great service and the sushi is fantastic!

there are better sushi places in springfield. went here for lunch and only two tables top 30 minutes to get 4 rolls. they were ok nor great and comparably priced to nicer places. i think the atmosphere still has the feeling of this building was a burger king.

wow! the food and service was excellent. the decor is great - booths feel very private. have eaten at a number of sushi restaurants in springfield and i have to say the sushi here is really among the very best. definitely recommend the 911 roll. you won't be disappointed!

really good sushi and excellent service.

looong wait. my husband and i went to wayo a few weeks ago with some friends that highly recommended it. the service then was great aside from the awkward "manager" that kept making comments in which we had no response to. the food was absolutely delicious. they have happy hour during the week. 30% off all sushi. great deal!

i went back just my husband and i on valentines day and the wait was absolutely unacceptable. the restaurant was not busy in the least and we waited and hour just to get our appetizer. we saw 3 groups be seated, fed and leave (who came after us) before we even got our sushi. an hour and a half passed when we finally received our three sushi rolls. my husband asked for an additional discount in addition to the 30 percent off happy hour sushi. they waved our $8 appetizer which was nice of them. they were attempting to be accommodating by passing out extra complementary soup and salads but the wait was more then irritating.

you couldn't pay me to eat here again.... our waiter ruined everything. with a party of 8, he told us to wait while they set the tables....and then grabbed my husband around the waist like he was getting tackled and shoved him onto the couch!!! this was within the first 2 minutes of being there. we were mortified. as the night unfolded he personally made everyone at our table feel uncomfortable by physically putting his hands on them. his stomach grazed at least two peoples' backs (mine included) when he set our water on the table. we had zero private conversation because anything that was said he magically appeared and interrupted, shifting the focus onto him.
when our food came out, he started hitting me with the menu over and over on my arm telling me that i need to "stand up for myself because my friends were jerks." he would not stop hitting me and i was embarrassed and close to crying at this point had an anxiety attack at the table. i then had to excuse myself and go to the restroom to put myself together. he then starts hitting another member of our party in the arm repeatedly and he had told our waiter to stop hitting and touching him and had to repeat this several times before he got the hint. i will never go back to wayo and i have been telling everyone of this story so that no one else has to face this rough waiter.

worth your time. after having had them deliver to me several times i can honestly say it is some of the best sushi in springfield. i have tried pretty much everyplace in town and this is some of the best and cheapest. plus, the 100% selling point, they deliver! the only things i have found that i do not like about this place... 1) they charge a $5 delivery fee- even the pizza places and sub places in town only charge $2-$2.50; and 2) the miso soup that you get with your meal has been absolutely terrible every time i have had it. other than those small things, this place is definitely worth checking out for good sushi.

wayo has absolutely the best sushi in town! everything is so fresh and delicious, plus it comes with complementary miso soup. they also have a daily happy hour during the week that makes the already affordable prices even cheaper. add in the weekend late night sushi, and the competition is out of the running! i absolutely love this place! the service is always great- especially james.

great place!. love the atmosphere here. the dinner "boxes" are really great. along w/ the rest of the meal (complimentary miso soup, a salad and the box's tempura veggies, 2 crab rangoon and watermelon) you get two entree choices. i get the teriyaki chicken and a cali roll. believe me, you wont leave here hungry!!

also, yeah, our waiter... wow! he taught us twice (two different visits) how to properly poor a beer (which took like, a long time... too long acutally!) and also commented on the weight of one of the diners we were with which was very, very much not ok!

amazing!!!. my girlfriends and i ate here tonight and we all agreed it was the best sushi in springfield, mo!!! great taste and great prices! highly recommend this place.

this place is really good!! the atmosphere inside is quaint but the food is excellent for a great price. i had dinner there again a couple nights ago and saw they are delivering now too!
