if you like breakfast.......... ........this is the place to go in town. food is hot and delicious, and it's always got a great atmosphere. just beware come early cause this place is always packed.

my fav breakfast place!. i've been a fan of toast since they opened. the pancakes are light and don't leave you feeling like there's a cement block in your tummy. cliffie's plate is my regular dish of choice b/c i love a big breakfast. sometimes the wait is long, sometimes the service is a little harried, i'd recommend going on a weekday to avoid the hustle and bustle of weekend brunch rush, or just getting there a little later. every experience i've had there has been a positive one, it's where i take out-of-town guests for breakfast!

a nice lunch spot for a group. this used to be my once a week work lunch spot when i worked downtown on east jefferson. it was close by, had decent parking, wasn't too expensive, and had both breakfast and lunch items to suit your mood. sometimes theres a small wait but you are usually seated quickly and the service is prompt. my favorite were the blueberry pancakes, the california club panini, and the caprese grilled cheese with tomato soup. my friend always got the omelets (and the spicy bloody mary) and they looked really good as well. the specialty drinks are a little pricey like others had mentioned so i normally stuck to coffee (which is outstanding) or coca-cola. out of 30+ visits i don't really have any bad experiences to speak of.

i've eaten here for breakfast a number of times and always enjoyed it. if you come here for lunch i still recommend getting the breakfast food. also, the bourbon mimosa is worth trying since its so unique and has a really good flavor.

got pancakes they were nothing special. they were the most average pancakes you can make.  they syrup was the generic high frutose corn syprup junk you get at kroger.    my wife got eggs and toast.  it was just white bread toast. so much for the toast.  they must have a small grill because we went at 10am on a weekday, not busy and still took 30 min to get food-not a complicated order.   never going back.   
pros:
it was decently priced(but what is the point of going when you could easily make something better and cheaper at home).service was nice and friendly.

absolutely love it. i am completely in love with their lemon souflee pancakes. just the right amount of sweetness, plenty of awesome lemon flavor perfect fluffy pancakes... i could eat these every day. on the few occasions i have been able to talk myself into trying something new, it has always been amazing as well. their potato casserole stuff is divine, their tomato basil soup and the grilled cheeses are to die for... the service has always been excellent. i highly recommend toast on market.

enjoyed brunch here. creative menu and great food. very cool atmosphere. our waitress was great. loved the french toast and spicy bloody mary

our party stumbled upon toast on market and very much enjoyed our meal. the service was quick and very friendly. we ordered the steak and eggs - not what we were anticipating, but delicious; bananas foster french toast - with lots of bananas!; omelette with cream cheese and smoked salmon - my mom will be talking about it for years; and the garlic grilled cheese add bacon - maybe the best meal of the day! would return next time we are in louisville!

we've been to toast many times and have always had a nice experience. eggs & toast, and egg sandwich are some of my favorites. great bloody mary's too!

the food was middle of the road, the service was fine, but was overall not worth the wait. this was not a gluten free friendly restaurant.

horrible experience.

we have talked about visting toast for weeks and finally took the hour drive to come into louisville to have their fare.

we arrive at 2:05 to be told the store is closed.

however the time here listed on site says they close at 3.

wasted day and bad experience because they couldnt accomadate a 5 min late party who drove an hour to eat there specifically.

next time, take some extra care to ensure time schedules are correct on social media and reservation sites.

have just been here for lunch a couple times but both times were good experiences. food is prepared well and the wait staff was friendly and helpful.
