zorba's

it was team lunch and we chose this restaurant to celebrate our colleagues b’days. it was a greek and italian restaurant offering great dishes. it was quite empty. we got the table back at the restaurant. i must say our server was well courteous, patient and ready to answer whatever silly question we asked. we ordered 7-8 dishes which includes following

homemade lamb burger-i had it and i must say it was a big chunk of fat lamb juicy patty. quite delicious

buffalo chicken sandwich- it was also good

chicken shish kabab- first i wanted to try this, but one of my colleagues had it and he said it was good.

other folks had steak & cranberries salad, tuna, fish chips, falafel wrap and other dishes and it was all good. only thing was after order, they took almost 40 minutes to serve. never mindfoodwas good and we enjoyed it.

yup one more thing- we ordered from the lunch menu and all item was under $10 so it was well under budget so definitely recommended for lunch and we would definitely come back for lunch.

best tiramisu!. i have been here twice now and i have loved thefoodboth times. the clams casino are perfect and well worth the 20 minute wait! the gyro platter is excellent and although i want to try something else on the menu i keep going back to the gyro!! the tiramisu is out of this world! you definitely need to try this place if you love greek food... opa!!!

can't get that greatfoodout of my mind!. really missing zorbas!!!!! anticipating the re-opening asap!!!!

super tastyfoodwith great service and prices. i am from new york city and travel south to nc and ga for business. found out about zorba's thru a friend, and made a stop on the way. what a treat! if you like shell fish, try muscles. you won't regret! specialties such as stuffed grape leaves, and hummus are yummy too! i love meat so their new kebap additons were one of my favorites. my wife had salmon and it was moist, nicely seasoned! very good! for desert, i suggest zorba's home made tiramisu. these guys know what they are doing!
when you add great service and super reasonable pricing, this place is a must even for some spoiled new yorker!

i enjoy greekfoodand zorba’s greek restaurant provided the fix for my greekfoodattack.  our family pounded down the appetizers; saganaki (greek cheese flambé - very well done), spanakopita (spinach pie in flaky pastry) & dolmades (grape leaves).  plus, they had the best warm bread.  

for the main course, we were treated to delicious eggplant parmigiana & chicken cooked in pastry.  the kids enjoyed the pizza & pasta.  zorba’s is not bashful about the amount offoodthat they serve.  all of our dishes contain immense amounts of food.  you will not walk away from zorba’s hungry or with a clean plate. 

zorba’s strength is its food.  the atmosphere is average, but thefoodwill knock your dining experience out of the park.

food: love it. large portions. for locals. i'm sure you'll have a lot to take home.

customer service: excellent. my daughter and i are traveling thru. she was not very hungry and the portions were huge. she loved her dish and they asked if we wanted to takefoodhome. we told them no. because we at traveling. so the manager approached us and assumed she did not like herfoodand offer to give her any meal on the house. we assured him we loved thefoodand we were traveling. as a business owner i appetite great customer service.

it feels like home. tried out zorbas after my friend read about it in ceo magazine!foodwas excellent, portions to die for! also the manager had to be the sweetest guy! will most certainly go back, especially to try that chicken marsala i was eyeing at the table next to me!

very impressed. i just went to zorba's for the first time after seeing the positive rating. this restaurant not only does not disappoint but exceeded my expectations. first off, the ambiance is great. it really looks like a nice restaurant, and the music is upbeat and softly playing in the background. it is great for a date night or an enjoyable evening with a group of friends. the service is also amazing, very polite, there when you need them, and they don't pressure you to box up yourfoodbefore everyone is done eating. i had the dolmades avgolemono, which is meat and rice wrapped in grape leaves and covered in a creamy lemon and chicken flavored soup and it was amazing! if you are not feeling that adventurous, that's okay too! my companions had a gyro plate and chicken shis kebabs which were also incredibly delicious. it is also very reasonably priced and the portions are quite large.

thefoodwas "meh". i make better avgolemolo soup at home and i felt like all the dishes that included "lemon sauce" just reused the soup! plus the chicken wasn't fully cooked. the only thing i liked was the italian salad dressing. pretty sad.

not a great night.. my friends and i went to zorba's on a girls night out. we knew it was going to be pricey, but we had heard that thefoodwas good so we stuck it out. the service was great, as we were one of 3 tables filled, but thefoodwas only mediocre and not worth the price. at all. plus, they charged us an extra two dollars when my friend asked for an extra plate! the entrees are huge, so we were going to share; i mean, it was a family sized meal on the plate, but it's an extra 2 dollars for every person you share with. that took an already huge price (14 dollars for a plate of spaghetti with barely-there meat sauce) to a whopping 18 dollars. eighteen. when we added another entree, it came out to 30 dollars total, without the tip or any drinks. we had water. we were incredibly disappointed; for that price, we could have gone somewhere much nicer and gottenfoodthat tasted better than what we could have made at home. not to mention that the salads tasted old and packaged. the only thing i enjoyed were the rolls, of which you get three. no matter what your party size. i asked. the whole place was very dark, which could have been intimate except for the football games playing at the bar where the owners were drinking. we will certainly not be going there again!

splitting a meal. i have always been a big fan of zobra's but i have to admit on our recent trip i was not impressed with the service. my dad and i met for lunch and we ordered the pastitsio entree. we asked if they would split it for us. the waitress seemed annoyed that we were doing this and said they don't like for people to split meals. when she brough the dish out, it was not split for us as they have done for me in the past and we had to request an extra plate.

we split the meal ourselves and were extremely happy with thefood(its the best pastitsio around), but were taken back when our receipt had a a $2.00 split fee attached to it. i can understand the charge if they split the meal for us but not when we were given an attitude, no extra plate and had to split the meal ourselves.

everyone in my family always splits meals because portions everywhere are entirely way too big. my grandparents split meals, my parents split meals and so does my husband and i. this is the first restaurant that has given us a hard time about this and tapped on a fee. needless to say, i was really unhappy with the service.

great!. great service, great food! visited for lunch and was seated immediately, thefoodwas plentiful and delicious, and the tea was great!
