this place is my favorite sushi around. its cheap, you get a lot of food, andgreatservice! i only wish the were open later. love happy hour!

best sushi andgreatprices, sweet people the food is great. highly recommend. argo tea place in springfield. try it you'll like it the prices are great.

homemade soy sauce,greatservice and fantastic food! we had sushi and noodles...i can't decide which i enjoyed more. as for the service, at one point i looked around for my beverage..thinking i may be spilled it on the floor because it disappeared! ten seconds later our server came back with a refill.
i'll definitely be back here!

we got here during happy hour (4-6) so our roll was both delicious and 30% off. i got the shrimp box with the spicy crab roll, it was good but it only had 7 pieces of shrimp. alwaysgreatservice and food!

great stuff! stopped here on our way through town and we weren't disappointed. most, if not all, of the soups and sauces are homemade and fred & kira lee aregreathosts. i don't think you can go wrong here!

excellent local restaurant - like!. i was visiting springfield for work, just got to town and was hungry. drove down glenston ave and passed many japanese, chinese, and other asian restaurants (along with almost every damn chain restaurant in america). i stopped to check urbanspoon and found a japanese sushi bar and grill called wayo.

walked in and was greeted very nicely by fred, the owner. he recommended some sushi rolls, which came with some amazing wasabi cucumber pickles and miso soup. the rolls i had were sunset and 911 roll. very fresh, bright tasting, and wonderful ingredients.

this place has agreatattitude towards food. they make almost everything from scratch!!! the wasabi pickles, from scratch. the teriyaki sauce, from scratch. the korean bbq ribs, from scratch. it is this type of passion with food that you don't anymore. restaurants are always cutting corners, buying canned sauces and frozen pre-made dishes. not wayo sushi bar and grill.

i can't wait to return and try the korean bbq ribs and beef bulgogi!

@last two people i agree with what you both say partly. i never agree to "bash" anyone. and realize wait staff are human, well have bad days. now wrong food and stuff can be changed. but! dont let 1 bad experience let thisgreatsushi restaurant slip away from you. i have been eating here since the opening, and take over by new management. i will say, if the owners now know/knew what was taking place they would/will try to make it right. they aregreatpeople and takegreatpride in there establishment! god bless you all!

wowgreatplace!. just want folks to know that of the sushi , as a novice, i have eaten in springfield this was by far the best. the crab rangoons had the best filling i have ever eaten. the salnom was over the top. the service was incredible and there were not enough people enjoying this wonderful experience there for a week day afternoon! i gush, but that's okay. it was awesome.

springfield has an inexplicably high number of exceptional sushi restaurants, and wayo definitely makes the cut. their glenstone an vegas rolls are among my favorites anywhere. for my money, wayo's always agreatchoice.

i was suprised by this place when i walked in. it is relaxing and a very enjoyable place to go out for a girls night out or for a first date. the wasabi cucumbers are amazing! hooray for sushi night!!! thanks for having agreatplace wayo, to enjoy sushi and friends!

there are better sushi places in springfield. went here for lunch and only two tables top 30 minutes to get 4 rolls. they were ok norgreatand comparably priced to nicer places. i think the atmosphere still has the feeling of this building was a burger king.

wow! the food and service was excellent. the decor isgreat- booths feel very private. have eaten at a number of sushi restaurants in springfield and i have to say the sushi here is really among the very best. definitely recommend the 911 roll. you won't be disappointed!
