a coworker recommendcactusflower cafe to me. they were pretty busy but we only waited 10 minutes for our table. our server suggested the burrito to me. it was the size of the plate and delicious. my girlfriend had the crab quesadilla and loved it. the service and food was outstanding.

cactus flower cafe is by far the best mexican cuisine in navarre. we have eaten there since they opened two years ago. the service as well as the food is outstanding! if you haven't tried the mahi tacos do so!

black bean enchilada's. my boyfriend and i went there for the first time on new years eve. they are very vegan friendly. i had black bean enchiladas that were out of this world!!!! the guacomole was the best that we have had. we will be going there on a regular basis now!!

awesome. without a doubt one of the best places in the area. if you like cali-mex this is the place to go. we have tried everything on the menu and love it all. the sangria is really good as well. if you are looking for your cookie cutter mexican joint that uses the same delivered bags and cans of food with the stock 200 items on the menu, this is not the place to go. if you are looking for a place that makes hand crafted food to order, prides itself in quality, and has a full range of flavors, you must visit thecactusflower.

bottom line, eat here. if vacationing here, plan 3 meals here and then eat here 5 times before you leave.

believe the hype. ignore all the negative reviews. if you are like me, you scroll through these reviews to read, specifically, the bad ones. the negative reviews a quite mind-boggling. the food here is exceptional. the ingredients are fresh. nothing comes out of a can. they do not use lard.

if you love chimi's, let me put it to you like this. i don't ever eat in at restaurants. i just prefer eating at home. so, as usual, i order the chimi to go. i have about 10 miles to drive betweencactusflower and my house. if you ever frequent 98 you know the traffic is always bad. it takes me 20 minutes to get home, another 5 to sit and eat. the chimi is still crispy. the interior still melty. outstanding.

if you are visiting, eat here. if you are a local, eat here. don't think about it, just do it. the service is friendly. the food comes out quick. an ideal experience.

awsome food and service !!. my family is from pace fl and we go to navarre quite often for a day at the beach and dinner. i was raised in california and grew up on mexican food. i was blown away by how big, no - how huge, my burrito was. it took up the whole plate and was the best tasting burrito i have ever had. i'm usually not into the "cafe" style places but will go back tocactusflower for sure. my daughter ordered nacho's and they were the bomb. we were seated as soon as we walked in the door, brought chips and excellent salsa as soon as we sat down, and drink orders taken very fast. friendly service and awsome food - we will be back for sure, we found our new favorite place to eat in navarre !!!

delicious.cactusflower cafe is delicious! i am an incredibly picky eater and i loved their food. very fresh and tasty. i got the enchiladas (shredded beef was my favorite) and my husband got their special (blue crab quesadillas) both meals where great, their quesadilla soup was amazing as well. the service was good, the waitress was helpful. it's been a while since i've had good mexican food, this was exactly what i was looking for, i will definitely be back again!

bad mexican. not sure what all the rave is about for this eatery. the chip are from a bag that i can buy at publix, salsa is so so. the quesadillas are small for the price although very tasty. chicken chimichanga is good size, but all cheese while you have to search around to find the meat. lime salad dressing is way too sour! wait staff is very good and attentive.cactusflower is far from california mexican and certainly not close to gourmet or higher end cuisine. we do know how to order and are not very picky about our food, however we do give honest reviews.

we are from the atlanta area and navarre beach is our favorite vacation spot. we foundcactusflower cafe a couple of years ago and liked it very much, so we always plan to eat here when we are in this area. they serve the best chicken chimichanga i have had anywhere!

fresh and delicious. fresh ingredients, great service, a nice clean atmosphere, and reasonable prices make thecactusflower cafe in navarre a winner. i had the beef chimichanga and my wife had the fish tacos. both dishes were excellent, with tasty sides, served promptly and with a nice presentation. our server was very knowledgable of the menu, pleasant and helpful. the chips and salsa flowed freely, with the chips being light and crisp, and the salsa perfectly made, with the right balance of spices. top it off with a cold beer, and you have the perfect meal. local or tourist, make a point of stopping in at thecactusflower, you'll be glad you did.

the best restaurant in navarre by far!. it is quite the understatement to saycactusflower is my favorite restaurant! i have never been disappointed! anyone who says otherwise is obviously too picky and uninformed of how to order properly.
the relaxing atmosphere always calms my hunger pangs and soothes my stomach after becoming too full! the service is nearly almost perfect, complete with smiles, laughs, and excellent dress code. i feel like my server truly enjoys serving me and strives to make my dinner as wonderful as possible. (and it always works!) they definitely deserve the taste of navarre awards they have received!

as someone who has worked in a restaurant before, i understand the highs and lows of a busy evening. the greatest thing aboutcactusflower is that even under pressure, when all of the tables are full, i was never disappointed with my service. even if a slight stumble was made, it was certainly made up for by the end of my meal.

another great plus is the prices! my boyfriend and i have never spent more than $30-$35 for a meal well worth the money! we always come back excited to try something to new!

my favorite is the quesadilla! the only complaint is that i always get too full to finish my food, so i unfortunately have to skip out on dessert. however, the large portions are perfectly fine because the food makes great leftovers!

p.s. congrats on the upcoming pensacola beach location! it's going to do fantastically out there!

never again!. my first visit to thecactusflower turned bad quickly. while there for the dining for life benefit i was shocked by the behavior of the owner of this restaurant. we had called ahead for a table for 10 however before arriving, one member of our party who actually knows the owner, gave him a courtesy call to inform him that we did not need a large table as previously requested. when we arrived we also informed the hostess that we only needed a table for 4~5 and was told "no problem," and was seated at a table for 8 anyway. we ordered cocktails and reviewed the menu and discussed the "dining for life" cause. our waiter was fabulous and we placed our orders within 20 minutes from arrival. before our meals arrived, the owner approached our table and very abruptly said: "are you all going to hang here all night?" we were shocked by his rudeness and comment. when one of our guest told him she had just driven from pensacola to dine for life knowing a % of our bill was going to a good cause, he told her she could "go back to pensacola" and "stay there" he did not care. this man should not be in this business at all. had we not been there to support a friend trying to do a good thing for a good cause, we would have walked out. the food was very good and we tipped our waiter very generously knowing he was not responsible for the owners rudeness. never again will any of us go to this restaurant.

hit or miss, mostly hit!. with not many places to find great food in navarre, there is a need forcactusflower. i have been several times as i live in seagrove and pensacola, so i pass thru navarre often. tho i really prefer the pensacola location, i have had great food at the navarre location too. the tacos & salads are good, and quesadilla is the best. avoid the chili soup. the wait is long, but the wait staff are kind, making sure you pass the time with a lot of chip and salsa refills.

lovecactusflower! it is not just another mexican restaurant. food is always fresh and plentiful. the owner is usually there and makes sure everything is good. highly recommend the guacamole, mango shrimp and fish tacos. best i have ever had! service is always good and if you have to wait, it is well worth it. when we come to the beach, which is often, we always eat here. only thing i would change would be the store bought chips. the salsa is so good the chips should compliment it! don't miss this wonderful little cafe!

like the original. i ate here one time when i was over in navarre; stopped in for lunch. its mostly like the 12th avecactusflower, but i noticed that my fish tacos tasted a little different in a good way. i asked the server about it and was told that they use a little different recipe than the one in pensacola. in my one visit to this location i would say it was good

the mango shrimp appetizer will make you divorce your spouse and run away with it. get them.

best restuarant in navarre.cactusflower brings delightfully fresh flavors to a cuisine that is known for it's heavy cheeses and oil use. not the case here. it's "california style" mexican is something to cherish indeed. the food is always delicious. i have eaten every single item off the menu and have never been disappointed. first timers should try the queso bites, chicken tortilla soup (best i've ever had) and the chicken salad w/southwest ranch. their rice also gets a shout out because it is top notch.

they use mostly olive oil and canola oils for their dishes and i can appreciate them trying to be a healthier place to eat.

one of my favorite things about mexican restuarants is that when you sit down you are given immediate gratification in the form of tortilla chips and salsa,cactusflower does not disappoint in this regard and their salsa in particular is amazing. i've noticed that they have toned the heat down a little recently which is definitely a smart move for all those out there who don't prefer spice (my wife included).

the service is always great and i've never been caught looking at my watch wondering when the food will get to the table. the atomsphere is very calm and relaxing.

cactus flower is original and the only restuarant of its caliber in navarre, if you are visiting it is a prerequisite before leaving the area.

great food!. i have eaten atcactusflower for over a year. i love everything on the menu. the tortilla soup and mahi taco are my favorite. i love the atmosphere and the fresh salsa is amazing. lately the service is lacking. i think they have a bunch of new servers. the other night was my worst experience my waitress stood around talking while our drinks continuously needed to be refilled she took forever to bring our check and she had the most annoying voice. she was very rude. we will continue to eat atcactusflower because the food is so amazing but hope we don't get that waitress again.
