brunch ok, but too expensive.. the sunday brunch was ok, but not worth $17.99 or the wait. salmon was dry and overcooked and you have towaitin the omelet line to get it. scrambled eggs also overcooked and had formed into a brick-like mass. tater tots were soggy. bloody mary had way too much black pepper. salad was chopped up iceberg with lots of shredded cheese. pancakes were good, green beans were awesome, biscuits were good, but the jam is very cheap little packages and tastes awful. spend a few extra dollars and go to vin de set instead.

ok food, horrible service. have tried this place several times, and hate to say it but we keep trying despite the poor service.waittimes can be extreme, you may walk in and stand there for a while before anyone even greets you, or your server can just forget about you and your food while she goes outside to take a smoke break and not even thank you for your patronage at the end of the meal as she throws your check down on the table.

food good, drinks and service bad. 6 of us went to dinner on saturday and thewaitwasn't bad. the food was really good. the service was horrible and so were the drinks. dont get the mojito unless you like watered down diet sprite. i never return food. but all my friends tried it and they didn't like it either. so i asked for a different drink. i got the the blue monkey, which was worse than the first drink. the waitress said i couldn't get it off the tab so a friend called the manager over, told her we were not mad, just disappointed and the drink needed to be taken off the tab. she did not seem happy but eventually agreed. stick with the beer and food and don't go to get chummy with the staff, because that won't happen.

had potential but failed. got off to a bad start, had towaitfor 20 minutes with several empty tables in plain view. the drink i ordered was great. lobster rangoons were $8 for 5 small and tasteless morsels. $9 gyro consisted of some shreds of nasty lettuce, a sad excuse for tzatziki, and 3 small slices of gyro meat (no tomatoes, wth?). $9 bbq bourbon beef sandwich had very good beef and sauce but the cheap, store bought bun fell apart and made the sandwich a mess (why no pickles?). fries with both meals were disgustingly soggy. i would consider going back for drinks, but the $30 worth of food was a joke.

wouldn't go back. thewaitwas really long... it took forever to get the orders in (server was mia and no... it wasn' t busy) and the food took a while to come out. we hit the last 20 minutes of the buffet time on sunday and they said we couldn't have it. so, instead we had to sit and watch everyone else eat it while it took them a good 40 minutes from sit down at the table to get our food to our table. nothing worth returning for. bummer.

great pizza. i finally went to the three monkeys this past week on a wednesday night. we were able to get a table right away. our table of 4 ended up getting pizza (split 2 16" pizzas and had left overs). the pizza was excellent and i would highly recommend it. it has a medium crust that reminds me of the thickness of nyc style pizza. cheese and toppings were fresh and well blended. we also ordered drinks and my friend and i recommend the bellini on their cocktail menu.

everything was decently priced (cocktails $6, pizza $17), service was prompt and attentive, and they let us hang out at our table long after we were finished without hassling us. they also have a nice cozy pub/grill atmosphere. wasn't smokey.

my only caution is they are normally packed on the weekends. i've tried going there 3 times in the past (prior to this visit) on either a friday or saturday and they've had 1-1.5 hour wait. i would call ahead and check on theirwaitbefore you head over.

hmmm. i know people who love this place. six of us went for dinner on saturday at 6:30. after an hourwaitwe had okay food but not really worth waiting that long for. the pizza crust was wonderful (not a st louis-style pizza lover) but the rest of the meat-lovers pizza was bland and boring. the caesar salad was good. friends had some ho-hum food, as well. still trying to figure out what all the hype is about?

overhypyed. this place sucks.

i live 2 blocks away and have been 10ish times. almost every time i have had towaitforever to get a server or my food. it makes a simple dinner un-enjoyable.

one week night earlier in the fall i my gf and i went there for a 'quick' pizza.... it turned int 1.5 hours and the place wasnt even busy

also, it is not even remotely good pizza. dewey's, pi, the good pie, and about 100 other pizza places in st louis are way better.

dead to me; i am now a net detractor

three monkeys. a small venue, not a lot of seating, so thewaitcan be long. the chicken wings are really excellent, a crucnhy crust like no other. the pizza good, but not up to east coast standards.

sandy. we really enjoyed our first visit to 3 monkeys--i had a "fat burger" and it was the best hamburger ever (and hamburgers are my favorite meal!). don't be tempted by the exotic sounding fried potato salad. fried potato pieces tossed in mayonaise and other seasonings are horrible. can'twaitto go back for another meal.

-----23 may, 2008-----

first visit. the lobster ravioli was good, but couldn't detect any lobster in it. the fried potato salad was a novel idea, but was absolutely terrible--way too tart, and warm mayo is not pleasant. however, the fat burger i had was one of the best burgers i've ever had (and, trust me, i've had a lot of burgers). i'll be back to try other menu items, if i can resist ordering the burger over and over.
