a la turca - rixos the palm dubai

of all the turkish restaurants i have tried in dubai , this is the one i liked the most ... went there for my birthday brunch this year .. good ambience , great food , turkish desserts such as the famous baklava , kunefe was there in the buffet . got a complementary cake too .

went for the buffet here! tried the steak which was pretty good. it had good selection of appetisers and desserts. the place was awfully packed on the day and struggled to take orders and serve on time! caught them on a really busy day ! that apart a place worth trying!

tried this place thanks to our company dinner. honestly place is a bit far off but that did not put me off from having a positive mind towards the meal.

high expectations do lead to disappointments i guess. the range of food is overall good but not much for the vegetarians. just buttered rice, stir fried veggies, channa masala and lots of dessert's. thank goodness for the pasta station which made some delicious pasta. and of course the salad station which had some delicious hummus and green salads.

they have a live grill station, we can choose the meats or fish required and ask them to grill it but again no option of adding sauces to the grills. there are some sauces provided near the food stations but no dishes to actually serve it in.

desserts were again a disappointment, lots of options but taste wise very average. liked the arabic sweets better than the cakes.

service average. outdoor seating views are amazing though.

at the moment turkish cuisine is trending in dubai, lot of new turkish restaurants have been opened recently and the old ones have had a makeover in the menu department. around the last week of september, i was invited to a saturday turkish brunch at a la turca restaurant. i have tried turkish cuisine many times, but for the very first time, i was trying the turkish brunch and naturally i was excited.

dinner buffet: a good variety (pasta, salads, cheeses, roasts, indian, turkish and a dessert station). the food tastes great (with the exception of the steaks which were below average). the staff are very friendly. okay/good value for money at aed 200 per person.

we will dine here again! recommended.

drinks were ordered when we sat down, had to ask three more times and they finally arrived after we had eaten. not busy, staff looked confused. food ok, meat tough. over priced and staff need to wake up.

celebrated my birthday weekend at rixos palm and we had a great time at the brunch. beautiful ambience with live music is definitely how i enjoy my brunch. love the fact they had live bbq & seafood station along with endless main course selection. however, do not leave without trying their turkish kunaafa (its to die for)

i called a la turca to find out if the entertainer voucher could be used for the breakfast buffet. the receptionist at the restaurant was shockingly rude and unpleasant, saying that they do not accept entertainer vouchers for their breakfast buffet because their hotel is so full and there is no place for me (as a walk in customer). she could have simply said "sorry the entertainer vouchers are only for lunch and dinner" although this was not written anywhere on the terms and conditions of the entertainer voucher.i am really appalled that a 5 star luxury hotel like rixos will employ people with such bad customer service attitude. there are plenty of 5 star hotels with buffet meals in dubai and i will be glad to take my business somewhere else more deserving.

great restaurant, all delicious turkish food and very good service. at brunch and dinner variety of foods are more than enough. big thanks to all staff especially to emrah and melise.

it was quite busy on friday night and we sat for the turkish cuisine themed buffet...very limited variety of food, some food items were cold, which were supposed to be hot, did not make our experience worthy.

ambience and service was good.

had complimentary breakfast here during my staycation at rixos. was super hungry and everything was delicious to me haha but it's really just like any other buffet styled restaurant in any hotel...

to eat real turkish food, this is the place to go. 
very good selection of authentic turkish dishes, and desserts.

there is a room for improvement in the beverages department, tea and coffee not served hot. 

i like the open buffet in a la turca, a unique open buffet with a turkish touch.

if you’re a lover of turkish food then you are in for a treat this ramadan. al la turca in rixos the palm is dishing up some of the best turkish dishes in town. (this has been verified by my turkish flat mate who joined me for the iftar evening).there is so much choice it can be a little overwhelming at first but it’s easy to navigate and there is plenty of staff on hand if you need some help.

​​tucked away from the bustling sound of the city is a 5-star hotel that offers a remarkable view of the dubai's skyline. inside this majestic hotel lies a restaurant specializing in turkish cuisine that offer an iftar buffet for the ramadan season. getting to the place is not a walk in the park. the prime location being at the far end part of the palm makes the whole duration of the trip long.

we had iftar at a la turca and i wasn't disappointed. the beautiful setting and lavish spread compensated for the long drive (i live on the opposite end of dubai!) the best part is the unlimited steaks! must try
