cactus flower cafe navarre

caught it crowded...... kind of small place anyway. i've heard it was good. well, i found the place small, clean for the most part, and food bland. chips andsalsamust be publix bought. wine margarita....get real....yuck! service was good, fast, and food not so much. i find better alternatives in the area for mexican. humble opinion was how can you mess up beans and rice? well, i found out. enchiladas and quesadillas were just overpriced for a bland but fairly large portion. overall, i would suppose the walking distance for tourists from nearby hotel, will keep it going...... we'll pass it by!

i'm from texas and would not put this into the same category as mexican or tex-mex. has a very limited menu. portions are big but the price for food is high for what you get. chips are store bought andsalsais tasteless. wouldn't recommend if you know what even decent tex-mex taste like. was very disappointmented

awsome food and service !!. my family is from pace fl and we go to navarre quite often for a day at the beach and dinner. i was raised in california and grew up on mexican food. i was blown away by how big, no - how huge, my burrito was. it took up the whole plate and was the best tasting burrito i have ever had. i'm usually not into the "cafe" style places but will go back to cactus flower for sure. my daughter ordered nacho's and they were the bomb. we were seated as soon as we walked in the door, brought chips and excellentsalsaas soon as we sat down, and drink orders taken very fast. friendly service and awsome food - we will be back for sure, we found our new favorite place to eat in navarre !!!

terrible food, slow service. the chips are made by frito lay (we saw them being delivered by sysco), thesalsaleaves much to be desired, the queso is bland and flavorless. my kids wouldn't even eat half their meals and my husband, who ordered the chimichanga, noted that we should have just gone to taco bell and eaten better for less than half the price.
if you like flavorless food from a can, then you would like this 'mexican restaurant'. if you're looking for a good mexican restaurant, this is not the place for you.

this is by far one of my favorite returants!! i love the mexican salad with chicken and the lime dressing. i love the freshsalsaso much that i sometimes buy it by the pint to take home eat over the weekend. the owners and staff are so nice. i get carry out from there when i get home too late to cook sometimes and my food is always as ordered. they have even sliced a fresh avacado for me when i requested it for my salad. yummy!

bad mexican. not sure what all the rave is about for this eatery. the chip are from a bag that i can buy at publix,salsais so so. the quesadillas are small for the price although very tasty. chicken chimichanga is good size, but all cheese while you have to search around to find the meat. lime salad dressing is way too sour! wait staff is very good and attentive. cactus flower is far from california mexican and certainly not close to gourmet or higher end cuisine. we do know how to order and are not very picky about our food, however we do give honest reviews.

loved it. the food was amazingly tasty. thesalsawas excellent. i had the chicken tortilla soup it was perfect. my hubby had the huge burrito. it was full of rice,beans,meat and santa fe sauce the taste was perfect. my son had the chimichanga w/pork it was so tasty.we will be back. waitress was awesome too. the portions are large.

good mexican food and thesalsais homemade and amazing!! sometimes it feels a little snobby in there especially one particular waitress. my food has always been good though!

very good. just moved here from texas & was looking for a good mexican restaurant.salsa& queso are good, big dinner portions also.

fresh and delicious. fresh ingredients, great service, a nice clean atmosphere, and reasonable prices make the cactus flower cafe in navarre a winner. i had the beef chimichanga and my wife had the fish tacos. both dishes were excellent, with tasty sides, served promptly and with a nice presentation. our server was very knowledgable of the menu, pleasant and helpful. the chips andsalsaflowed freely, with the chips being light and crisp, and thesalsaperfectly made, with the right balance of spices. top it off with a cold beer, and you have the perfect meal. local or tourist, make a point of stopping in at the cactus flower, you'll be glad you did.

everything was great: food, service, cleanliness. thesalsawas so yummy we bought some to bring home. the burrito was the best i've had in a long, long time...not sloppy and wet. i've never been a big sangria fan, but theirs was deelish...wish i'd ordered the carafe.

overall was very pleased with this restaurant. hubby ordered fish tacos which were outstanding. i ordered some sort of mexican salad which was also outstanding! only thing that was marginal were the chips. definitely we're not made at the restaurant.salsawas good though! highly recommend.

hit or miss, mostly hit!. with not many places to find great food in navarre, there is a need for cactus flower. i have been several times as i live in seagrove and pensacola, so i pass thru navarre often. tho i really prefer the pensacola location, i have had great food at the navarre location too. the tacos & salads are good, and quesadilla is the best. avoid the chili soup. the wait is long, but the wait staff are kind, making sure you pass the time with a lot of chip andsalsarefills.

love cactus flower! it is not just another mexican restaurant. food is always fresh and plentiful. the owner is usually there and makes sure everything is good. highly recommend the guacamole, mango shrimp and fish tacos. best i have ever had! service is always good and if you have to wait, it is well worth it. when we come to the beach, which is often, we always eat here. only thing i would change would be the store bought chips. thesalsais so good the chips should compliment it! don't miss this wonderful little cafe!

the mango shrimp appetizer will make you divorce your spouse and run away with it. get them.

best restuarant in navarre. cactus flower brings delightfully fresh flavors to a cuisine that is known for it's heavy cheeses and oil use. not the case here. it's "california style" mexican is something to cherish indeed. the food is always delicious. i have eaten every single item off the menu and have never been disappointed. first timers should try the queso bites, chicken tortilla soup (best i've ever had) and the chicken salad w/southwest ranch. their rice also gets a shout out because it is top notch.

they use mostly olive oil and canola oils for their dishes and i can appreciate them trying to be a healthier place to eat.

one of my favorite things about mexican restuarants is that when you sit down you are given immediate gratification in the form of tortilla chips and salsa, cactus flower does not disappoint in this regard and theirsalsain particular is amazing. i've noticed that they have toned the heat down a little recently which is definitely a smart move for all those out there who don't prefer spice (my wife included).

the service is always great and i've never been caught looking at my watch wondering when the food will get to the table. the atomsphere is very calm and relaxing.

cactus flower is original and the only restuarant of its caliber in navarre, if you are visiting it is a prerequisite before leaving the area.
