experience where the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table, in a manner similar to fondue. in china, the suggested reason behind hot pot is that it has the power to enhance friendship and unite family members or colleagues.

if you want to have agreattime with your partner or want to go for a date, this place is just perfect! this will definitely give you one of a kind fine-dining experience.
p.s.: they also arranged a complimentary anniversary dessert, isn’t that cute?

we had visited this restaurant for the first time when it had recently started! we went for lunch recently in last week of october with friends and had a good experience! service isgreatover here!!! food- if someone is looking to try authentic oriental food then this place should be visited!

had a wonderful birthday lunch. though things were coordinated on prior the experience was surreal. we were catered to by agreatteam. prashant helped us plan everything for the birthday and akash and his team (pardon me for not recollecting your other team members names) made sure everything was executed well.
they had a good grasp of the menu and we were recommended the dishes as per our palette.

dim sum dishes were good. for the main course we had shrimp and pork dishes that were very well prepared albeit quantity is on the smaller size. overallgreatfood.

overrated restaurant and much below expectations against what was heard about it!! food was not thatgreatand service was also ok. 3 stars only for ambience being hyatt or else would have been only 2! really disappointed. tinello @ hyatt is much better!
