was here last nite for dinner. it is famous chain of hyatt for chinese cuisine.

i have visited there mumbai hyatt china house number of times. best time to visit mumbai ch is after 10.30pm.

ahd ch is on 2nd floor of hotel. resto is best in town in terms of decor, styling n setup. the best part is they have huge open kitchen with glass section n u can watch 2-3 young chinese chefs preparing food for u.

service is very good,goodstaff n specially jasmin, he will help u guide u for your order.

we had soup-sichuan veg wonton in spicy broth. 5/5

one eggplant starter. it was like potato wedges , nothing new. 2/5

clay pot veg with sichuan chili sauce.3.5/5

fried rice 4/5.

this current rating is done regarding a visit a while ago. being a regular customer i am sad to see the restaurant business going up but service quality going down. i have been visiting china house the fifth or sixth time since their opening and im upset to see that the whole teams has been shifted into different other sessions. all that is left is one nice guy who remembered us. others are cold faces who hardly cared about our needs. we had come to china house expecting that it would be a quiet place for us to have dinner as it usually has less customers on weekdays. that day the place was filled withgoodamount of people so we have requested to get a table away from the crowd so that we get some privacy. first the stewardess rewuested that we wait and she will ask for permission. she came back with a refusal saying that the session on the other side is closed. so in disappointment we have requested just to keep the ac slower becos boo was not keeping so well. she said that she will reduce it. 5mins later with customers sitting in around us, which made the whole place real noisy, she came back to serve other customer in the table next to us, we didnt figure that there was a big change in the ac so we asked and she replied saying that she did it alrdy, which we cant say anything becos we dont wna look like we are too demanding. we started deciding what to eat and here comes a steward in a suit asking us for our order. when asked questions regarding the japanese menu, he clearly have no idea of what is being served and had to check it up several times with the kitchen. i have no problem with that. but the idea of him expecting that i shud be able to decide right after him giving me unclear information was quite wrong to me. he said coldly but professionally if i am going to take time deciding then he will first take someone elses orders. we are like 'um ok'. so he went off and used a very different tone and spend a lot of time taking some other big business class foreigner customers with their order, patiently and warmly, the difference was clear. i guess cos we were in casuals and they were in formals? that only he would have known. the only thing that had saved this review from being a zero was that half way waiting, one of the stewards who recognises us showed up and greeted. so we flooded him with our needs and he fulfilled all of them without a single question!!!!! the seating area, the ac in that empty sitting area, water, small snack starters, everything. without a question! we told him how different the whole place has become and how much changes have been done regarding the service standards and staff arrangements. he was very apologetic and had really brought us back to heaven from hell.
for this passionate staff of yours i would love to give you guys a five star rating cos he really saved the whole restaurant cos this is one of the few places which i get to cure my home sick with nice people and service and food. however, im giving a two to raise awareness to the management about how new staffs are ruining customers' experience over here. i hope the management would instead of only putting all the best people to develop and settle new places, please also put efforts in replacing them with same passionate and well-mannered staffs in order to maintain the service quality you had from the beginning till the end. if not then at least train them to become one.

boo had made me a birthday party yesterday night at china house and its the best birthday ever! (not only that boo sahil fernandes has been doing a perfext arrangement with the decor team and communicating with the hyatt team💕) the china house team has played a very big role throughout the whole time! a bit slow (just very very bit as i understand few dishes preparation time is long) but verygoodservice😊 very warm and cheerful and helpful staff💕 a😱best part is awesome food for both non veg and vegetarian😋😋😋 as a chinese i would say they have really done a verygoodjob in making the veg food taste authentic as well cos here in india with limited ingredients its quite hard to makegoodauthentic veg food but you guys have done a reallygoodjob! no doubt in all 7 course there is one or two course which has to be a bit indianised but i still say i love them💕😱goodjob china house👍 (rating: 4.5)

i visited this place with my family for lunch. a perfect place where we could find food that would satiate every one's taste buds.goodambiance and amazing service would make you feel special. our server mr. bhagwati made sure we had the best dishes from the menu.

coming to the food, we had ordered vegetable noodle soup. it is same as veg. clear soup served at other places. dumplings and dimsums are a must have for any authentic chinese cuisine. we had ordered crystal vegetable dumpling and baby corn, carrot and beans dimsums. it tasted amazing with the sweet chilli sauce.

stone spicy local potato with chilli, onion and celery had a perfect blend of spices. we ordered clay pot seasonal vegetables with shichuan chilli sauce along with fried rice with bean sprouts, bell pepper and chinese cabbage. this is something which one shouldn't miss. noodles lovers should definitely try wok fried udon noodles with black pepper, green onion and bell pepper.

a chinese meal is incomplete without hot pot tea. though only no tea is mentioned in the menu, do ask for a separate tea menu. from the list of teas from east, we ordered crystal tea which had infused flower flavors.

on and all, a must visit place of you are looking for a great experience with some amazing food.

i like the foods and the location was convenient. and the server whose name is akshey was kind and he recommendedgooddishes.

we had visited this restaurant for the first time when it had recently started! we went for lunch recently in last week of october with friends and had agoodexperience! service is great over here!!! food- if someone is looking to try authentic oriental food then this place should be visited!

had a wonderful birthday lunch. though things were coordinated on prior the experience was surreal. we were catered to by a great team. prashant helped us plan everything for the birthday and akash and his team (pardon me for not recollecting your other team members names) made sure everything was executed well.
they had agoodgrasp of the menu and we were recommended the dishes as per our palette.

something really different from the usual amdavadi street food. definitely reasonably priced and pretty much sumptuous on quantity. an evening where i decided to treat myself up for some chinese craving. the ambience was absolutely classy and was a treat to the eyes. impeccable hospitality and some amazing quality of food for which hyatt is famous for.

to try, definitely the dimsums for the festival that's running and the fried rice with chicken, egg and garlic. it's definitely sumptuous for one and reasonable on the pocket. i'd also heavily recommend the caramel rocher. an absolute monster of a dessert its just perfect to end agoodmeal at this place.

best chinese food in ahmedabad, i have tried so many chinese restaurants but this is one of the best chinese restaurant of ahmedabad. a verygoodambiance, great food, loved it.

i was invited to the dimsum festival at china house. they have an exciting collection of dimsums with a wide variety of ingredients - some of these are ingredients i've never yet had anywhere in ahmedabad - like truffle oil. the ambiance is superb, beautiful lights, and comfortable, fanned out seating arrangement. even the service is great - certainly what you'd expect from a restaurant at hyatt. here's a list of the things that i tried:

ginger rougui ale
the ginger ale was refreshing, especially owing to the touch of the cinnamon, that was infused in the drinks.

crystal edamame pouch
the crystal edamame pouch were some great looking and delicious dumplings. the outer dough in which the edamame was stuffed was so thin that it became almost translucent after steaming, giving an extremely appetizing appearence to the dumplings.

mushroom medley
even the mushroom medley dumplings were almost translucent, beautiful looking delicious dumplings. the mushroom filling had a crunchy and creamy texture, adding to the deliciousness of the dumplings.

ying yang dumplings
these were black and white dumplings made by mixing ground black and white sesame seeds in the dough to impart a beautiful looking contrasting colour effect. in addition to being super delicious, these were also super delicious.

crispy golden puffs
these were fried dumplings - quite frankly, i didn't like them too much.

pumpkin chiu-chow dumplings
personally, i didn't like even the pumpkin chiu chow dumplings too much, although some of my friends seemed it like them quite a bit.

poached chicken pokchoy spheres
the poached chicken pokchoy spheres were the best of all - poached chicken dumplings covered with pokchoy leaves and then steamed - an absolute delight on the taste buds.

xiaolongbao
these dumplings were stuffed with minced pork and jelly - although the pork tasted great, i'm not a very big fan of jelly in dumplings, which is why i didn't like it too much.

spicy corriander chicken
even the spicy corriander chicken dumplings were also delicious. the crunch of the corriander gave a great in-mouth feel along with the chicken.

cha sui chicken puff
personally, i'm not a huge fan of fried dumplings, so don't mind me when i say that i didn't like these too much.

the items below are available on the regular menu as well:

shandong potatoes
these are great tasting sliced potatoes tossed in a delicious spicy-tangy sauce. these taste especiallygoodwith noodles or rice.

udon noodles
the flat noodles were cooked great and tasted great with the lamb curry and the shandong potatoes.

silken tofu
personally, given the choice, i would rather not eat tofu or paneer - but the sauce in which the silken tofu was tossed was delectable. but since i don't like the texture of tofu, i didn't quite like the overall dish too much.

jasmine fried rice
the jasmine fried rice were also cooked well and tasted delightful with both, the shandong potatoes and the lamb curry.

stone bowl lamb curry
the stone bowl lamb curry was the highlight of the meal - a star dish, if you might. the curry was delicious and even the lamb was perfectly cooked; and it tasted absolutely fantastic with the jasmine fried rice and the udon noodles.

firstly the ambience is really good... and lots place for private groups... i would give it 4.5/5 for ambience.

we ordered the veg hot & sour soup which was really good, very rich flavoursome broth, next was crispy veg which again was crackling crisp and delicious, we also tried the veg crystal dimsum they weregoodbut i think the sauces on the table can be improvised upon... for main course we had veg chilli garlic noddles again the noodles were also very good, lovely hit of garlic and chilli only downside was that it was slightly more oiler than we'd prefer.

we were tempted to try desserts and i think i would like to go there again & again for their caramel rocher bar it was that good. we tried the cherry chocolate mousse too which again was equally delicious.
