urban kitchen

for a family celebration we tried the urban kitchen dinner buffet. selection of food was good with a broad range to cover most and chef was happy to prepare something extra to cater for the member of our party with food allergy. big thank you to the restaurant staff in particular jason who took special care of us at our table. 👏👏

the urban kitchen situated in the dusit thani hotel is simply fabulous.

this was one of the best dining experiences i've had in a long time.

our group of 10 were greeted at the entrance and ushered to our table. we were well looked after, and checked on regularly by the supervisors.

the service was super efficient, friendly and courteous.

the buffet itself was large and varied and caters to quite a few tastes. they have an extensive salad selection along-with a limited but very satisfying live sushi station.

there is an excellent cold seafood bar serving huge mussels, baby octopi, prawns and razor clams. 

there is also a large asian selection with staples like pad thai, lemongrass chicken and hunan beef. there is also a roast section serving wagyu beef, lamb , chicken and roast duck!! 

there are live stations serving thai dishes, pasta and desserts. there was also a section serving a selection of customary indian and arabic dishes. 

for desserts there is a huge selection of cakes, cheeses and fresh fruits to satisfy any palate.

would i go back? many many times. two thumbs up.

a very good experience, been there with my family recently and both the buffet spread and the ambience was very nice. took the house beverages package and overall staff service was commendable.

4 stars for the five stars. there were plenty of food in the buffet but does not fully rejoice my appetite. but wow! the desserts were overflowing and really delicious. the stir fried noodles however is delightful. the place is very satisfying and spacious. the staff were also attentive and always smiling.

breakfast here is a must try. they have a wide range of options and all of them are totally filling. what i love the most - pancakes, fresh juice, omelette and coffee. they also serve south indian options at times which is quite amazing.

a fantastic option for friday brunch. it’s called “wok with me” and very recently it was relaunched. if you are a seafood lover, then this is paradise! the amount of options they have. from oysters, mussels, lobster to prawns, scallops and squid. you will find everything here. they are fresh and ready to dig in. for the ones who aren’t a big fan of seafood, don’t you worry, there are so many other options like rotisserie meat, pasta counter, thai counter, sushi counter, indian chaat counter. the options are endless. have you ever heard of a caviar bar? well they have that too! i highly recommend their buffet on friday’s!! i met their head pasty chef and sous chef and they were the nicest and happiest people i’ve met. they were passionate about their work and the creative desserts they made were fabulous. so many colors, so many flavors. they have one dessert from all over the world. as a sweet tooth, i had to capture some dishes in my photos! see below.

very good buffet with variety of dishes. we really enjoyed the food and service. the grilled items were juicy and the far eastern dishes were delicious.

super very disappointing it was my birthday and the food was not delicious at all there were no chefs available on the cooking counters the sushi was not fresh we were told its an international but had no variety and was just a waste of money  however the staff was very friendly  .

for the friday brunch, you have the choice of thaï, asian or ondian food.

we had a good time. the food (buffet) was great and the staff was friendly as well. highly recommended for a couple date as the ambience is perfect for it.

been there for buffet brunch, large selection of menu items including sushi and thai. the desserts and coffee/tea selection are complementary to each other. live cooking station for italian and arabic were worth waiting for.

been there twice on fridays and the menu were different in both days.

we were invited to enjoy their iftar in dusit style! dusit thani abu dhabi, the iconic thai hotel in the city, is really famous for organizing such themes events evolving from the social, educational, seasonal, commercial to traditional festival events like street food exhibitions from thailand where everyone gets involved.

i went for the iftar buffet at urban kitchen tonight.
the buffet was beautifully set up, with a great variety of dishes displayed. i started off with the salads (traditional arabic greens) and soup. i took a plate of the arabian side snacks as well.
i loved the potato &a garlic soup with croutons it was my favorite.
main course was a mix of arabic-asian-indian cuisine which i thought was great as it catered to everyone's palette nicely, vegetarians and non- vegetarians.
there was a section dedicated to grills. there was chicken, lamb, beef and lamb chops along with grilled hamour for those seafood lovers.
the ambiance of the restaurant was middle eastern. the decor was dim lit with arabian music playing in the background, we were served kahwa at the end of our meal which is traditional middle earthen green tea.
i enjoyed my time at urban kitchen, for the money i spent i thought it was a stealer deal. the food served was tasty and options were unlimited. i loved it!

great food but terrible service . they failed to provide service .chef joseph was amazing he is trying to provide good experience in dining but there is no waiter to look at the table . we felt like lonely at dinner time at 9 pm there is a huge staff but they are not even asking for glass of water. at 9.55 pm a lady came to me and saying that we are closing in 5 minutes while having desert we feel like something very bad about it . they just spoiled my visit. .

i was in staying in dusit thani for few days for a exhibitions. serene ambience & good service.
used to have my food from here. it's really a very fine dining experience.
most of their breakfast menus were good as well.
