thisplaceis my favorite sushi around. its cheap, you get a lot of food, and great service! i only wish the were open later. love happy hour!

if you are in to paying $3.00 extra dollars for a small portion of fried rice with frozen vegetables in it, then this is theplacefor you. it even had corn included. the food was absolutely disgusting. the sushi was very good, but other than that, it's awful. the prices are outrageous for what you're getting. a kid's meal is over seven bucks. i do not recommend.

the food is amazing and the owners are very friendly. i travel to springfield a lot and this is my go to restaurant. theplaceis also large enough for parties! can't say enough good things about it! you have to try!!

from the wasabi cucumber appetizers to the mouth watering sushi rolls (the glenstone roll is to die for) to the hot and steamy yaki u-dong noodles, this restaurant is amazing! it's my favoriteplacein springfield to eat!

my husband and i had avoided thisplacefor quite a while thinking it was "fast food" sushi. we finally broke down and tried it one evening. we were very pleasantly surprised. ordered the teriyaki chicken and bulgogi beef. they were both delicious as we're the three different sushi we had. the atmosphere was relaxing and just right, between formal and casual. we will definitely go back and try new sushi selections, too.

excellent local restaurant - like!. i was visiting springfield for work, just got to town and was hungry. drove down glenston ave and passed many japanese, chinese, and other asian restaurants (along with almost every damn chain restaurant in america). i stopped to check urbanspoon and found a japanese sushi bar and grill called wayo.

walked in and was greeted very nicely by fred, the owner. he recommended some sushi rolls, which came with some amazing wasabi cucumber pickles and miso soup. the rolls i had were sunset and 911 roll. very fresh, bright tasting, and wonderful ingredients.

thisplacehas a great attitude towards food. they make almost everything from scratch!!! the wasabi pickles, from scratch. the teriyaki sauce, from scratch. the korean bbq ribs, from scratch. it is this type of passion with food that you don't anymore. restaurants are always cutting corners, buying canned sauces and frozen pre-made dishes. not wayo sushi bar and grill.

i can't wait to return and try the korean bbq ribs and beef bulgogi!

@last two people i agree with what you both say partly. i never agree to "bash" anyone. and realize wait staff are human, well have bad days. now wrong food and stuff can be changed. but! dont let 1 bad experience let this great sushi restaurant slip away from you. i have been eating here since the opening, and take over by new management. i will say, if the owners now know/knew what was takingplacethey would/will try to make it right. they are great people and take great pride in there establishment! god bless you all!

12/27/10 ate at this wonderfulplacetonight. they were on a skeleton crew, but still the best service i've received in a long time anywhere. the presentation was also beautiful! a wonderful evening well spent!

most delicious!!. all the food and meat is handpicked by the owner. fresh vegetables, meat just melts in your mouth. it is one of the best places to eat in springfield for the price and the huge amounts of food you get and i've eaten everywhere. it is me son's favoriteplaceto eat and i know he is eating healthy!! he loved the fresh fruit and he got an awesome deep fried ice cream dessert for his birthday...wow, that was unreal good. i've been back 3 times now and intend to go again! i highly recommend thisplaceto eat. oh and the private booths are really cool!

i was suprised by thisplacewhen i walked in. it is relaxing and a very enjoyableplaceto go out for a girls night out or for a first date. the wasabi cucumbers are amazing! hooray for sushi night!!! thanks for having a greatplacewayo, to enjoy sushi and friends!

worth your time. after having had them deliver to me several times i can honestly say it is some of the best sushi in springfield. i have tried pretty much everyplace in town and this is some of the best and cheapest. plus, the 100% selling point, they deliver! the only things i have found that i do not like about this place... 1) they charge a $5 delivery fee- even the pizza places and sub places in town only charge $2-$2.50; and 2) the miso soup that you get with your meal has been absolutely terrible every time i have had it. other than those small things, thisplaceis definitely worth checking out for good sushi.

thisplaceis really good!! the atmosphere inside is quaint but the food is excellent for a great price. i had dinner there again a couple nights ago and saw they are delivering now too!
